We have been with Raintree Healthcare for 10 years. My kids started with Dr. Smith, who was great. Then we had Dr. Cook, who was also great. My frustration is with the adult side. We have been seeing Dr. Ho since the adult side opened. We were never overly happy, but also not overly unhappy, so we stayed. However, in a great time of need, she refused to see my husband. He had been in a car accident and when he was released from the hospital, she would not see him. This left us without anyone to oversee his care. Then when I tried to get his medical records that we had forwarded to his PCP (before we knew she wouldn't see him), they wanted to charge a lot of money. So, just be wary that if you want a PCP that will see you in your time of need, Dr. Ho is not the one. It took several months to get a new patient visit at a different PCP. Our new PCP was shocked that she would refuse to see him. Good news is that our new PCP is really good and thorough in overseeing my husband's care. read more

Real people answer the phone! Nurses call back fairly quickly. We always get a sick appointment the same day. We really appreciate that they are open on Saturday's. Doctors/ PA's take their time with you. Beautiful state of the art facility and polite compassionate staff. read more

We have been to Raintree a few times and we have had billing errors in the past- where they said I didn't pay but I went back and was able to show proof I did pay. We recently took my son in and waited 45 minutes to see Dr Euri Cook. We had 15 minutes with the doctor. Basically a well visit that was not coded as such but very well coded that our 15 minutes turned into a 212. Bill. We will not be returning based on the poor experience we have had on several occasions. read more

**UPDATE from 1 star to 4 stars** Dr. Miller and the nurses have turned this review around for me. They called and personally apologized for the front desk's behavior. I have had 2 separate appointments and multiple phone calls with the nurses since this past incident. I really do love the back staff at this practice. I hope the front will continue to grow and improve. This may be the hardest review I have written. I own a medical practice so I completely understand what reviews can do to a practice. I am hoping this review will open the eyes of Dr. Cook and the other providers. First off I want to say the doctors are AMAZING. We LOVE Dr. Miller, Dr. Cook and Michelle PA. The providers are top notch. Unfortunately, the front office team is destroying this office. They are completely unprofessional. About a week prior to my son's prescription running out I began calling the office. Dr. Miller and I had spoken that we would be increasing his dosage, so I was unable to request a refill from the pharmacy. This medication is a daily medication that cannot be stopped cold-turkey. I called, left multiple messages, and even called the on-call nurse over the weekend- no response, zero, zilch, nada. On Monday I called the office three times. I basically begged the front desk to let the nurse know my situation, "sorry ma'am, I am only a scheduler, I can't help you, I can only pass on the messages". It's Tuesday at 3:22PM, still no response. Luckily Walgreens gave me three loaner pills to hold us over until we can do our tele-visit with Dr. Miller. I hope Dr. Cook sees this review and makes some drastic changes with his practice. If changes don't happen, I can assume this practice will fail, which would truly be a shame. read more

This facility and doctors are racist. They refused to treat my mother who did not speak English. My mom can understand enough English to get by a physical but they refused to give her a chance because of her accent and because she was not fluent. I work in healthcare and it is shocking to me that they do not offer interpreting services. I have never heard of a facility refusing to treat a patient because of a language barrier. 0/5 Stars. The Dr.s here are good. However, the front office needs work. With incompetence that runs wild. I pay out of pocket hundred every time I take my kids here, and it never fails every time I show up I owe a balance. This time it was $12.96, granted I paid $175 at the time of the last appointment. Insurance didn't pay $12.96 of the $65.00 that was left (McKinney teachers insurance sucks, whole different review). They needed their $12.96 before we could be seen. Really??? Not to mention I paid off a $600+ balance last year due t billing issues on their part. Dr.s good, front office staff less than desirable to be the first people you see. Secondly, found out today that the Dr., Dr. Michelle didn't even send off my daughters specimen they collected, but felt the need to charge me for the visit. read more

I second Katie M's review and am so glad we found RainTree. We heard about RainTree from one of the doctors in my OB/GYN's office. He uses RainTree for his baby too and this spoke volumes to us. We went to interview another Pediatrician a neighbor recommended and then went to RainTree's "open house." Within 10 minutes, we were certain they would be our Pediatricians. We regularly see Michelle and love her! Dr Cook and Dr Chad are also wonderful! They are all very warm, knowledgeable and we are never rushed. It can be tough to get an appointment with the two doctors and sometimes there are long waits but for my little one it is well worth it. read more

Once you get in they are pretty good but they consistently book appointments WAY too close together and of course as a result the wait is horrendous. It's not uncommon to finally see a doctor an hour after your appointment time. The place feels almost like an acute care center the wait is so bad. The only problem is that if we switch, we'll most likely find the same issue elsewhere. But to be totally fair, once we get in, they are pretty nice and have done a good job for our kids. read more

