I have a 22 year old Honda lawnmower that was sorely in need of attention. No longer the one pull start darling it had been for years. And for some reason, it kept blowing the air cleaner cover off. I called Mr. Raine and described my issues. He assured me he could fix it. I hopped in my truck and drove up to his home shop in Leander. He greeted me right away and told me you can pick it up later today. Sure enough, he was true to his word. When I arrived, he described what he did to the lawnmower. Replacing the carburetor, sharpening the blades, draining the fuel tank. An overall check up. I cut my grass yesterday. With absolutely no issues. He did recommend that I replace the blade. And of course Amazon had something delivered the next day. Honda makes such a great product and it's rare in this day and age when something can actually be repaired. Mr. Raine is a solid, stand-up guy. True to his word. And he even gave me a guarantee/warranty till the end of the year. Said if anything comes up, just bring it back and we'll get you fixed up. I had previously tried a neighborhood lawn mower repair shop. It was money down the drain. If you have any issues with your lawnmower. Give Mr. Raine a call. He will get you set up. He wouldn't honor my warranty after a few months and lied about telling me not to use regular gas and said I voided it. The warranty said nothing about that and he didn't tell me that anyways. I drove all the way out to Leander before he told me he wouldn't honor it and at that point was stuck paying a ton. read more

Took my lawn mower for an alignment issue. Nash, was a pleasure to meet and while we were analyzing what the issue could be, we found a spring coil out of its socket. Nash said I can fix it myself using some strong pliers. He could have charged me, but being the gentleman he is, he suggested I fix it myself and refused to take any payments for helping find what the problem was. It was exactly the kind of customer experience anybody would want. After first unsuccessfully trying to contact several larger lawnmower repair companies, I expanded my search and found Raine. I read quite a few of the Yelp reviews and came away encouraged. I sent a text to the number on the Yelp page, and Raine did not text back.......he did what anyone running a business should do, he picked up the damn phone and called me within 5-10 minutes. I explained to him the issues I had, and he was able to diagnose the issue and provide an estimate instantly. He was polite and courteous and very easy to talk to. Side note - one business I called didn't have a messaging service set up, so multiple calls went unanswered. Another's mailbox was too full and wasn't answering the calls either. The last I tried has a text message option on their company website. I sent a text Saturday and never got a response. I sent another text yesterday morning as well as calling the number directly (no answer to either). Get this...they finally called me back after I had already dropped off the mower with Raine. Their excuse for the delayed response was b/c they could not get their text/reply message to go through, so they "finally decided to just pick up the phone and give me a call". I couldn't help but laugh. What a novel idea! Calling the customer directly?! Who'da thunk?! Anyway, I asked Raine how quickly he could get the job done, and he told me if I got it to him that day, he would have everything done by the end of the day. Mind you, it was 9:30 when we spoke, so drop off was going to be 10am. I was mildly shocked, but that's exactly what I read in some of the other reviews. He's able to provide same day service. Absolutely fantastic. He ended up doing a full service job for me b/c I felt the price was more than fair. Fuel system rebuild, carb cleaning, fresh gas, blades sharpened, oil changed, fixed the pull crank, and repaired the self-propel that broke years ago. All that for about half (maybe less) than what a new mower will cost you. I was ecstatic. He had the mower ready to go in 2 1/2 hours! At pickup, he repeated everything he completed and even showed me that everything worked, so that there were no nasty disappointments when I got home. He gave me advice on how to keep very basic maintenance (short and long-term) and guarantees his work for 6 months. Any issues whatsoever, just give him a call, and it's done. Duane is the reason Yelp is so successful because it makes it easy to find trustworthy people you can trust! I had an old lawnmower that had been given to me that wasn't working. Duane took a look at it and was very honest in that it probably made more sense to buy a new one than having him fix it as the carburetor needed to be special ordered and replaced. It's rare to find people who are knowledgeable, trustworthy and willing to decline your money if it's not the best option for you so while I didn't have him fix my lawnmower, I'll definitely be coming back to him for other small engine repairs. My good but 1997 Toro mower wouldn't start, wouldn't even fire. Tried a new plug, no luck. So I started my Googling for a lawn mower repair service.
