Recently was staying at Little Creek (as I do a couple times a year for darts) and we visited Starlight Lounge on our way out for lunch. It's usually a pretty solid spot but the experience was a little lackluster this time around. We were seated quickly and before the lunch rush which was good timing. However, from ordering onwards everything was a huge wait which was kind of surprising! We ordered our beers and expected them to come out pretty quickly... But then we had to ask for them again when our burgers were brought out. The waitress seemed a little annoyed but usually drinks are brought pretty quickly? Maybe it was just an off day! Burgers were also dropped off without our sides and we got our sides close to ten minutes later. It was our first time trying the burgers here and they didn't blow me away, but it was a good lunch! My husband and I split one and it was just enough food once we got our side. I think it was just an off day because normally we have a good time here. We'll try again next year! read more

I am not sure when the remodel happened but this place looks amazing now! The lounge is a great space for a lot of people. It's open, tons of seating, standing, and bar room for lots of guests. The musicians even have their own spot up above in the lounge also! My friend and I can for lunch and I got the clam chowder which was so flavorful and yummy! I also got the shrimp appetizer for lunch and it was also flavorful with two different sauces! I would definitely recommend this place and the food! read more

Visited with a friend who recommended coming here to grab lunch. It's semi-laidback atmosphere with tables and booths. Our waiter was very nice. We all ordered a Bacon Cheddar burger which comes with fries and my husband ordered the Cobb salad which was huge. The burger was well done (as requested) and the buns with slightly buttery and with a little crisp. The fries were delicious, not greasy and they come in little fryer baskets. The Cobb salad had sliced chicken which was tender and flavorful. The salad was very good as well. Pretty large for one person, but hubby and I shared the salad and burger since the dishes were pretty large for one person. Would definitely return. read more

My sister was visiting from Florida. She stayed at the hotel. We went there for dinner and a drink on a Tuesday. Best fish and chips I've ever had... we went there again the following Monday. They said they were out of fish and chips & were waiting for their "delivery." We waited for it as well. When the fish & chips came to us, I could tell by looks the whole meal was completely different. The fish was greasy and the fries were comparable to frozen fries. So... I do not usually take the time to review ANYTHING unless it is horrible or simply amazing. I figure anyone can have an on or an off day. This doesn't seem to be one of those times and warrants a review... Nay... A WARNING. My wife and our friends decided to venture out to a new spot for the big Seahawk, Niner game. One of our friends had seen Starlight while at the casino before and raved about the large screen and number of TV'S. My wife and I showed up an hour before the game to secure a table for six. Keep in mind we had already inquired about reservations but they do not take them. That is when everything went sideways. The man, please note I intentionally did not say gentleman, behind the counter was extremely short and frankly rude from the jump. He never smiled or showed any personality and was clearly already annoyed with seemingly everyone. It was pretty busy but he eluded he had a table for our party. However he quickly stated everyone had to be there at the time to seat us. I can understand even though with the attitude he was giving it caused some frustration. We were able to get on a wait list and happened to be first with a party of six. My wife and I were able to be seated at a two top while we waited for the others to arrive. He told us "Take that table, now" fairly sternly. At the time I didn't really think it was anything more than urgency. Like.... You better snatch it up while available. However, In the full scope of the night I honestly feel that he was telling us to get out of his face. Again, he never smiled. So... There we sat quietly complaining about the guy when the GENTLEMAN sitting at the table next to us joined in. He had been there for quite some time holding down a table for him and his wife. He described an earlier event when the man had gathered all of the staff together to bark orders at them. He said it wasn't as much of a meeting to organize and plan as it was a declaration of "I'm in charge". He said it was very uncomfortable. The wait staff was a bit overwhelmed but still very nice. We had what I would describe as the floor manager, Denise, finally come over to get our drink order. She was very sweet and a bit frazzled with the atmosphere and lack of organization created by the "man in charge". Our friends arrived and stood around our two top. We watched table after table get filled up by the man at the front. Granted, many of them were technically four tops but there was not even an offer to seat the rest of the group. EVENTUALLY, a booth opened up and several eager parties erupted into action, trying to scramble for claim. A gentleman rushed across the bar hollering, "Is that my both, is that my booth", and proceeded to stake his claim. All the while we were inquiring with Denise who rushed to the front to remind the guy in charge that we were on the waiting list and would like to be seated there with a couple of extra chairs. Amazingly he agreed and kicked the other gentleman and his wife out of the booth and after some protest I believe out of the bar. OH! I forgot to mention that at one point my wife approached the man to mention our observation that he had been seating other people ahead of us. His response was to gesture toward her and state, "If you continue lipping off I will kick you out". I also forgot to mention that when we departed our two top we told the couple next to us that were at a standing only table that we were being seated elsewhere and they should grab our table. Once we were seated we watched the man go over to them and kick them out. He then proceeded to post up a guard on the table so no one else would try to take it. The guard stood at the empty table for around 15 minutes before someone was finally sat at it. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences and if we had been able to relocate before the game started we would gladly have done so. I assure you I will not return even though the wait staff were pleasant and the food was rather tasty. I had two orders of the bacon wrapped jalapenos throughout the game because they were so good. Bottom line... The horrible experience we and others had and the chaos of service was all due to one man. A man who was clearly a narcissist with a need to feel powerful. A man who seemed to find pleasure in barking orders and letting everyone know he was in charge. A man who's attempt at "leadership" created discord and chaos that could have been avoided. That man happened to have his name on the card at the front desk and has the nerve to call himself the "Director of Food and Beverage". That man is Walter Hahn. The tribe would do well to replace Walter or at the very least make sure he is NEVER again placed in a position to interact with their patrons. And with that... I'm out! read more

