This is a tuff one to review. First off giving a review on a roof when its only been a handful of…read moremonths seems too early but ill try. Working with the office manager was a pleasure. Working with the owner was OK. I got 3 bids and Stewart roofing was the lowest but there is a catch that you'll need to consider. Stewart's bid doesn't include Ice and Water shield. It wasnt on the bid as an option either. The others did include it. When i inquired about this i was informed it wasn't necessary. I did some research and 99% of other companies i checked with said its important. Im scratching my head at this point. I had somewhat of a working relationship with Stewart (they did a previous repair which went great) so i took Richard's word cause of his longevity in the career. I asked a lot of questions and they finally gave a cost to do it which i should of accepted but thought it was too high so i didn't. Im a bit concerned about that but only time will tell. The roof seems fine for the most part. Im not an expert. The job went fine with a couple hiccups. I struggled with leaving a review considering my concerns but here i am. Overall my experience was pretty good so im giving a 4 star.

Eric was on time and gave me a very detailed proposal at a fair price. we scheduled adequately and Eric gave me a progress report in the middle of the job (i was not on site so he called me) to explain that he had found some concerning mold while repairing the vents. His crew removed two old concrete slabs, built retaining wall, and poured the driveway in just under 2 weeks. Siki was on-site each day to oversee the work being done, at the end of each day we talked about what was completed and what would be done next. Siki accommodated a small change to give our driveway a waterfall edge over the retaining wall, and it turned out exactly like we expected. After concrete was cured (~21 days after) we were concerned about small cracks, which he came back on-site and confirmed they were just hairline and not structural. We are so happy with the driveway, and wish we found Siki in 2019 when we bought the house.

Good not great. The…read moregood- they were available, arrived on time, finished quickly, roof is water tight, average price. The not so good - facia repair, new sheeting price, no drip edge, poor attention to detail. I called Rite way Roofing to do a small job I had, because I hired them about 15 years ago and had a good experience. Fortunately they had time to do the job when I needed the work done and their price was in the range of other roofers. they showed up on time and got the work done quickly, which says a lot. many contractors are horrible. The job was a tear off, so we had lots of debris. they cleaned up the job site fairly well. a few random pieces of roofing in the bushes that they missed. Poor attention to detail- I had some rotten facia boards that needed to be fixed and I had to tell him I wanted them fixed. I'm not sure what would have happened if I wasn't on the job site. they cut out the bad wood and patched in some new wood. very rough looking. no attention to detail. the patch looks very bad handyman. No drip edge- no drip edge was added on the gutter edge. I would have asked for this "If" the would have asked me if I wanted it. I didn't think about it till after the job was done. now the new sheeting edge is exposed to the weather. not good. 2nd layer of sheeting- I knew I wanted another layer of sheeting installed over the existing and I should have negotiated this up front, but I didn't. he charged me the per sheet price. adding another layer of sheeting is much easier than having to replace rotten sheeting, which is usually what the per sheet price is used for. this is partly my fault, however he wasn't flexible at all when I brought it up. He had another pricing spec for labor and material that would have saved me several hundred dollars. Manufactures Specs- he installed my arch laminate roofing in a way that it hangs off the sheeting and into the gutter by 2 inches. I've never seen this before. I've always seen 1" or so. I read the manufactures specs and it says 1 inch. I mentioned this to him and he said he doesn't read the specs. he would cut if off if I wanted, but when it starts leaking, it would be my fault. this makes cleaning the gutters more difficult. in the future I would go with one of the other roofer I talked with and wait for them to be available. I guess they were busy for a reason.

In the process, he dropped a power tool on my $10,000 Air Conditioning condenser unit. He knew full well that he damaged the unit but didn't even have the decency to tell me that he did it. I only discovered the damage when my AC technician came out to do annual maintenance on my system. I then checked my security cameras and saw the recording in which Owen carelessly dropped a power tool on my unit. It took more than 6 months for Owen to pay me for the repair of the unit. He insisted that I use his contractor when I clearly preferred to use the company that installed and services my AC system. Ultimately, he only paid me half of what my installer charged to repair the damage. This too only after I submitted a fraud claim to the Attorney General, Better Business Bureau and with the State Department of Labour and Industry. This business is run by an unscrupulous scumbag devoid of ethics. Avoid at all cost.

Within a couple of hours they had someone at my house tarping off the questionable section. Sure enough that night we had a wind/rain storm. My attic was dry the next morning. Later that week they came out and replaced flashing, replaced the damaged plywood under the roof, and re-reroofed the damaged section. He even replaced the 25 year old skylight, for just the price of buying the skylight at Home Depot. These guys stand behind their roofs. It's nice knowing that if there's a problem, they've got you covered. Would use them again if I need a roof.
