We went to the tap room two weeks after going there for the first time and Dee remembered both of our names! She remembers what we drink and what we tend to drink. Now we are regulars. Yummy pizza, Caesar salad, prime rib and meatball sliders... everything we've had has been good. The ambience is nice too. The service, though, in this restaurant is what we appreciate most. Good laid back genuine service. Casual relaxed atmosphere. Cool old building with a great selection of beers and ciders on tap. We ordered the soft pretzel to share on site and took two sandwiches home with us. The pretzel was amazing ! Served with 3 tasty sauces. One was a marinara that tasted house made but I can't confirm that. Sandwiches came with a generous side of chips and quality lettuce/tomato. We found that they were tasty wrapped in foil and heated in the oven later in the evening. Prices were very fair/affordable. We'll definitely be back. read more

We aren't local, but we are frequently in Shelton and this spot has become an absolute favorite... it's a total gem. The tap list is always great and varied, but the food quality is just entirely off the charts, and since we started coming here we've tried a lot of the menu. I don't often order pizza at home anymore, since I'd rather just wait until our next Shelton trip and have theirs. Service is always friendly, attentive, and spot on (even with complex orders and allergy requirements). I'm super grateful to have a "go-to" place when we are out here to visit, and wish we had a spot like this in our neighborhood at home. read more

Traveled from Olympia to try this place out. Had the Tap Station Burger and a couple beers. Wife had her favorite Lemon Basil Cider from One Tree. Burger was awesome and the price was better than anywhere around the Olympia area. Definitely coming back here. Fun atmosphere too. Nice server. read more

This restaurant has expended their menu to really good Italian food. They also have nice wine, a really good local Pinot Noir. My husband and I came in with his elderly parents and there was nowhere for us to sit. Nice couple that was sitting at a top offered to get up and sit at the bar so that we could eat. After a fun day at the Vance Creek Rail Riders on 6/24/23 around 3pm, four of us stopped in at this place for a beer and some lunch. The first thing we noticed was a smell we couldn't identify (non-food related) and was pretty unpleasant. We sat at our table to get the lay of the land and the waitress came over. We said hi to her and asked if we could order beer flights. She said, "NO", and quickly walked away. When she came back to our table, we asked her again if we could have some flights because it said on the wall that they had them. She VERY rudely, said, "Not when I'm busy!!" and turned and left our table. We understand that staffing is short-handed these days and we give grace in those instances. But we decided not to give this establishment our business as the waitress was extremely rude and she had no desire to serve us. They lost out on at least a $100 tab and we will be sure to share our experience with others if they plan to be in Shelton. read more

Nice clean and newer place for some local craft beers. I did not order any food, who has time for that when their is beer! Lots of selection of beer. I did get a flight of 4 local brews. All the kegs we perfect and the order took 1 minute to get. Great customer service, friendly and checked on us twice. If I am in the area I will come back. And they have wine. Great for those that don't drink beer. I think the cleanliness, variety and customer service are the highlights. read more

Great draft and wine selection! When the kitchen is open that have a great menu of snacks and eats. There's plenty of room for social distancing and the location is great with ample street parking. Hmmmm.... What is that aroma? Has the Tap Station tapped into a septic tank? This aroma has caused us to leave a number of times. Last night it was not as bad, but strangely, the pizza had a septic-like flavor. Or perhaps, it just tasted like shit! I ordered the pizza with additional toppings but swear they were not added, but I was charged anyway. They didn't bother to call us when the pizza was ready - who knows how long it sat there. The cheese bread looks like a cheap one dollar loaf of French bread from Safeway with some cheddar cheese on it. The pizza was so gross it went in the trash when we got home, uneaten. I do not recommend this establishment at this time. read more

Honestly, the food here is great, but there is no place to sit. Tables are close together, and when you go to sit at the bar, they won't wipe down your area. Literally, they just ignore you while you sit in the previous customer's crumbs and spilled liquid. You shouldn't even have to ask to get your area wiped down.. The service is horrible. Not to mention the uncomfortable quietness from the lack of background music. At least put some 80s music on or something so people can have their own private conversation? My recommendation is to call ahead and order to go. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you, then by all means, enjoy. read more

Did not try the food but the tap selection is great. The atmosphere is modern taphouse/ gastro pub. While I only had beer, other people seemed happy and enjoying their food. The bathroom is clean and managed. I wish they had a to go case with bottle selection. This place has decent food as Shelton goes, but last two visits service was terrible, 45 min wait for food and didn't even get asked about getting a fucking beer in a place with Tap Room in the name. Waitress know me from many previous visits where I always tipped generously as I always do when service is good. This second visit I got the 45 min food warning from another patron sitting next to me in the big picture window. Last time I had to go up to bar to order beer and wine for myself and wife. Had a party going in next room and no extra staff to tend to regulars. I am going to speak with owner next time I run into him and let him know his staff needs to step up their game. I could cover this whole joint myself and am 62 and haven't waited tables or tended bar since I was in college many years ago. Come on Scott your a Republican Businessman, step it up man. Hire some folks that give a shit about their job and have some work ethic. Questionable if I will ever go back. I've known the owner for decades and thought we should try it out so today we went for lunch. Scott was there and welcomed us very freindly. I was surprised at the selection because I hadn' heard what the menu was other than good beer, pizza and raviolis. Then I seen there was hummus, one of my favorites. My wife and brother had the Ceaser salad, my daughter the meatball sliders and I hade the mushroom soup and the hummas. The waitress was VERY nice and prompt. and served my beer cold (German of course) right away. The food was FANTASTIC! The salads were fresh fresh with fried cheddar garnish (WOW) and lots of chicken. My daughters meatball sliders were awsome and more than just meat on a roll. My hummas was addictive and garlic galore. The mushroom soup was hot, hearty and perfect! I don't get impressed about resturaunts very often but I am about this one and not at all because I know the owner as a freind. Please go there and support this establishment.
