Great food! Good drinks. Very clean and friendly. Excellent fish sandwich, that great with a cold beer.

Stopped by for dinner during our vacation in the area and had a great time. It's an unassuming pub but the food and beer is great and most of all, the service was super friendly and attentive. You can tell it's a neighborhood gem. We ordered calamari fries to share and had a burger each and it went perfectly with the beers on tap. read more

Do not judge a book by its cover. This place is a gem. The food was hot and delicious. We ordered wings x2, pretzel, and fried ravioli. The wings were crispy even with the sauce on them. We all agreed we would drive to Shelton just for the wings! The pretzel was chewy and fluffy just like you want from a bar pretzel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We came in for a Seahawks game on New Year's Eve. We asked about a taxi service. Not only did they give us a recommendation, but the bartender even offered to take us to the casino for our concert! Bathroom situation is a bit odd ( you have to walk outside, but they are warm once you get in), but nice space outside, especially in the summer. 10/10 will be back again. read more

Stopped in here durning a girls night with some friends on 01/09/26, was looking forward to hearing one of my friends sing due to it being karaoke night. However, when my friend went to sign up the karaoke host, Sashia Hopkins, told my friend "You smell like shit, like McDonalds" then assaulted her by spraying her with an unknown substance. Not once was Sashia even concerned that my friend may have been allergic to perfume or worried that she may have caused humiliation to her by saying she "smelled like shit". Once she was informed of this being a form assault Sashia acted erratic and Unprofessional. Telling my group to "fuck off." Also that we, "all smell like shit". The bartender did her best to de-escalate Even with Sashia's adolescent immature behavior. Will not be back, also this place is dirty. If you're never going to clean anything, dim the lights. The demographic that comes to this watering hole is just as nasty as Sashia herself. Avoid at all cost; instead head to Bobs. The staff there are friendly and welcoming. read more

I went with my dad on my birthday, and the place looks pretty similar to other bars I've been too, but because of that, makes the food even that more surprising. I'm talking absolutely blown away by their food. Got fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and a buffalo chicken sandwich. The presentation is immaculate and I'm telling you, I was absolutely blown away by what they got cooking up in the chicken. Extremely good, I'm looking forward to going back. read more

I can't say enough great things about the atmosphere, food and staff!!! Any place can pour you a drink or hand you a cold beer and smile, but being greeted as you walk in, the vibe of the eclectic charm and getting the feeling that both the fellow patrons and employees really enjoy being there is priceless!!! What a hidden Gem! Stopped for a cocktail and stayed for the prime rib! Didn't disappoint. One order was enough for two of us and it was amazing. The service was friendly and fast...did I mention the chocolate chip cookies? Homemade and huge...they brought us back on our way home. I have always loved The Tavern. Their friendly staff, welcoming environment, and tasty dishes are a favorite! Last night, however, the food was subpar. We had an order to go and I had the Prime Rib Dip. There was only a single gray colored slice of beef on the sandwich which would have been less than expected but ok. The problem was the amount of inedible gristle that made up half of the slice I got. I have not seen an actual prime rib with that kind of gristle ever. So disappointing. My son had saved up his hard-earned money so he could bring me a delicious meal for my birthday. Please do better for your customers. read more

Great service and good food, although the meat was a bit salty (I had a burger and my wife had a Philly cheesesteak). Can be a challenge to park but not on our visit. Not much to look at on the outside, so don't just give it a drive-by and leave. read more

Stopped here during a vacation to the area and it was wonderful. Savanna welcomed us like we were family and took excellent care of us. We sat on the patio with our dog where they had a bowl of water for her. Bathrooms were clean. Food was fantastic. Such great food in a totally nondescript location! The street appeal was lacking but we gave it a chance and boy were we surprised! The service was excellent, and I had what was probably the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life! Great burgers, perfect fries, even the coleslaw was perfect! I would definitely go back if I ever get to Shelton again! Don't let the outside fool you, it's a real gem! read more

10:20p.m. and your kitchen is closed and you're advertised as till a eleven. I was told they were the one place in town to still be open for food at this time. If you do not have food at this time of night how can your establishment even legally be still operational and servicing people. read more

The owner is a hard working female business owner. It's a great neighborhood bar with surprisingly great tasting food for such a small kitchen. The Thai wrap, fish and chips, and Philly sandwich are a great! I really haven't had any bad food from their menu. They have a lot going on there too. Karaoke, open mic, and live music fairly frequently. Drinks are average priced and their staff has always been great. Parking can be a little challenging if they are busy. YUM YUM YUMMMMMMMM!!!! We are visiting friends on Lake Nahwatzel and stumbled in here for lunch. I'm so glad we did. The first awesome thing we discovered is how dog-friendly they are. Our pups were welcomed with open arms. They are so dog-friendly, they even have a baggie dispenser and water bowl on their patio. Our server was amazing. I think she was also the bartender, and the fact that she managed everyone was awesome. They had bloody marys on special...they were amazing. Spend the extra $2 to get it with bacon. You won't be sorry! Then the food...OMG THE FOOD! I had a jalapeño burger, and my partner has the chicken cordon bleu sandwich, and they were both amazing. Their fries are to die for. The patio is so cute...nice little picnic tables with a cute backyard atmosphere. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back on our next trip up to Lake Nahwatzel. read more

This place has been around since I was a kid. I'm 76. It's always been funky. We stopped by recently. Had a couple of DELICIOUS Bloody Mary's!! The only complaint I would have is that the place is REALLY dirty!! We sat at the bar and the area under the bar was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed or swept in weeks. The entire floor was really dirty!! Funky is one thing but dirty is unnecessary!! read more

By far one of the best (if not the best) tavern/Pub we've been to for food and drinks! we had our doubts due to the initial look of the outside but we're curious because it was packed on a Wednesday night. Parking and seating was extremely limited. Our server was Britney. Even with a packed house she was friendly and attentive. We ordered appetizers of Portobello fries and The platter. For main course we ordered the Wednesday steak special and Thai Wrap. Everything was AMAZING. Steak was done perfectly and we highly recommend the Thai wrap! I like this place in general. Mostly. Went for steak night. 15 bucks a person. I got a tiny super tough maybe strip steak. I asked for medium rare. It was definitely almost well, and burnt on the outside. Now this was my 3rd time in the cabin. The other 2 times were fine. Even good. Then 15 bucks for a crappy small steak with a potato and a small salad was not even close to worth it. Then there was a cackling moose in there that thought she needed to be the center of attention for the whole bar just added to the night. I may go back but dont know. read more

There was a large table of about 12 and a few other small tables at around 9:30 AM and just one bartender/waitress who was having a difficult time keeping up. Bloody Mary was pretty good. Mimosa was not so good. The omelet with the chili was very good as long as you don't expect homemade chili. Stayed for over 3 hours to watch a game and had a good time. Lots of TVs, music playing off of a TouchTunes juke box, bathrooms are clean but you have to outside to access them. read more

We are trying to support the local businesses, so we tried this place. It was a little busy when we walked in, but our order was taken after a 10-minute wait. After 25 minutes the place was pretty much empty, but still no food. After a 40 minute wait, we asked about our food. 45 minutes into our wait, it arrived and was wrong. We had simply asked they omit the salsa on the potato skin. We left. We went to another local restaurant (not fast food) and had food in 15 minutes. It appeared they only give good service to people they know. We will never go back there again. read more
