We were lucky to have known Miss Kathy and we always have a positive experience in all of our interaction with her. She is a kind, patient, friendly and caring educator. They have the perfect balance of structure/academics mixed with free play/exploratory learning. The fun and engaging activities has allowed our child to thrive academically and socially. The teachers truly care about how each child progresses and try to get them ready in Kindergarten. I'm sure he'll miss this place after he goes to K this coming fall. The Rainbow Kids Montessori is a great school. Our oldest daughter attended the school last year and quickly improved her english and math skillsets in a short period of time. She also was able to make several new friends and improve her socialization skills. The school prepared our daughter for the transition to kindergarten where she is finding it easy to fit in and continue to develop. Mrs. Kathy and Mrs. K are awesome teachers and give all of attention to the children. They also do a great job with special events throughout the year like the Christmas recital and graduation. A lot of thought goes into all of this and we really appreciate all their efforts. Our second daughter is now attending and gaining all of the same benefits. We plan to send our son in two years when he is ready to attend. I highly recommend the school giving it 5 stars. read more

**Attention Parents*** Long post alert Hi I am writing this post only as a note of caution and to share my bitter experience with a day care. Like every parent, myself and my husband researched for our son's first day care toured about 4 and decided on one ( based on their promises and bcos it's a Montessori) We were so excited on our first day and so was our almost 3 year old. He was so excited with his backpack and high hopes to make new friends and have fun. We dropped him off at about 9.30 after a photo session for his first day (which sounded so nice ) and left the day care. Here comes the twist , in just 20 mins we got a call from Ms.***** ( the owner) that he is screaming, uncontrollable and doesn't move from the door , not ready to watch videos too ( which they said they do only for new kids to soothe ) . I was really worried and said try these videos ( his favorites ) and let me know. Within couple minutes I received call again telling it's so uncontrollable and they want me to pick him up. I rushed to the day care and as they opened the door he ran towards me ready with his jacket and backpack. I was advised he is too young for a day care and don't skip tomorrow because of this. I said for sure I don't want him to keep practicing this. As we reached home and refreshed it kept bugging me what was so bad that they couldn't manage him even for 20 mins? My kid was too cranky and that is where I noticed a mark on his neck. I was curious to know what happened to him and called the day care about 12.40 as they close by 12.30 and she will be free to talk to me. But she kept avoiding my calls and finally picked and the 1st sentence was 'do you want to talk about the same thing ?' With a bad tone. I was so shocked and disappointed as I never mentioned about his wound yet. I just asked her to walk me through what happened and what was so bad he was sent home in 25 mins ? -She said he is too cranky, screaming, banging the door and not moving from door ( I feel this is all common for the first day especially after covid ) she was so angry , frustrated and was not ready to answer me. - She insisted that we take a break and come later and she will refund the money. This is where is sounded doubtful to me - why would a teacher tell my son is not ready handling him for just 20 mins? -The moment I asked about his bruising she said ' you are telling now it's already 2 hours how do I know what happened at home' she was not even bothered to ask where, how bad is it, how is he doing, nothing... - As I kept questioning her how can you decide all this in 20 mins and what do you generally do to soothe kids who are cranky on their first day, she said ' no mommy I am not ready to speak to you give the phone to daddy ' Really???? That was the end of my patience and stopped considering her as a teacher as I cannot speak disrespectfully to a teacher. I doubt they tried to shut his mouth and/or vocal cord to stop him screaming and that when this mark was left. Our daughter has attended Rainbow Kids Montessori for 2 years and it's been a great experience. Ms. Kathy creates a fun learning environment and I'm sometimes shocked at how much my daughter learns day to day! Kids receive delicious and healthy meals and snacks prepared by Ms. Kathy, and we receive picture updates during daily activities or special holiday celebrations which we love getting. We also get feedback on what to work on at home, like the type of curriculum they're focusing on at the moment, and we always see so much progress throughout the year. It's a smaller class size since it's home based which we prefer since kids get more individualized care and attention. They have definitely prepared my daughter for TK socially and academically and I highly recommend them. read more

