I have been going to this place for years with my wife absolutely loved it. Haven't been in a few months went in found out. There's new owners and new people behind the desk. The gentleman behind the desk could not be any ruder. I'm assuming he's the new owner they've raised all the prices. It's now three dollars more on the dock fee. He has the customer service skills of a rabbid badger he definitely does not belong there. This place has gone downhill within a few months. It's so fast it's crazy how fast bad ownership can take down a business. read more

Very very bad. If you want a tent site on a hill you can't drive to, far away from the toilet and shower house then pay 25 cents for two minutes of water in a dirty shower than this is the place for you. This "Resort" looks more like a trailer park for those who cannot afford a trailer house. If you have an RV then this may work. But as a tent camper this place is two thumbs down read more

The showers need a good scrubbing and it won't break the bank to buy new shower heads since they charge for showers. The grounds are crowded with rv's most look like they haven't moved in years so strolling in felt like I was at a trailer park deep in Arkansas. What they call a store is a small section of candy bars and some fishing stuff. And the cafe is then microwaving what you want from the freezer. Has so much potential but they don't seem to care as long as they can pack more of their friends and family rv on the land read more

We booked a covered picnic area and boat for Father's Day and it rained. Unfortunately my client got Covid so I didn't want their staff to get it so we tried to reschedule again. I called and let them know. I explained the situation he said no I can't reschedule again. I already paid it. I understand that you can't keep rescheduling I get that but instead of being professional and saying there's nothing else I can do, he completely hung up on me. The only nice thing I can say is the housekeeper and sometimes she works in the office Lori who was so kind to our family and the staff. It's sad that someone running a business can't be professional, hangs up on the people that are paying them to stay in business, this is a small community and it gets around very fast especially on social media. Sad that I even had to give them a bad review, I really like this place sorry that one person can ruin it by being rude. read more

We wanted to stay at Rainbow RV Resort but was turned away because our RV is over 10 years old. When I asked why, the lady would only say that that's their policy. I asked what is the reasoning behind that policy, she would not answer, saying only that that's their policy. Given how many complaints I've seen about new RV's being reliability disasters, I'll put my 15 year old Winnebago View up against anything less than 10 years old. If it's properly maintained, an RV should last a long time. If you don't take care of it, it doesn't matter what the age is. read more

First trip to Mt Rainier . This was a close RV park we read the reviews and hesitant to stay . Great surprise was a very nice stay.. there are a lot of residents and they rent a portion but we had a great Spot, view of the Lake . Rented a boat and my wife and Son had a great time fishing ! Also the store is perfect has a really good variety and also . Burgers.. Shakes etc. also this place is close to NW trex and about and hours from Paradise .. great 4 days thank you read more

Look at the website and imagine a tranquil Place with views of Mount Rainier and a beautiful doc to fish off of. Picture friendly staff and something akin to a throwback to the golden age of RV Parks. Now shatter that dream and remind yourself that there never was a golden age to RV Parks. This place is a carpet bombed dump. We stayed because we waited too long for reservations at a better campsite nearby. We paid for a tent site - they ended up putting us in a field with a pretty long walk to the single toilet that is accessible for all campers. The staff and nearly every resident there were spewing eff bombs at every spare breath - at least when they weren't chain smoking. The boost from 1 Star to 2 Stars is because a few of the staff members were at least somewhat empathetic to the fact that they know this place is awful and they tried to make experience a bit better. There were at least 20 vehicles that were broken down just sitting there, letting the earth grow around them. Oh and if you have rainier would've been great - except there just wasn't one. You guys may as well put a picture of Mount Everest online. We made the best of it and to look on the bright side, now I get to explain what each four letter word means to my seven and five-year-olds. Explaining why adults were saying them in front of their kids....need a little help with that myself. Here's a simple idea guys: spend a little money and clean this place up, replace the dock, stop swearing, increase your charges by 50% and live up to the vision that your website portrays. The owner is HORRIBLE! I had made reservations to go camping for two nights with a tent and was charged $50 to make the reservation. Well my husband has ended up in critical care and I called to cancel the reservation and she told me she would not refund my money it doesn't matter what the circumstance is. She stated that we had to give eight days notice and that I needed to read the policy page, however I cannot see anywhere on their mobile site a policy page and my reservation had only been made three days ago! I explained this to her and she said "I get this all the time so it's hard for me to tell who's real and who's not" and I said "would you like to speak with the doctor?" and she said "nope." So I said "so what you're telling me is that you don't care that my husband is in critical care? It doesn't matter? You're just going to keep my money?" Her EXACT response was "oh well" How a person could disregard anyone in this matter is beyond me. DO NOT COME HERE!! read more

