I had an electrical fire in my garage that completely blew out my electrical panel; it was a miracle the whole house didn't burn to the ground and that no one was killed. The fire dept had to shut down ALL ELECTRIC and GENERAC GENERATOR power to the house because of the on-going hazard. I had no power or water for over three weeks; it was HOT AND MISERABLE. My neighbor kindly let me run an electric cord from his house so I could at least keep my fridge and freezer working, but no AC, no lights, no water for 3 1/2 weeks. I had to flush toilets by siphoning water from the pool. And that is how I bathed. I was worried my dogs were going to have heat stroke; I was buying tons of ice and water to keep in their bowls to cool them down. Things were very primitive. The electric/generator company I had dealt with for years were unfortunately NOT responsive in my time of need and just told me they didn't have an electrician available, AND it took them 4-5 days to tell me that while Iso sat in heat and sweat, WAITING FOR THEM TO RESPOND TO ME AND MY CONSTANT CALLS. My neighbor recommended RAJ Electric who did exemplary work for him, by installing a new electric panel for him. I immediately contacted RAJ Electric and my initial contact was with Sylvia who was so genuinely concerned and empathetic to my predicament. Their schedule was FULL another few weeks, but within a few HOURS Johnathan (chief electrician) was at my house and by that afternoon I had an invoice that I could present to my homeowner's insurance so the repair work could proceed. Work began as quickly as possible in that Nicholas (another master electrician who normally deals with the generator department) overheard my conversation with Sylvia and took the initiative to consider my situation emergent and took it upon himself to get the team going in my direction. The men who came to my home were just incredible! ! So efficient and professional, so very helpful, so kind, and did a spectacular job of totally reconstructing my panel. It turned out the fire damage was a lot more than what was originally thought, knocking out FPL's wiring and my Generac generator as well. They got my generator working which was fantastic!!! Wonderful to be able to wash clothes, flush toilets and take a shower and have AC!!!!! Then they completed the rest of the electric work which was extensive to say the least. It was a MEMORABLE EVENT!!! Now all is well and all is replaced and running perfectly. I feel like I have a new family with RAJ electric as they will be taking over maintenance of my generator as well now. I will NEVER FORGET THEIR KINDNESS AND DILIGENCE IN HELPING ME GET MY HOME BACK IN ORDER. God bless to all: Sylvia who NEVER let me down, was always in my corner, always communicating with me, making a million phone calls to get the proper inspectors here, a real wizard. I am SO GRATEFUL TO YOU SYLVIA. To Nicholas, who is my FIRST hero for taking charge when Johnathan became ill and could not, a true Marine Military Man!! I am so grateful to you for helping me, a total stranger in need. To Aurelio who WORKED SO HARD in the HEAT from early morning to late at night getting the panel put back together, and never even stopped to eat lunch. To Kevin, Niko, Mitchell, Robert. you guys are extraordinary. I am in your debt. And to my to other HERO, Johnathan who picked up where Nicholas left off (after recovering from his illness) and saw this complex, extensive task completed to perfection. I am teary eyed as I write this review, remembering how very awful and miserable I was, and how wonderful you all were to me. I am so blessed to have you all in my Universe. Be on alert. RAJ was sent to us through a Costco generator purchase and installation. Costco requires a 12 page contract documenting the work and there are several places for the homeowner to initial and sign. After work was completed by RAJ, the balance was paid in full...or so I thought. Costco sent us the 'rebate' which equated to approximately 1%. Costco closed out the order and the warranty was issued. A month or so later, RAJ Electric sent an additional 2 page document (unsigned by me) for an additional amount of nearly $4K. Remember...the other 12 page document had many initials and signatures. I told RAJ that I did not recognize the unsigned 'contract' and would not pay it. I requested many times for a signed (by me) copy which they could not produce. I involved Costo and their vendor relations department. I was told by Costco that the 12 page contract was all they knew about which was why they issued the rebate and closed out the order. RAJ not only threatened but DID file a lien against our home due to this additional document that I (as the homeowner) never signed nor agreed to pay. The 2 page document outlines some of the same things that are on the 12 page document. RAJ is wanting us to pay double (and then some) for the same supplies and materials. So here we are in the middle of legal action because RAJ is trying to collect monies for an additional contract that was never signed. Costco is not happy. Homeowner is not happy. I never write bad reviews BUT before you hire RAJ please read reviews... I paid and ordered a generator the end of April. I am totally aware of the back log in getting generators but.... its now September 20, 2021 and I am just informed that my generator will be installed December 6th. They came on 9/17 and did the wiring and added a electrical box but RAJ had told me that this was to be my install date so I assumed generator and concrete slab at that time. Did not hear about the December date until today 9/20. I have friends that ordered a month ago and have already had theirs installed by Reliable Power Systems. Same generator as I am getting. RAJ is the worst with communication and customer service. I wish I had not been trying to help out a local Jupiter company. Bis Mistake. read more

I hired RAJ for a generator service contract. The initial visit was excellent, however, the 2nd visit was anything but. The electrician who was out used loose copper wires to wire around a fuse. Sold me a battery that he installed without even testing to see if the system works. When I called the office after I realized some time later it wasnt doing its power cycle, the office said the tech reported that there was no transfer switch installed. This is ridiculous because the switch is located next to the breaker in the garage and the first tech who was out obviously found it. Never received a call or a follow up until I figured out the generator wasnt working. read more

