I finally found MG Premier, who exceeded my expectations (as well as the condo owners). Josh understood the idea that I imagined and perfected it. He used his expertise to design and fabricate a unique and custom angle aluminum channel to address my many requirements. Josh even added further details to create a seamless appearance, thereby not distracting from the view. This was a frustrating and slow process since I was dealing with an inefficient condo board. MG Premier understood my situation and were always available to assist in any way. Even after they installed the angle channel, Josh returned to complete details, of which I had not thought of or even felt necessary. Whoa, Jon did amazing work! He makes SUPER strong deck! Two huge cedars fell on the deck Jon…read morebuilt. They were tall enough to hit the roof, but they hit the trellis instead, in 2 spots. In the first spot, the trellis held, and the tip of the tree, which would've shattered windows, snapped off and landed on the deck. In the second spot, it knocked down one of the trellist board and smashed through one panel of the railing. It hit the roof, but again, the strength of the deck protected the house. Jon was alble to do the repairs quickly and for a low price. I added new photos from the tree damage, and a final couple photos from when we repainted the house. The deck looks AMAZING!!

I followed up the call with another txt indicating I didn't need their services and they immediately replied "OK." Perhaps the job wasn't big enough? I have no idea, however the complete lack of response is, in my opinion, disrespectful and I cannot recommend them. If don't you want the job, just say it. Don't leave customers hanging.

Paul…read moredid a great job walking us through our options, and took the lead on a number of design points that wouldn't have occurred to us, or which we thought would have been cost-prohibitive. He was competitively priced with other contractors we considered -- indeed, less expensive than some -- while offering additional details in the work we probably couldn't have gotten from another team, at least not easily. His personal attention to detail, something we've found all too often lacking in the construction industry, was very much appreciated. The only thing I could offer as an area they could have improved on is timeliness. The work was completed much later than Paul had promised; installation of the railings held up our final inspection, enough that we had to pay for another year of building permit, and delayed our move-in by a couple of months. That said, the end result was worth the wait, and by engaging the company on the project earlier in the process, a delay like that should not have much impact, if any. As the well-known triangle goes, we got "quality" and "price", so it was not too surprising that "on time" got the short end of the stick. And for us, that was a fine trade-off to make, all said and done. We have a few more "finish" details that using a metal installation is an option, and while we haven't made our final decision, most likely Contessa is going to get the call to fabricate the pieces for those details as well. We're looking forward to working with them again.
