A minute later the man shouts at me again from across the store, this time I see him and he chastises me first by saying when I first said hello i was trying to tell you the price like I'm some kind of child of his needing to teach me how to be polite. Sorry, you can greet customers all you want, but that doesn't mean they have to greet you back and then when you mention it when all they want to do is shop in peace, it just creates an adversarial situation. So, no, I won't be back. Also, the two workers were loudly talking about how overworked and underpaid they were. They didn't even care if they were overheard! Very unprofessional and gospel music and talking about god on the radio, no thanks.

About a year ago, they did a major reorganization of the store and it's now more open and organized than before. I will admit that you have to search for hidden gems as the items do have the potential to be damaged, but I love scoring those good deals, so it's worth it to me. The staff are always friendly and parking is a breeze since the store is in a plaza with a big lot. They have huge sales and a good texting program that alerts you of sales and sends coupons straight to your phone.

I didn't have enough room in my carry on bag to buy like I wanted to but the clothes were in good shape and they looked brand new! Next time I come to visit, I'll bring an empty suitcase :-) It's important to know that if you buy anything at DFW, all sales are final. There are no refunds, no returns, and no exchanges so you better be sure that you want it before you buy it!

All of a sudden you see a pair of shoes and you just have to have them. I tried to get several sales associates' attention to see if they had them in my size, yet no one seemed to want to help me (hence, docking one star). It may have just been my perception, but the sales associates seemed to be more interested in helping the older customers than me (my attire of yoga pants and a sweatshirt probably didn't exude money). If they were crazy busy, I'd understand- but that didn't seem to be the case. Finally, a younger, sweet employee said she could help me. I wish I remembered her full name, I just remember that it started with an H. Of course, they didn't have any shoes left in my size in the store. She searched online and the surrounding stores, with no luck. Saddened, I figured it just wasn't meant to be. This awesome sales associate then went above and beyond by calling corporate. She said they can search all stores in the country for my size. Cha-ching! A store in Virginia had the last pair in the country in my size. She was able to get them shipped to me free of charge- and allowed me to use my $20 off a purchase of $80 or more coupon! I left an incredibly satisfied customer. I've already worn my shoes twice :).

The dress has not been worn nor tags removed. There was not even an offer for exchange. It was simply "I'm sorry" followed by blank stare. Was the store correct by policy, yes. Was the policy in the best interest of satisfying future returning customers, no. The good news is that there are so many good stores in Kenwood mall that we don't have to go far to make up for the removal of this store from our target shopping locations.

If you're aware of the Beacon Food Mart, it's tucked behind it in a very small strip within a neighborhood. I stopped in with my toddler for the 3rd Birthday Celebration. They had open tie dye, chalk art, a live DJ, food truck and vendors. Although the celebration isn't every day, you can still find most of these activities throughout the week. Open Tie Dye is posted on their Facebook page. $15 if you buy one of their shirts, $10 if you bring your own. You get to choose what design you want and they'll help you fold it. It is then up to you to put your colors on! Once completed, they send your shirt home to set for 24 hours. Follow their instructions and you have a cute new one of a kind shirt! I like that they soak the shirts beforehand in a special mix that opens the pores of the shirt for dye. Thank you for the lesson!!! The ladies helping out are lovely! They also have ready to purchase clothes ranging from baby onesies to adults. Also, draperies, cloths, crocheted items, magnets, body care. It's a small shop with a lot of personality. Definitely worth a trip to the open tie dye days!
