Absolutely love this company! It was super easy to and extremely transparent with pricing and giving an accurate quote. Billy reached out right away to see if any delivery services were needed and to verify the number of items I needed for my son's birthday. I opted to pick up the items and they loaded everything in my car right away everyone was so helpful I would 100% recommend. Plus my mind was blown when I found out that they can do same day rental reservations and delivery! I almost forgot to mention, there is no minimum of chairs to rent out unlike other companies so any amount of chairs could be rented. Billy And his team did a great job setting up our tent, dance floor, bounce and popcorn machine all his equipment was sanitized when we received it and they cleaned up like at the party never happened . We were looking to have a chill and rainbow type of evening. Some chairs, red, tables, orange, hour d'oeuvres l, yellow, bread, green, cheese, blue, chips and salsa, indigo, cinnamon, purple. We have been using Rainbow for our annual event, The Clam Shucking Contest for many, many years. The attention to detail and understanding what we want went seamless. The crew is there to fulfill any requests we have from placement of tents, to tables and chairs. There is someone on site all day in case we need anything. With the threat of rain at an outdoor event, they are equipped with what is needed if the weather should turn. I would not recommend this company. The owner, Billy, will change details that you have previously discussed without giving you any heads up. For instance, when you request the dunk tank and plan for it to be delivered on Friday along with the rest of the tables, chairs, and linens (which had holes and burn marks right out of the bag). He did not confirm drop off time so I called to find out. He proceeded to tell me they were on their way, but the dunk tank wouldn't be delivered until Saturday morning, the day of my party. When I explained that we discussed that it would be delivered Friday, his explanation to me was, "I had the opportunity to rent it to a school Friday. I'm not going to pass up a rental." I then told him he would be losing my dunk tank rental. Thankfully I found another company who would deliver a dunk tank Friday!! I called back to confirm that I was canceling the dunk tank and asked when the tables, chairs and linens were coming since he told me that they were on the way an hour ago. He then told me that they would now be delivered Saturday. After a heat discussion he said he would call me back. He never did so I called him again. The tables, chairs and linens were they dropped off 3 hours later. Who thinks that it's ok to deliver party rentals the day of the party. I've been throwing party's for years, never once have I had such an experience. And my father in law helped a young guy break down everything and bring it to their truck while this man stood around smoking a cigarette! The added stress that this man caused me the day before my daughters birthday party was so unnecessary. His uncaring and unemotional demeanor toward me his customer was unacceptable. Please save yourself the trouble and the hassle. Do not use this company. read more

I just want to thank rainbow party rentals for all the help they gave us in providing rentals for our daughters sweet sixteen. We were able to book them 2 days before the party and even though it was last minute they came through with everything we needed. They brought us extra things we needed the next day and made sure it was convenient for us when they needed to pick everything up. Everyone was polite and so helpful when dropping off, setting up and then picking everything up. We will be absolutely be recommending them to our friends and family and also using them again in the future when we host more parties. read more

Unbelievable, the most professional staff I've ever dealt with prior to and during set up and removal of rental equipment. My backyard party was a success thanks to the staff at Rainbow Party Rentals, the huge 35x45 tent was secured so well that it withstood storm force winds this past weekend. They even called and asked if all was okay and if I wanted them to stop by to reinforce securing the tent and or if I needed any additional equipment. I rented out a sumo wrestling for my husband's 30th and they were very easy going and reliable. I had to cancel at the last minute because of a family emergency and I received my money back. I would definitely recommend using them now and into the future. read more