Wound up switching from Raintree. First few times were great, but then we started seeing Michelle and things went south. One of my biggest pet peeves is someone literally not even pretending to remember you after seeing you and your child 2 days prior!!! At least read the chart before you come in the room and act like you remember us. But nope, like it was a whole new day and she had never seen us before. The reason I made the switch was, they had tested my son for the flu. They told me to go ahead and leave and they would call me in 15 minutes (this was at the end of the day) with the results. I waited my 15 minutes... I actually gave them 20 minutes... well surprise! The office was then closed! So if I wanted to get the results I was going to have to pay $25 to speak to a nurse or doctor to get the results. I was LIVID!!!! So I waited all night with a sick child.... Called back first thing in the morning.... left a message for the nurse... got a call back FINALLY at 11am, with the nurse stating "I thought about you after I left and realized I never called you with the results." Done, never again... that is ridiculous. read more

Dr. Cook is amazing! He is the Pediatrician you want for your child because he is so thorough. I love that he takes the time with my children to get to what is the problem and asks lots of questions to make sure he didn't miss anything. My daughter and I have been coming here for a year and in the past it had been pretty good. But not yesterday. Yesterday, I went in for a visit with my 2 year old who has had a cold on and off for 3-4 weeks for a 11:45 appt. we waited in the waiting area for 35min and when I went to the front desk to see how much longer the wait would be, she said she checked us in but she'll call the back to ask them. Only then did a nurse come out to get us and triaged. Once we were brought back we had to wait another 30 min and I got frustrated for waiting overall an hour at this point with a sick toddler, went to the nurses desk and asked, "Is the Dr at lunch?" And the nurses say he's running behind. So another 15min later the Dr comes in, who actually is very nice and the only reason I am leaving 2 stars instead of 1, spends a good 15 min with us and says he will get our prescriptions to the pharmacy. I confirmed with the Dr that we will be using Walmart pharmacy with the change in BCBS. He confirmed. At check out I paid the copay and verified again with the front staff that the prescriptions are being sent to Walmart pharmacy. I left the premises almost 2 hours later for a 15min visit. So the next day after work, I go to pick up the prescriptions to find out it had never been called in. I call Raintree at 5:04pm and was forwarded to their after hours call center. I tell the operator what has happened and that I just needed the prescription called in, then she tells me there's a $25 charge to call the nurse. I get upset and tell her I will deal with the charge later and ask for the nurse to be called. I confirm with the operator when to expect a call back since I didn't want to sit at Walmart pharmacy more than necessary and she says "10-15 minutes". 15 minutes go by and no call. I call back and a different operator answers the call and I ask him to cancel the call back from the nurse because I don't want to waste any more of my time. Now. I am also a healthcare professional and I know we can run behind, but it's common courtesy to update the waiting patient and give a time frame. I also have my front staff call in prescriptions multiple times per day, and of course sometimes things can get overlooked, but we don't charge patients for our mistakes. I am very very disappointed with the lack of professionalism at this facility. read more

I have been going to Raintree Healthcare for over 5 years. It use to be a decent pediatric office when I start going there, with two doctors, a very professional nurse practitioners, and an amazing stuffs! However, over the years, they have become one of the worst place you take your kids for treatment! So many stuff, you never feel welcome or familiar with the front desk since they are changing every time you are going! Unless you demand it, you will never get to see the doctor that you sign up for! Always seems rushing to get you out of there! Although we were covered by insurance from a work place and pretty updated on our bill, today, when I took my child for an urgent sick visit, one of their stuff told me that I have a balance to take care of from last April. When I said send the bill to my house, he said "I did and you didn't pay and you must pay before you see the doctor! I couldn't believe his rudeness and I said to him " I didn't see any bill from this office, I came for my sick daughter we need to review the bill before we pay so you need to resend it". Well, he said " this is not a free clinic every one must pay their bill". I know there are plenty of decent pediatric offices in my area and I have been checking them out because I was very dissatisfy with Raintree quite for a while! We've been with Raintree since they were in their old Allen location when my daughter was first born. She's almost 13 now! Even though we have moved to Wylie, we still use and trust Raintree for both of our kiddos and refer them to anyone in the area....they are kind people who do a fantastic job with my girls, I love them!! read more

I've been taking my son to Raintree for 6 months now. We've seen every pediatrician and nurse practitioner in their practice. Michele is awesome! She is very thorough, asks lots of questions and doesn't rush us out. My biggest complaints about Raintree is that they don't file claims with secondary insurance. Primary only. If I want the claims to be filed with our secondary insurance, I have to do it myself. It would take a few clicks of a mouse for them to do, whereas I have to print out a claim form, fill out a bunch of paperwork, mail in the claim, and call the insurance company several times to follow up. And if the claims haven't been paid by the time we're in for another appointment (and they usually aren't) I'm told that I have a balance on our account. Frustrating! If Raintree wants to be paid in a timely manner, they should consider revising this stupid rule. Furthermore, I've called Raintree three times to pay the balance on our account and I cannot get anyone to call me back. I've left two messages and spoke with someone the third time who said she would look over our account and give me a call back. Still no returned call after a month. I've never had such a hard time giving someone my money. The doctors at Raintree are great. If we go elsewhere, it will be because of the staff. read more

