Shelton has so many nice places to stop and see. At lunchtime or high noon the place to be is, High Steel Beer. Stacie greeted us and we were able to sample the beers made at the establishment. Plus they do have two ciders and Root Beer offered. Our choices were the A Punkin-Funk which is a Smokey slight pumpkin Porter at 5.7% Oakland Bay IPA 6 % and K-Dog Highclimber Lager which is a 4.9% Vienna Lager. The decor was perfect with a picture of a High Steel Bridge and sitting also bar area was great. The tables of area trees give homage to the height that they grown and their journey. Love the live edge. Our food choices the Oyster Basket, Fish and Chips and a Veggie Burger with Blue Cheese crumbles were all gourmet delights. Fresh oysters were cooked to perfection and the HSB sauce was a perfect addition.

We were in Shelton for business and were looking for a place to get lunch. We wanted a place that was kid friendly and found High Steele Beer. We walked in and was immediately greeted by the girl behind the bar. She told us how it worked there and that we could sit whenever. To the left was some seating and beyond that was the arcade and where they make the beer. To the right is a larger dining room area with tables and booths. There also appears to be an upstairs as well. We ordered our beers at the counter, but ordered our food via their QR code. Husband got a porter and I got the amber ale. I'm not a beer connoisseur or anything, but the amber ale was good. To eat we got the Irish Nachos and the Boneless Cauliflower. The boneless cauliflower was supposed to be like boneless wings, but I was thankful they were drenched in a sauce. I felt like it was just enough. Nachos were good as well, I enjoyed the tots with the beer cheese. They have some fridges where you can buy beer to go.

Stopped in here after viewing a home nearby. Didn't try any of the beers. The burgers we had were excellent. Pilled high with toppings and two thick cut slices of bacon. The waitress was nice and sweet. Seating here is a little on the eccentric side, I liked it!

Came back from a hike with my typical beer and burger craving and this place delivered! A great find. Got the bridge burger and the in-house IPA. Quick service, comfortable atmosphere, super tasty burger and beer. Will be back!

    Fried pickles

Pulled pork sandwich exceeded expectations. It had a great smokey taste and great bbq sauce. Fried pickles with ranch...delish! Catfish tacos were delicious. We share a pale ale "Dogs and Frisbees." Highly recommend this restaurant. Staff were awesome! We will be back when in the area.

This place is so homey and family friendly. The nachos are INCREDIBLE. I also enjoyed some blueberry beer once and I am NOT a beer drinker.

    Flight with 4 beers.

Miss the old bbq place but that's on the menu. Very good lunch and comfortable atmosphere. We'll be back!

Ribs were very good and we also liked the fish tacos. We're glad that it started serving food every day.

Food was great. I hate the electronic ordering. The staff was kind about my not wanting to use it. The food and beer were great

    Is High Steel dog friendly?

I don't know for a fact but they are diffidently supporters of dogs. I remember they have a rent a mug program where the five dollars goes towards dog programs and some of their beers are named after dogs.…

We arrived at 11 am on Saturday and the restaurant was extremely busy with only 2 servers. They did a great job taking our orders and getting our food to us quickly. The restaurant seemed like a good mix of locals and people stopping by. Overall, I was hesitant due to some bad reviews but I'm extremely glad I came and the service/food is more aligned with recent reviews.

In doing our research for a breakfast place, we were slightly hesitant because of the rating. I am very glad we decided to try it. The service was friendly and the food was fast. Overall the establishment is clean and felt cared for. I ordered the Blondies Mess with a biscuit. This was certainly what I was hoping for. Crunchy, meaty, fried diner goodness. The biscuit is certainly on par and what one would hope for. My other half got the Chicken Fried Steak, which was great. This also allowed me to try the gravy that they use for the biscuits and gravy, I would certainly consider getting this next time. It is one of my favorite breakfast foods. For the side on the Chicken Fried Steak, he got a pancake, which another way we judge the quality of this kind of establishment. It was good, one of the better ones I have had recently. Not over-whipped and fluffy. Coffee is standard diner fare and they kept it coming as one would expect. I would certainly be interested in trying them for lunch and dinner some time!