Awful experience. Throughout the entire planning experience Rainbow Party Rental made zero effort to even try to understand the party we were throwing. Communication was absolutely horrible -- had I not followed up with them multiple times the end result would have been an even bigger disaster than it was. Set up was extremely sloppy -- ruined trees in the backyard, used yellow wires and didn't have enough extension cords to even prove that the lights worked. The dance floor was damaged and the pieces weren't flush with each other, ripe for causing someone to trip (not to mention the men who set up placed the worst piece right where everyone would be walking in, zero sense). The owner then decided to charge me a fee -- without saying anything to me on the phone -- for canceling an additional tent that we had previously agreed would be subject to rain, which was not going to happen. Our coordinator had to hire his friends who own a tent company to come in and fix everything the day after they set up, which took HOURS, and they charged us nothing and took the hit from the charge that Rainbow Party Rentals decided to charge us randomly. Also, we purchased pole covers for a couple hundred dollars, which these guy just left in bags on a table because "they dont install them, just provide them", which is ridiculous and was never disclosed. Again, my coordinator came to the rescue. Just not a good feeling working with these guys AT ALL, the ENTIRE TIME. If you are hosting a legitimate event, not the place to rent from. Note to ownership - if someone recommends you and puts their reputation on the line, have enough respect for them to do a good job. Long Island isn't a big place. read more

Workers are only reason this review gets 1 star. They were kind, efficient, understanding and helpful. Besides that, owner got attitude on phone with me during one of our 4 phone calls. I was given 3 different prices for delivery fee and told they don't accept credit cards but then they told my husband they did the day of the party. Never received invoice/email as promised. Had to supply them with extension cord to use for air pump on inflatable (thank goodness we had) Was not communicated with after initial booking & when I called told 10am drop off. Workers did not arrive until almost 1pm (party was 2-6) was told during party that pick up would be at 7 when we paid $275 for what was supposed to be the day. (Past experiences, the day has meant 24 hours) My husband asked to speak with the owner who said he was coming to our home. Spoke with my husband, my husband told me let each remaining kid (had some family members left) go down slide once more then off. As kids were doing so, owner went over & began removing stakes from ground with kids still in it, including my son (bday boy.) Then went to air pump, I was afraid from his actions he would turn off while some kids still trying to get out, but didn't. Then makes comment that it is pouring in a town 3 towns over and he can't leave out in rain. Which it wasn't nor did it, that night in my yard. Overall, terrible experience. Will not be doing business with or recommending Rainbow in the Islips, at all. read more

I absolutely wouldn't recommend rainbow party rentals unless your hosting a very, very large event where several thousands of dollars are spent as that's where their priorities are. One of their biggest issues, is there is absolutely zero communication from anyone at the company and all of the outreach has to be on your end. The items that you order, pending weather will be delivered but don't anticipate them to let you know when they will schedule a drop off, what exact items in your order will be delivered or a break down time AND their team/staff who assemble your tent, tables, chairs, etc. lack any personable skills. IF YOU DO HAPPEN TO READ THIS, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO WITH ANOTHER LOCAL COMPANY - unfortunately I didn't on the last party I hosted and would never, ever go with Rainbow Party Rentals again. I would much rather pay for all of the items out of my own pocket than deal with them again - unfortunately, I've heard several other bad reviews about this company at my party. read more

The items supplied by Rainbow Party Rentals were as described and what we needed. They were delivered on time the day before our event and there were no issues on the day. Unfortunately the lack of consideration and good customer service shown on the day before and after our wedding has led to the two-star mark down. We didn't receive our invoice until it was sent via email a half hour before our rehearsal which we did not see until arrival at the venue, and the owner then attempted to obtain payment in cash during our rehearsal (even asking us to leave to get to the bank before it closed, though we were surrounded by family and friends and it was the night before New Year's Eve). Understanding that it was only fair to provide swift payment, we offered to make a bank transfer that evening as we live overseas and a cheque would take longer. Even though we provided confirmation that the payment had been submitted, the owner phoned my mother repeatedly from 8am the morning after the wedding (which happened to be a Sunday and New Year's Day) to the point where his number had to be blocked. For quality and price, Rainbow Party Rentals provides a good service. Unfortunately their lack of good customer service lets them down. read more