If I could only give -5 stars this was by far the worst camping experience I have ever had in my entire life and I've been camping my entire life I've been to some shitty parks in my life but this by far was the worst trailer is packed shoulder to shoulder with people who live there year-round I thought this was a campground not a trailer park. Of course I thought that because they advertise as a campground and not a trailer park. The old man there gave me a bunch of shit about Giving him $25 and then completely over exaggerated how many times he had to talk to me about it. Wouldn't let us tire Hamic to the trees couldn't put our bug torches on the fence had a laundry list of rules they handed us after we paid hours after we paid and had already set up. No boat launch you have to go to the other side of the lake. Morning is not included in the price of their camping. The store has old outdated food that they are selling. The only thing nice about the place was the lady at the front desk and the guy who came to get the cart although I understand the older gentleman's frustration for having to come ask me for money when I should have paid before hand it was a total nightmare camping at this establishment. Like I said I would've rather of pulled off of the side of the road and slept in my boat that ever go back here again I will never ever go back to this campsite again they need to say that they have people living here year-round so that you don't have to sit there and wonder if there's an open space. I hope a fucking tornado hits this place!!! read more

I understand the no refund policy, however if your 5th wheel doesn't fit into the spot that they assigned, how is no-refund justified? After 30 minutes of attempting to maneuver into the spot, not to mention scratches from the low-hanging tree branches, we gave up. We did ask for another spot, however they couldn't accommodate us even though there were 2 other spots that we could have backed into. The management would not hear of a refund, just a flat out NO. We didn't use the camp spot because we couldn't use the campspot. This is just another run-down resident-occupied camping facility. Move on unless you have a small RV read more

If you are looking for place to camp and do not want to get the camping experience then this is your place. The staff was friendly at least, but that is where it truly ends. We stayed there for 3 nights in mid May and for the entire time we were there the bathrooms went untouched for cleaning and maintenance. The RV sites were small and barely accommodate your trailer or RV. We have a 25 foot with a slide out and while there was room for it the person to our non camp side was unable to roll out his awning without it running in to our slide out. The site is all gravel, no grass, no fire pit, no room, and no shade. The price was good at $40 per night, but you get what you pay for. As I said the staff was friendly but it seemed like the one who checked us in had no idea what she was doing. We did not have any issues with the hook-ups and everything was in good working order there, it was still all on gravel. Overall it was not a terrible place to stay but i would not recommend it to anyone, nor will I return for a second trip. read more

Good place to take the family in an RV for a holiday weekend. Lake Tanwax is nice and right off the deck. There are several spaces for RVs with full hookups. The staff are friendly and helpful. The onsite store is convenient. You can also get a campfire going on your RV site, which is a huge plus. The spaces are a little on the small side, which could be a problem if you have a big rig. All the spaces require backing in, but nothing too difficult. We'll certainly be back! read more