My Son has been attending Rainbow kids Montessori for almost a year and we are extremely happy & impressed with the school. My son stated learning how to write, read and good manners to follow in/outside school. The school also conducts activities like show & tell, dance, playtime that encourages kids to engage and socialize with others. Ms. Kathy provides periodic feedback about the child which helps us to know where he is up to. The school has friendly staffs who understands the feeling of the child. My 4 years old daughter has been attending Mrs.Kathy's Rainbow kids Montessori since last year and we have been extremely pleased with our experience. When we enrolled, we were new to the community and she made us feel welcome. She and her staff have made every effort to meet my daughter's needs. I have seen so much progress in her academic and social skills since she started. Mrs. Kathy is patient, friendly, loving and caring when it comes to working around the kids. She provides fresh vegetarian food and each kid is assigned tasks during meal times which eventually 'encouraged my daughter participate in chores at home too. She enjoyed every minute of her time spent there. My daughter knows her abcs and numbers, can spell out some of the 3 letter words with the knowledge that she has gained here. Apart from everyday activities, she makes great effort to set up events like holiday party, graduation, etc where kids showcase their talents and have lots of fun. I wish we could stay with her this year too but we are moving to a different area. I would highly recommend Mrs.Kathy to any parents looking for daycare, preschool, after school care options at an instant without a moment's hesitation. Rainbow Kids Montessori is a very good place for young ones, this place will get your kid ready for Kindergarten, when my kid started here he was 4 and half and he didnt even he didn't even know how to hold a pencil, with in 6 months he is able to do small additions now. It is my daughter'a second year attending Rainbow Kids Montessori. She is supposed to be in TK this year, but having seen her progress in her Reading and Math skills, we decided to let her continue coming to this school. Ms. Kathy is good in handling kids, not just in academics but in training them to be independent as well. I am very pleased with the way Ms. Kathy( and her assistant teachers) has trained my daughter to be more confident and more obedient. This school provides nutritious home cooked meals (which Ms. Kathy prepares herself) and I'm so glad that my daughter has learned to love eating veggies, and I never have to feed her for lunch when she gets home since it has already been provided. I never leave reviews because people really hold others experiences too true however, Mrs. Kathy is definitely one of the great things about mountain house. My daughter has been attending her school for 2 going on 3 years now. She started at 2 years old. Which may be early for some children. My daughter was so egar to start school but of course was (as most children are) not happy when I left. But, Mrs Kathy's method of adjustment for the new children are great! Id pick her up and she would be so happy and have so many amazing things to "teach" me that she learned. This honestly was the best decision for my daughter. She has developed so mush from attending Rainbow Kids Montessori. Even after Covid-19 and the return to school, my daughter wanted to stay home and play but once she arrives at school she can't wait to see her friends and learn. read more

I am really happy that my son who is 5 years is going to Rainbow kids Montessori. The best and safest place you can send your kid to. Ms Kathy is one of the best teacher i have seen and i am always thankful to her for putting extra effort during the days when i cant reach on time to pick my son due to bad traffic. Academics , safety , cleanliness, healthy food and extra curricular activities are all given equally importance here. I see a lot of improvements in my kids academics specially math skills. Choosing a right preschool for our little ones is one of the most challenging tasks as Parents.We enrolled our son here last year.We love this little school.This school is incredible. Ms.Kathy was our Son's kindergarten teacher at Rainbow Montessori , Sunnyvale . She is very friendly with Kids and also easy to be approach by Kids/Parents. Ms. Kathy watches all 3 of my children for after school care Monday through Friday. She is absolutely wonderful with them. She helps them with their homework, provides a healthy dinner, allows for outside play, and provides enrichment activities as well. My kids are never bored there. It's awesome for me because I work full time in the Bay Area and I'm exhausted by the time I get back to Mountain House. Ms. Kathy allows for me to pick them up and just hang out when we get home and have actual quality time as a family on a weekday. Ms. Kathy is caring and considerate and my kids and I are lucky to have her. I feel that my kids are in a safe and nurturing environment and she always gives me updates on what's going on. If you can get past her argumentative personality and inability to make appointment with 1 method of communication instead of in person, by text AND by phone then maybe a good school. Talked on monday afternoon and made appointment for tuesday at 6pm. We showed on time with whole family per request and she panicked because she said I was supposed to wait for text confirmation and reset for thursday. Then the crazy starts where she sent text Wednesday which I didnt respond to and calls thursday afternoon to reconfirm appt confirmed made in person 2 days before and to start the backpedaling. I clarified that I want to tour school not just start registering and ideally see class in session first. She says look at staged YouTube videos. When I want to meet other 3 helpers, see ratio and age of other kids for myself and see how a lesson goes for 10 minutes. She goes on and on about policy and safety not being able to do it then turns it into I dont have space, I'll put you on waitlist, I am very busy, lots of parents interested. Complete 180 from 1 spot left and details of day, time, cost and where to send payment. I personally didnt feel the transparency, honesty, organization, outside play safety or warmth I needed in order to enroll my child here. read more

I have so many good things to say about this school and Ms Kathy. My Daughter is 3 years old and she is very comfortable with the family like environment .She actually look forward to go to school every morning. My son has been going to Rainbow Montessori School. He had been with Ms.Kathy (Ms. Kavitha) for last year and honestly, I have seen a tremendous growth in him. He has become very expressive and his attitude towards learning new things has enhanced from curiosity to practice. He has gained a lot academically and learnt a lot of social skills.
