As a homeowner, if you need this service, things are *bad*. The uncertainty of how to move forward…read moreand make things safe again -without financial ruin - can be overwhelming. The Kingdom Builders came highly recommended by two neighbors who had already worked with them, so we added them to our "Estimates" file. There was something different about this company, and we were inclined to know more about what their plan would be, other recommendations and timeline. The salesman, Derek, is highly professional and thorough, and helped with everything incl. insurance guidance, etc. Since the issue was not an 'Act of God' according to insurance standards, they would not cover repairs. [Failing/collapsing stucco]. To say TKB went above and beyond to orchestrate repairs is a gross understatement. Their professionalism (all of them), support, timeline, immaculate job site, care for grandma's peonies :0) everything was far above expectations. I cannot stop bragging about them! For such a catastrophic situation with our home, we can now rejoice in rain and snow, in a home that looks brand new. Read their background and mission statement. We can attest - they mean what they say. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

He arrived for scheduled appointment completed his inspection of our roof and spoke briefly with my husband. He indicated that he was going to provide a written estimate. If you have had siding installed from Elk River Exteriors beware. You may have been told there is…read morea warranty on it. They do not warranty due to their faulty installation. This is a complaint for siding issue that I filed with the installer July 28th of 2022 for what are called nail pops on my siding. They are visible on three sides of the house. East, West, and South. No nail pops on the North side of the house. When I contacted the installer, they told me that I needed to file a warranty claim against the maker of the siding. (I also sent Elk River exterior photos of the siding.) Elk River Exterior claimed it was a problem with the siding. So I filled out a warranty form and sent pictures to the manufacturer (PLY GEM). Also the owner of Elk River Exterior came and took pictures of the problem and sent to Ply Gem. After much time of going back and forth with the manufacture (Ply Gem) and the Installer (Elk River Exteriors), the manufacture of the siding (Ply Gem) finally sent a Technical Service Representative to inspect the siding in April. His response to the (Nail Pops) was found to be the direct result of improper installation techniques or practices. Some of the discrepancies noted but not limited to include *Nailing at end of nail slots *Nails protruding * Nails from nail hem causing heat buildup/water retention between the panel and fastener. * Nailed to tight, nails at opposite ends of nails, and /or panels that were not given proper clearance to expand as temperatures varied. Ply Gem encouraged us to contact the company that installed siding. But Elk River Exteriors still insist that it is a manufacturing issue with the siding and as of June 19th, 2023 I received a voicemail from the Owner of Elk River Exterior that they will not be correcting the issue.

In October 2025, I hired Minnesota Roofing Company to repair a small roof leak we were experiencing…read morethat summer during heavy windy rain storms. During the repair, we also requested removal of an unused chimney. The company additionally informed us that our home had mixed ventilation, which we have had since 2009, and advised that this needed correction to improve overall ventilation. Their correction to our ventilation was to remove our existing ridge vent and add plywood to cover an existing box vent, leaving only two working box vents. The company missed the original scheduled installation, date, and debris from the project was left on our lawn for three days until I contacted them to request removal. No permit was pulled for the work. Following the project, our attic, began accumulating, significant moisture, ice, and mold. When I asked them to correct this in early December they instructed me to install baffling as their work would be costly to bring things 'up to code.' The city has since inspected the work and informed us that a permit should've been obtained, that the chimney removal lacks required structural support, and that the chimney chase was not properly insulated or capped. According to the city, these deficiencies directly contributed to the moisture and mold issues. The city also noted that ventilation removed during the project needs to be restored to meet Minnesota State building code R806. Despite bringing these concerns to Minnesota roofing company, neither the CEO nor the project manager has addressed or taken responsibility for the issues we have not experienced in the 17 years we have been in this house until this company "repaired" our roof. We are now left with extensive damage and require corrective repairs.