What could improve? Everything! First time in the food was very poor as was the service. Second time in was for the advertised special of Prime Rib. Prime Rib was unavailable. Asked why but nobody knew. read more

2nd visit in 2 weeks . Last visit 5 stars and most amazing dinner in our 20 years coming. This one was good but not quite the 5 . I believe we had a new server . She was super friendly and attentive so we still tipped 20 %. Ordered Iced Tea got tea no ice . Asked for butter for our veggies it was the cinnamon butter used for biscuits. We ended up throwing away the veggies and mashed potatoes which we also put the butter on. The dishes were all amazing as expected. The fries weren't the same and not as good but it happens. Had late dinner on a non busy night i assume they weren't busy with very few tables occupied. My server was very nice and did do a great job taking care of us. We ordered loaded fries, jalepeno poppers, fried mushrooms, boneless chicken and build your own burger. Everything was delicious and fresh except the boneless chicken wings were not wings. They were more of a popcorn chicken rather than wings. Five were just the batter and the other were huge, but more batter as well. I mentioned it to my server and she was kind enough to take it off because she did agree to the size. To be honest I would not want to pay $13 for 5 popcorn chicken and 4 extra breaded bones less wings. The environment was just gloomy and attic feeling. Cleanliness was one of the star markdown. We decided to give this place a try for a late lunch. We were greeted right away and picked a booth to sit in. We ordered a bowl of clam chowder, two glasses of merlot and nachos to share. The chowder (which was good) and merlots came pretty quickly BUT the nachos took well over 45 minutes! These were horrible! The chips were all soggy and the whole dish was lukewarm except the bowl was hot. We had to dig around to find the chicken. It was bad and certainly NOT worth $16!! We gave up on waiting for our check (which never came) and just walked to the front counter to pay. I don't think we'll visit this eating establishment again. read more

Worst service ever, sat at bar for 15 minutes and never was able to get drinks, wife wanted to move to table so we did waitress was no better, never checked on us and when we wanted something I had to call out to her because she never looked around at any of her tables. We ordered appetizers when we first arrived, took for ever to receive and it was cold. Before we were planning on leaving we ordered another appetizer and pie, well we never received anything or was approached by waitress and after 30 minutes I had to hunt her down and when I asked about our order she said I can bring you your pie and when I said I wanted the pie and appetizer together she said she would have to check on it, after a few minutes she returned and said the appetizer hadn't been started yet because they had to go to the other side of the casino to get more shrimp. I'm not sure where the good reviews come from. The only good thing here is the bloody Marys - and they are just ok. Everything else is, well...terrible. This is the second time we have eaten here.. if you can call it that. I'm a bit shocked that this place has been allowed to operate with such low standards. Ate there two days ago.. worst food ever.. hamburger was dry and overcooked.. fettuccine was gummy and had a horrible taste.. chicken was thin dried up slices.. ribs were overcooked.. they were like powder... Have not been in awhile so we decided to go for dinner. The remodeling that was done is very nice but the service is still terrible. We ordered with only a few tables filled and about 10-15 minutes later it started to get busy. Some tables who arrived a long time after began getting their food. We attempted to flag down our waitress but she continuously ignores us. 3 more tables who showed up 10-15 minutes after us received their food. Finally my wife goes to ask the host what the hold up is and the waitress finally shows up with our food. The waitress then complains because she has 5 tables to wait on. Our food should have arrived before those people sat down or shortly after. The food was cold and the waitress informed us we showed up at a great time before the other tables got full. Then she argued and said that the other tables did not have their food. Which was weird because as she was saying that we were watching them eat their burgers. Terrible service. read more

Ate lunch & dinner and had a few drinks here at the bar during my 3 day trip to Shelton, WA. Food - The menu is a traditional bar menu with Burgers, Nachos, and all of the grilled, fried, greasy goodness that comes with drinking. I had their Nachos & their Burgers, which were both good. The Nachos were enough to feed 2 people and I couldn't finish it...although I gave it a good try. The Burger I had was topped with Avacado, Pepper Jack Cheese, and Tomatoes.....very good burger. Waffle Cut Fries were great too. Drinks - While I was here, I mostly drank the Longhammer IPA, which was on tap and soooo good. The Alaskan Amber was good too, but I kept going back to the IPA. The servers and bartenders here are very friendly and willing to offer their recommendations on food and drink. A+ on the service. Will I return? The next time I'm in Shelton, WA....of course! read more

