This place has been here forever. Let me tell you!!! When I was in my teens my dad used to bring me here for ice cream. I always got either the strawberry or strawberry cheesecake. Two weeks ago my parents asked that I bring them here. This was my first time here since the COVID pandemic. First, space is limited, which is a good thing. Only a guest or two at a time and you know not to go in if there's someone in there. Just wait your turn. COVID precautions in place! Sales person was masked and there were plastic draping over the counter space to separate the seller from customers. Donuts. Baked fresh daily! Stopped by here today for some donuts and coffee. I was kind of skeptical to stop by since it seems like any other donut shop. I honestly was doubting it. I seen a lot of people coming in and out. Must be good right? So as I waited to order I observed everything. I always do, specially in food places. They were nice stocked up with product. Donuts looked good and fresh. The lady can be a little impatient while people is ordering but if you make conversation with her she'll definitely go along. I had a chocolate donut and a coconut glazed donut. I also ordered a regular coffee. She suggested her Thai Ice Coffee. Hhhmmmm that's a first! She said that's everyone's favorite to stay awake. Honestly I seen customers just walking in to order the Thai Ice coffee. I told her I'll try it next time. She said if you'd like to stay awake, drink that one. After trying out their donuts I liked them. Nice and fresh. Flavor is original and not commercial. I also seen the baker brining out fresh donuts. I'm assuming they never stop baking new batches. I'm not gonna lie this place is very UNDERRATED it's pretty much the best place to get pastries in Southgate besides Elizabeth's bakery.I've going here since I was like 4 or 5 and I absolutely love this place.The donuts there warm and tasty but they also provide other things like milkshakes and smoothies,breakfast,candy etc and all of is actually pretty good.as for the service it's pretty good it's never busy so the lady who works there(I know her name but I don't want to misspell it)is pretty much working on your order as soon you ask her what you want.She's very nice and caring and very committed to her job.She seems to be very committed to her job because she opens for hours and despite her age and previous injuries she still seems to work very well at her job and is willing to serve anyone.As for the ambiance it's calm it's not loud the only thing it lacks is space it's a very small place that only had like one or two tables but it's better if you just takeout.Either way this place a must go place and anyone would like going there because me and my friends use to go to the middle school next to it and we would sometimes go there after school and my friends started to love that place as well.So that's pretty much it this place is must go and very much a memorable place. read more