Worse customer service, we had to cancel the day after we booked because my dads terminal cancer took a bad turn and the owner said he wasn't giving my money back and would re rent the spot, I told him as someone with law experience that us illegal to make a profit that if he relented he would have to give our money back and he said a 10.00 service charge, I asked why he said well we get charged for running your card. Well I know the cost to run cards and its .25 cents for small businesses and .01% for large businesses. He didnt have much to say about that and had the nerve to tell me I better get going to see my father who lives 6 hours away. He had no clue my husband was picking my kids up from school while I was making this call. Well I dont know if they know but I received a full refund because that was illegal for him to rerent the spot and get a double payment. He also had to tell me he has leukemia and prostate cancer? Why he said that I have no clue like he was saying he had cancer and he's ok so my dad should be. He was way out of line and this place I also found out has issues with people getting ripped off. Please dont spend your hard earned money on greedy uncompassionate owners. That is BAD business read more

Myself my son Allen and my brother Wayne, Decided to take advantage of the record warm temps on Sunday the 12th of march. Started fishing on Dave's beautiful big dock, very nice. Was in the late afternoon and started catching large perch straight away. Ended up keeping 4 jumbo perch, several smaller ones released to grow. After that and close to dark we lit in to the catfish. what fun caught them from about 7'' to 17'' most towards the large side. good eats. will be back soon for more of that prespawn bite. I wish I could give zero stars. Their website says they have "tent sites" but what that really means is an area of grass you can put a tent on which includes no shade at all and no separation of individual sites. The "potable" water was actually a random hose nearby. These aren't even the worst parts of it all. What the website doesn't show you is that right next to you and I mean NEXT to you (as in the same area you're in) is a trailer park. Not an "rv resort" as it's called. There are a few spots available you could park an rv if you wanted to. You know, if you like random dogs running everywhere and mobile homes right next to you and loud, obviously drunk residents. No they aren't "customers" they live there. Also the bathrooms look like they were made of random wood and metal pieces all of which weren't ever intended to be used for that. The "stalls" don't have doors they have curtains. Curtains. The curtains aren't even low enough to cover all your bits as you pull your pants up. The essence of this place is misrepresentation. Honestly you'd have better luck camping on the side of the road because at least you'd know you were going to camp on the side of the road. Instead with this place you expect a semi private campsite with a bathroom from this century and what you'd actually get is the location where most of the guest's from The Jerry Springer show originated. read more

I can't begin to explain how impressed I was with this place. I took my 12 y/o nephew because he wanted to fish. I don't know how to fish. When his line got tangled, a resident they call "Big Jim" gave him new line and tackle (his own) so he could continue to fish. The staff were just as friendly. One gentleman gave him a fishing vest and he wore it all the way home. He had the best weekend and it was all because of the friendly staff and residence. We rented a paddle boat and had a blast. They are also very dog friendly. Highly recommend this for a family weekend. read more

Oh, where to start? Driving into the "resort" we ended up turning the wrong way because there were no signs to guide us. Then as we are looking around we're seeing that the place is packed. We had been told that due to it being October, we would practically have the place to ourselves. Most of the sites look like they are taken up by full time residents not people camping. The sites resembled more of a homeless encampment than anything else. We were greeted by a huge dog running around the place although the resort rules state that all pets must be on a leash at all times. We see one site open. It's not the site we had a reservation for. What gives? My husband goes to check us in and he was told they gave our site to someone else so we now get this other site. Perfect...not! The sites are very narrow and short. We have a 20 foot trailer and an SUV and they could barely fit in the site. The nose of the SUV stuck out into the driveway a bit after we were unhooked from the trailer. The main electrical hookup was fried and they had attached a secondary power cable to the box. We had to use our adapter that we use at home in order to hook up. The site had no table or fire pit. Those were only in the common area which was covered in dog poop and dug up by the multiple dogs that roamed the "resort". I also had to clean up dog poop left around the back of our trailer twice. I expect to clean up after my dog but not others. The bathroom had shower curtain "doors" and the toilet was so low I thought I was going to fall. Peeling wallpaper and stained sinks were also highlights of this lovely retro bathroom. This is not a camping resort. We had planned to stay 6 nights but only stayed the weekend because we would rather be home than deal with this. read more
