They have a very limited selection of liquor but there is liquor there. They have a cocktail menu, again. It's kind of limited, but they can pretty much make whatever you need. But the show the spotlight is going to be on the wine selections. Wish they had plenty of them. I was picking out a wine to try and she definitely helped and gave good advice and led me in a good direction. She was awesome. Now they have a wine club. This wine club is pretty good, so I may consider trying it. I'm already part of wine club elsewhere, but this one might be a little bit different. For the wine club you pay a price and you get about four bottles of wine, but you also get to do all of the tastings as well. You get the good a membership discount if you bring people in to dine-in as well. There's a lot that goes into it. There should be a picture of it in my review so check that out. Oddly enough, they also have trips that they go on for people who want to visit different wine venues. It's really surprising because that isn't a small thing to take group trips to some random part to sample wine. I was grateful to have a wedding planner who handled most of the contact with them. I'm a people person, and I can tell you, you won't get the warm fuzzies from this crowd. Food is handled by their catering company, which is technically separate, but Founders provides the beverages- sort of a strange dichotomy- and they don't really have a great selection in terms of wine and beer. They are also slightly higher on those items than most other comparable venues. For planning and customer service I give them two stars. I would like to point out that the servers were excellent and very friendly to our guests, but they were provided through the catering company that did the food. We also enjoyed working with the caterer to plan our menus, but again, she works at the catering company rather than for Founders Hall itself.

First, let me be clear about one thing. The drinks themselves were good and the bartenders were fast. Our issue is not with the quality of the cocktails. Our issue is with the lack of transparency beforehand and the inaccurate statements made afterward in response to our review. In the owner's response she stated that she was not aware of our request for mocktails until after booking. That is not correct. We have text messages clearly showing that mocktails were discussed prior to the event. After the agreement was made, we were later told that mocktails would require an additional fee. Although we were ultimately not charged, we were told to purchase additional juices and supplies that ended up being unnecessary. We still have the receipts for those items. She also stated that the spill was caused by a leaking sink at the bar. This is another inaccurate statement. The bar that we rented for the event did not even have a sink. The spill occurred at the bar and the cleanup was done using napkins that we purchased for food service. When the bartenders left, those wet napkins were left stuffed underneath the bar and on the floor. We have photos that clearly show this. Another point mentioned in the response was attire. Our event had an all black dress theme, which was communicated in advance. We have text messages showing that the colors for the baby shower were shared before the event. Despite this, the bartenders arrived wearing pink shirts. Again, the drinks were good and service was fast. But when a business publicly responds to feedback with statements that are not accurate, that becomes a bigger issue than the original concerns. Accountability and honest communication go a long way with clients. We hosted a very special baby shower and simply expected professionalism and transparency throughout the process. Unfortunately, based on our experience and the response we received afterward, we cannot recommend this company.

But once we started working with Leigh Vaughan from Saratoga Events, we KNEW we'd made the right choice. The House, with its adjoining deck and enclosed historic Pavilion, were perfect for having the ceremony and reception in one location, and the convenience of working with Saratoga Events and Avenue Catering made planning a snap.