Sometimes, I get so "busy" at the casino that I forget to review the eating part!! This time I said I would make a point to review the Starlight Lounge because it deserves some love! Keep that in mind, this review is for the Lounge, not the casino. We've been going here a few times a year for years now on our travels to Ocean Shores, Pacific Beach and other coastal treasures. The Starlight Lounge has always provided nice cold beverages for our journey! The service has always been friendly and the beer cold! On this particular visit, we needed some nourishment and decided to eat in the lounge. We seated ourselves, which was easy to do as it was mid-afternoon and the only crowd was at the bar! We wanted to sit at the bar of course because I'm a little over fascinated with slot machines and I wanted to play while we ate but alas, there was no room! We've seen this place packed at night though, when there is live music, so I'm aware it might not always be as relaxed and easy going as it was on this Sunday afternoon! Our server approached right away, bringing us waters and taking our drink orders. She was funny and friendly and very knowledgeable about the bar menu. Sure, that's not a big challenge but I definitely appreciate a server willing to tell me if something is good or not, even if it's bar food! She brought our drinks right back and they were good drinks, not weak by any means! She checked on us throughout the meal, cleared our baskets as each of us was done and generally provided great service. Between the three of us we had a burger, tacos and a sandwich. It took a little longer than it should have (there weren't very many of us in the lounge ordering food) however it was worth the wait - the food was great! The fries are those kind that have little crispy pieces like sticking to them, you know, the real fake ones? I love those fries!! The fish tacos were ginormous for only $5.99 and they were delicious (fried, not grilled). The burger was fresh with plenty of toppings and the sandwich was gobbled up so fast with finger licking at the end I didn't even get to taste it! We will definitely be back to the Starlight Lounge on our travels east and will try those Nacho's, they look amazing!! read more

Potato salad was straight out of a container with rubbery eggs. Don't go hungry but service was fast and friendly. Get there before 10 pm and hit the seafood bar. read more

I have eaten here several times because I am a frequent guest at the casino. The food is OK, standard pub food. The service however is terrible. More often than not there are no servers on the floor. There is s little area around the corner they hide in so nobody asks them to do anything. So if you go here there is a good chance you will need to clear a table yourself and you will absolutely need to go find the menus on your own. read more

I once took a small day-trip to Shelton, WA to pick up a craigslisted bearskin rug, and decided to have lunch and a drink at the Little Creek Casino, across the street from the designated bear rug exchange point. I had never been to Shelton before, and would not have wasted precious drinking time among the lifeless casino denizens had I any idea of what a rich supply of fine, historic old bars the town featured. I paid a tiny amount ($2.25) for an even tinier gin and tonic -- seemingly in one of those micro juice glasses that senior citizens are used to for exotic rarities like orange juice. In fact, as I later discovered, it was Senior Citizens Day at the casino, which probably took the average customer age up several years over the usual 80. And even though it was a lazy weekday afternoon, the casino itself (not the lounge) was packed, though I suspect it emptied considerably just before the O'Reilly Factor. In any case, the town of Shelton is populated with several lovely old bars surviving from the 30s and 40s, when a booming logging industry filled a long string of bars along First Street (and a bowling alley on the river, whose angles would change as the tide came in). So if you ever find yourself in those parts, and you like cookie cutter casino gambling, then by all means check out the Little Creek resort. But if you're interested in a bar with character (and characters), don't make the same mistake I did; instead of wasting precious time and liver space on gawdawful casino bars, head straight for some of the fine old joints in town, like Ernie's Pine Cone, Bob's Tavern, and the Log Cabin. read more

This place is my favorite place to eat and hang out for the evening to have some fun! Friday nights are live band nights and there are a few waiters/waitresses that will go above and beyond to make sure your taken care of. Of course there are always a few we could do without! Lol they have recently made changes to the menu and only serving Mexican food at the time but I'm sure it will change back to being able to order the cheese burger, etc. the one downside I see is always making changes and change is good but why fix what isn't broken? I've seen a lot of customers leave because of this. All in all a great place to check out. read more

We have eaten here on three separate occasions. The first time the food was great and we thought the New Mexican menu was going to be great. The second time we were extremely disappointed. We had chicken wings that were cold and dried out and we also had the nachos that tasted terrible. We complained to the waiter and he gave us a refund for the terrible meal. We thought we would try it one more time because we like to listen to the band. So the third time we only ordered the queso and chips. The waitress brought us a basket of chips and salsa before we got our order of queso and we started to dip ou chips into the salsa when I suddenly felt something hard. It turned out to be a small rectangular piece of plastic. Then the queso came out and it was like a bowl of milk instead of a bowl of cheese. The waitress was really nice and took it back without charging us. I like the music but the cooks in this place are terrible and deserve a grade of D-. read more
