I've had a number of plumbing jobs done by them, their work is first rate. The technicians are…read moreknowledgeable and polite. The reason I didn't give them five stars is not based on the quality of their work, but on the billing. My bills were often several times more than expected. Some of that is normal--one finds unexpected issues in an older house. My frustration was due to the office. Trying to get details from the office people, about either parts or hours, was like pulling teeth. They hated answering questions, often misunderstanding and overreacting to even a simply enquiry. In terms of parts: if they have to go to Home Depot and get parts, you will be paying for their time to get the parts. That's fine. But from what I could find out, there was also a serious upcharge on those same parts. This may in fact be industry standard, but to me, it seems like double dipping. I would expect to pay an upcharge for parts they keep in stock, but then, I'm not paying for the person's time acquiring the parts. Here, I was paying for both. (I'd recommend going with them to the hardware store and just paying for the parts yourself. The price different is significant.) In terms of time: Hours billed always considerably longer than I expected. Some of that is disposal, etc. But there was a time when the person left before completing a minor task. I had to call him back. It took some time before he returned. I was curious to know: Since this was the technician's mistake, did I pay for all that extra travel time? I never found out. I asked, not for the total hours, but for the times that made up those hours (clearly, you'd need to know the time frames in order to count the time?). Never got an answer. The regular office person refused to answer and finally passed me to her supervisor, who sent me a form email and then never responded to the actual question. Bottom line? If you want the job done well and don't care about details or cost, they're a great choice. I don't see myself calling them again.

I requested an estimate to put an outdoor floodlight onto the front of my porch. The men who came were professional and fast when getting the work done. My only complaint is that while they were working, they had to install a temporary outlet onto the line to use their heating machine so they could heat and bend the conduit. I thought that was nice to have an outdoor electric outlet, and it would have taken *more time* for them to remove it than to just leave it on and continue forward. My complaint is that they charged me $77 dollars for a half hour of "work" when it actually *saved* them time to leave the outlet on, as is, and the lady in the office would not hear what I said anyway, since the electrician himself said it would just be the parts charge, which was around $44, which is stupid for an outdoor outlet but whatever! So? Always go with what is in your bid, because if you step outside that they will make up mythical charges for "time" that was actually SAVED by leaving the equipment in! Crooked practice, if you ask me! Charge me to save your men time! BS!
