I found Seattle Roofing Company through Yelp while dealing with a roof leak at my rental property…read morein Seattle, and the reviews were absolutely right. After multiple contractors gave me inconsistent or overpriced quotes, connecting with Stephen was a breath of fresh air. His quick response and professionalism immediately put me at ease. He sent a team to the property the same day to assess the issue and provided a clear report that evening. Even better, he had a coordinated crew ready to handle everything--from the roof repair to the interior ceiling work. Within the same week, two teams were on-site, and the entire job was completed in just two days. His crew also made sure everything was clean after the job was done. My tenant was extremely happy with how efficient and seamless the process was. I also had a last‑minute request to check the smoke alarms, and despite managing the property from the East Coast, Stephen made sure it was taken care of right away. Seattle Roofing Company truly delivered. I highly recommend them and will continue using their services. Thank you to Stephen and his team!

I'm not sure why this company deserves 5 stars…read more They installed a new roof on my house in November 2025. In March 2026, I found a piece of shingle on the ground. The owner of Seattle Roofing came out and confirmed that it had come from my roof. He flew a drone to inspect the roof but said he couldn't find where it came from. Then on June 18, 2026, I noticed something else that didn't look right on the roof. I contacted the company, and a technician came out and fixed one issue, but he left without any explanation or even letting me know he was finished. Using my phone's zoom feature, I could still see an area of the roof that didn't look right. I asked the company to have the technician come back. Unfortunately, I received rude responses from Steven. He always spoke as if the problem was somehow my fault. I had to follow up several times and remind him that the rainy season was approaching, but nothing happened. This was only the second time Seattle Roofing had to send someone out to my house since installing the roof. If the job had been done correctly the first time, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Eventually, I received a response saying that the technician had determined the area was fine. I sent Steven an updated photo and asked whether the exposed section of the roof looked acceptable to him. I never received a response. You can decide for yourself by looking at the photos and determining whether you would want to hire a company that treats customers this way after they've already been paid. I spent a lot of money on this roof for the peace of mind that it would protect my home. Instead, I'm left worrying about potential issues, trying to find someone else to correct what appears to be their mistake, and still have not received any explanation as to why the exposed section of the roof is considered acceptable. Customer service and communication after the sale have been extremely disappointing.

We wanted two custom metal gates fabricated. These people gave us an estimate, and when we decided…read moreto go forward and contacted them to do the job they first said they will call back but for about 3 months they never called When I decided to call, they then said they were busy but will put us on their calendar. But then another 3 months go by, NOTHING! So I phoned again then they asked for a copy of the original job proposal, emailed to them, then we never heard from them for months again. So I called again and again about once a week, so far no one answers the phone calls from me. They probably don't want to do the job, who knows what the reasons might be??? Just very un-responsive and unreliable. A total waste of time.

Contessa Metalworks handled railings for our custom home. They were a pleasure to work with. Paul…read moredid a great job walking us through our options, and took the lead on a number of design points that wouldn't have occurred to us, or which we thought would have been cost-prohibitive. He was competitively priced with other contractors we considered -- indeed, less expensive than some -- while offering additional details in the work we probably couldn't have gotten from another team, at least not easily. His personal attention to detail, something we've found all too often lacking in the construction industry, was very much appreciated. The only thing I could offer as an area they could have improved on is timeliness. The work was completed much later than Paul had promised; installation of the railings held up our final inspection, enough that we had to pay for another year of building permit, and delayed our move-in by a couple of months. That said, the end result was worth the wait, and by engaging the company on the project earlier in the process, a delay like that should not have much impact, if any. As the well-known triangle goes, we got "quality" and "price", so it was not too surprising that "on time" got the short end of the stick. And for us, that was a fine trade-off to make, all said and done. We have a few more "finish" details that using a metal installation is an option, and while we haven't made our final decision, most likely Contessa is going to get the call to fabricate the pieces for those details as well. We're looking forward to working with them again.