We have only been at Raintree 3 years. It was ok but very hard to see the actual doctors. We are choosing to move to a new practice as the doctor we came for is moving. When I called to have records transferred I was told it would be 25.00 per child. This is crazy to me as our old and new doctors did not and do not charge if the information was transferred directly to the new practices. This is a policy they started after hearing one of the doctors is leaving. I was told by the practice manager they would go under if they had to do records for free all the time. Then he proceeded to tell me that 25.00 is reasonable per the states guidelines. Be careful. They change policies all the time to financially benefit themselves. So glad we are leaving. read more

Dr. Cook and Dr. Chad are easily the best pediatricians in the area. We have been taking our kids to Raintree and the experience has always been exceptional. The doctors are very thorough and patient while discussing with us. They also have a way to deal with tantrum throwing kids. Wait time could be more than 30 minutes at times but that is the case everywhere. read more

My children are attended to by Michelle, she is awesome. I had to jump through hoops to get records, I emailed on Fri, called on Mon and I was told they are short staffed. They don't have a problem billing my ins. but they have a problem giving me my medical records. Asked about the portal, couldn't get help with that either. After calling on Tues and still couldn't get help, I had to yell, then I got my records. Poor Alondra got the wrath of some other lazy associate who didn't help. read more

We have been at Raintree for 8 years. We have had mixed results with care from the doctors and nurse practitioners over the years, but that is to be expected. Last year we discovered that our son that is now 5 has a issue that should have been caught within his first year. Now we have no options to fix the issue. Even after going to Dr. Cook and asking him last year about the issue he said it wasn't an issue. We took him to a specialist and the specialist said it was an issue. Now I get a bill in the mail for $75 for 3 visits spanning back to 2015 on of which is a wellness visit. I contact Raintree and about 14 days later get a reply that one of the $25 charges has been removed. Now they say that we owe for 2 co pays. We pay our co pays every time we go except wellness visits (which i had to remind them last wellness visit that we shouldn't pay). We are now moving on to find a new doctor. read more

Dr. Wilson does an excellent job with our children. We appreciate her care and attention to detail. To go along with her M.D. she also has a Ph.D. which keeps her on the cutting edge of medical research and best practices. The facility is top notch and you feel very welcomed. read more

The doctors in Raintree are really good and experienced. My bad experience is with the front desk people. This is the second time their electronic prescription transfer failed. And not one staff called to have me come and pick up. I waited for a couple of hours and called them only to find out that their system is down and it's only then they want me come over to pick up. I don't know if I'm ever going back again! And if I do, it's for the good doctors. Will just get it printed, no thanks to their prescription transfer. read more

My son is 4 months old and we have been coming here ever since he has been born. I am a first time mom, so of course I have a lot of questions and concerns. Each time I took my son here, I got the impression that my questions and my son were not important. I have tried to give this office a chance, because the location was convenient for my husband and I, but these past few weeks have been the last straw. I tried calling for 3 days in a row to get my sons prescription refill. No answer. Finally on the 4th day I managed to get ahold of the nurse and she did call the prescription in, but miserably FAILED to answer any of my questions! Then proceeded to tell me that Dr. Cook gets "backed up at times". So, what your telling me is, that his patients are not a priority? The entire nurse and front desk staff is unknowledgeable and rude. I am taking my son elsewhere and never coming back. read more

I met Dr. Cook when I had my baby in the hospital and knew I wanted him to be my infant care provider. Once meeting his staff I knew I made the right decision. I never feel rushed, or made to feel stupid because I think something is going on and I just want to get my Austin checked out to ease my own head. We have been going to Raintree Healthcare for over 6 years since our first born, of course because of Dr. Cook. the staff has been increasingly unprofessional and careless. We still went, till they finally drew the lkast straw. I nade an appointment for a sick child. my appointmnent was at 4 PM. at 4:45 I asked where is my appointment and answer was rude and unprofessional...We are over booked for Holiday (do people get sick more on holiday) no apology nothing and advised me to reschedule. my answer was do you want me to rescheule a sick child? again very unprofessional and careless person said it is my choice. I asked to talk to office manager who could not say a word. so I said, I am taking my business some where else. I am done. ETIRE FRON DESK STAFF is rude and unprofessional. My husband and I chose Raintree for our daughter and we have been SO pleased with them. All of the staff know us now and they are always greet us by our name. We had great experiences with the NP/PA's we saw there. However, I can not say the same for Dr. Cook. I scheduled my 7 year old son's yearly physical with him, and HIGHLY REGRET IT. When my son became uncomfortable with the exam (My son was asked to take off his shirt and stand in front of the doctor), my son became embarressed and started to cry. Dr. Cook responded by saying "Are you going to act like a little baby or act your age". And then belittled him in a similar manner for the next few minutes before I asked him to skip that part of the exam. I am a NP myself and have NEVER felt the need to speak to anyone so poorly. I decided right then and there to change offices. And when I called to ask for our records changed the office recepotionist said" I doubt he'll be too concerned since he owns the practice". Then they charged me incorrectly (twice) and when I called to question the incorrect bill the lady was extremly rude and hung up on me. Needless to say the bill was finally corrected after I had my insurance rep call them back and I have switched offices. After asking for references from neighbors since I am new to the area I found that a lot of patients had similar experiences and have switched. Being an NP and a MOM I could never recommend this practice to anyone. read more
