And for some reason, it kept blowing the air cleaner cover off. I called Mr. Raine and described my issues. He assured me he could fix it. I hopped in my truck and drove up to his home shop in Leander. He greeted me right away and told me you can pick it up later today. Sure enough, he was true to his word. When I arrived, he described what he did to the lawnmower. Replacing the carburetor, sharpening the blades, draining the fuel tank. An overall check up. I cut my grass yesterday. With absolutely no issues. He did recommend that I replace the blade. And of course Amazon had something delivered the next day. Honda makes such a great product and it's rare in this day and age when something can actually be repaired. Mr. Raine is a solid, stand-up guy. True to his word. And he even gave me a guarantee/warranty till the end of the year. Said if anything comes up, just bring it back and we'll get you fixed up. I had previously tried a neighborhood lawn mower repair shop. It was money down the drain. If you have any issues with your lawnmower. Give Mr. Raine a call. He will get you set up. With a smile and a generous, genuine attitude. He's a solid dude.

The warranty said nothing about that and he didn't tell me that anyways. I drove all the way out to Leander before he told me he wouldn't honor it and at that point was stuck paying a ton.

My intent is not to be malicious, but this is 100% my honest review of my experience. If you had a…read moregood experience, awesome, but this was mine. If the owner replies to this review claiming they have no record of working with me, it is a lie. Here is the reality of my four-month, $1,400+ experience with Mowers And More. It started in April with a $210 diagnostic and a $500 PTO clutch replacement that did not solve the issue. They then said I needed a wiring harness. What followed was a frustrating series of delayed appointments. I was incredibly patient and accommodating through all of this, including reschedules for when the owner was hospitalized, and another time when they had to reschedule and couldn't show up because it was very hot that day and they got overheated at their earlier jobs. When they finally showed up weeks later, they realized they forgot to order the necessary PTO switch. They hadn't checked their inventory and blamed an 'AI ordering system' instead of taking accountability. Worse, during the install, they actually blew a solenoid, leaving my mower completely dead and unable to even crank. They had to make another trip just to fix the solenoid they broke. Literally before this entire ordeal, my mower cranked up just fine. Sitting idle for months waiting for their delayed repairs is more than likely what contributed to the fuel issues, not the 'wrong gas' that the owner later tried to claim. During that visit, they drained the fuel system, put on a new filter, and got it running on starting fluid just long enough to claim the PTO worked. They told me my carburetor was 'gross' and that I needed a new one. At this point, I was completely fed up. I told them I would just handle the fuel system myself because I wanted them gone. I never intended to not pay them. However, I clearly communicated that I wanted to get the mower running first so I could personally verify their electrical work. I couldn't just take their word for it. Instead of being understanding, he claimed, 'We did the work you hired us for,' and demanded the $720 final payment for a machine that still wouldn't stay running. I held my ground and refused to pay until I knew the machine worked. I am not a professional mechanic, but I took over, put on a new fuel pump, cleaned my old carburetor (I didn't even need the new one they claimed I did), replaced a single fuel line to the tank, and boom, it fired right up and cut the front yard perfectly. Only after I got it running myself did I go ahead and pay the invoice in full even though I feel like I shouldn't have, just to wash my hands of them and close the account for good. The owner likes to brag that they just won a local repair award. When confronted about this terrible service, he made excuses about how hard the parts supply chain is right now and claimed I 'have no idea' what it is like to run a "repair" business. It is incredibly ironic, especially when my entire career has been building companies in Home Services and Tech. The reality of running any business is that backend logistical issues happen, but it is your job as an owner to manage that chaos so the customer doesn't feel it. Save your time and money and find a true professional.

I would not recommend this business. They charged a fortune and did not fix the mower. The mower…read morenever ran properly after their work. During the first mow after they "fixed" it, it ran very, very rough. On subsequent attempts, the mower continually died and I was not able to cut my lawn. I also bought a hard case for the chainsaw, and the price was surprisingly good. It wasn't in stock but they ordered it for me to pick up the next day, and here we are. After three weeks they finally said it had a scratched cylinder and needed a short block. The kid at the counter had a phone conversation with the mechanic who was 50 feet away, refused to let me talk to the mechanic , and told me that they could not fix it. Actually, what he said was they would not fix it. I believe they just figured on selling another expensive saw. Turns out when I took it to an individaul mechanic, the diaphram was old and hard. Carburetor rebuild like I told them in the first place was all it took, cost me $25, cost them a longtime customer and valuable reference. I walked in to pick up an item that they called me and told me it is ready. I walk in and a guy had just jumped out of his truck right before me so unfortunately he gets to be first, the guy at the counter says I'll be with you while he's working with someone else, because of smartphones yes I can let the 8 minutes, the 9 minutes past and then I look down and realize I am at 10 minutes plus. Now they didn't say anything to me during that time, like hey another minute. So I left and I will come back and pick up my chainsaw but this is ridiculous. Here's what you got to do when it comes to customer service if you guys really care about your Google and your Yelp review rating, if the customer you are helping has taken 10 minutes and you think that it is going to take longer, address me and find out what it is that I need perhaps mine will take 30 seconds, take the $18 that I owe you, give me my chainsaw and get me out of there. Focusing in on just the one customer in front of you allows this review, allows my situation to happen. I did hear other people in the back and the guy at front at a minimum should have called for help. I've worked across different industries and customer service has been included in that I can tell you if you told a customer who saw me waiting for 10 minutes behind them, give me a couple seconds to get this guy out of here and then we will finish with you especially since it looks like yours may take another 10 or 15 minutes. That did not happen, no I don't want to talk to a manager you guys don't have to try to reach out to me after the fact, you already know that your Yelp rating is a one star I'm pretty sure you should work to improve that and this kind of thing would not happen.