I paid $6000 in advance to have a generator installed. After 4 months it was installed, but not operational. RAJ sent 3 separate techs out and they could still not seem to figure out what was wrong or when it would be operational. I called Generac who said that I could get warranty service from any dealer so I called Como Oil and they agreed to come out and take a look in just a few days. Here is what they found: Bad Battery Battery Charger not connected Relay panel fuses blown Generator not set up to run on LPG Bad control panel Como fixed everything and had the generator running in 30 minutes. The only reason that I called RAJ in the first place was that their sticker was on my panel from a prior owner. Its not there anymore and I will/would never call them again. RAJ is joke. read more

They installed my replacement generator. They hooked up the power to the wrong parts of my house. Took them six months to come and supposedly fix it. Power went off recently , the power is still to the wrong parts of house. I have been calling for weeks. They say we will call you back today and they never do. They say the manager is out of the office. Worst service I have ever had read more

Unfortunately, I wasn't at home at the time to go over the work they did and my poor wife knows less than I do. I had them install a transfer switch for my generator. They didn't ask which receptacle I needed nor did they actually test the switch at all and I'll explain what I mean by that below. When I called them on the wrong receptacle they told me to find an adapter. Ok, that's partly on me I should have stipulated but a little more help would have been nice, perhaps they could have asked rather than simply assuming. After quite a bit of research, I found the right adapter. The adapter I needed was the following: L14-30P 30-Amp 4 Prong Locking Plug to CS6364 50-Amp Locking Female Perhaps that will help someone in the future... When Irma hit I soon realized that the metal plate in the electrical panel (the one that makes certain the main is off before the generator is engaged) wouldn't let me engage the breaker from the switch, the plate was too big and didn't provide enough clearance. I had to remove the cover from the panel and remove the plate to turn on the breaker. Sometimes it's the little things that make customers feel like you care at all... seriously... take five minutes, check your work... If I knew electrical or felt safe doing it myself I wouldn't have called to begin with. So they weren't horrible by any means, the lady in the office is extremely nice. I'll be going with someone else the next time though. read more

I agreed to purchase a generator from RAJ Electric via their kiosk at Costco. At that time (April 2021), I was guaranteed installation by the end of June 2021. My deposit was paid at the end of May 2021. Despite the previous guarantee, the generator was installed, but not connected to gas, until July 30. Gas was not connected until 8/11, at which time the balance owed was paid. The information I received at the initial meeting, stated I would earn a 10% Costco Shop Card for the generator purchase cost. When I didn't receive the Shop Card, I called Costco and was told the Shop Card was to be issued by RAJ Electric. I contacted RAJ Electric and was informed that since I replaced an existing generator, of which I had informed them in the initial conversation (since I paid them to remove), my purchase didn't "qualify" for the 10% Shop Card. I guess that "minor" detail was overlooked by them when taking my order and my money. I have had several conversations with Costco with no success there either. I definitely will not recommend RAJ Electric to anyone. I also will never purchase a product or service through a Costco kiosk. read more

They have a new receptionist who sounds a little sleepy. I asked several questions she could not answer and appeared not to care. I wanted to replace 5 smoke detectors in the house a.s.a.p. (one is beeping continuously but it's just time for an upgrade) and she couldn't answer whether they have a call-out fee or if they gave free estimates. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or someone who may know more, she left me holding for over 5 minutes, then came on the line a little argumentative saying no one was available. It's a shame when this happens to good business people; obviously there is a good business owner here but perhaps they may see a downturn in repeat business with this type of front person. For starters, I have been in building for several decades. From my experiences with RAJ, I believe RAJ is arguably the least professional and most inept sub-contractor I have ever attempted to worked with. On my first attempt to have RAJ do work, they never showed up, and they never contacted me to notify me that they would not be arriving., RAJ blew me off on a Friday, on Monday, the following workday, I called RAJ and spoke to Robin, one of the owners. Robin gave excuses about an employee being out, or something; however, she was very apologetic. Why RAJ? RAJ was a Costco generator recommendation, I considered having RAJ install a whole house generator. So, after the blow-off, and speaking to Robin, I gave RAJ a "second" chance. When RAJ workers did arrive, to do the outdoor electrical, two unskilled workers showed up at my house. I told them I had an issue with the timer on the outside lights and I told them that the front lights on the outside are not working. The workers had no idea how to repair or diagnose the trouble with the outside lighting timer. So, they told me they could arrange to get me an estimate to (have someone else) diagnose what I had hired them to diagnose. Next, I was told, the front outside lighting was repaired, they did change an allegedly faulty GFI outlet. I did see some lights working; and, I was told one of the lighting fixtures was inoperable. Therefore, aside from what they could not figure out, I was told the job was completed. I also had a painter working, (also by the hour w no time restrictions) and I had a tile estimator waiting to speak with me. So, for the time they worked, I foolishly paid RAJ. However, the work was so poor, when I arrived at my house, later that night, I realized almost half of the lights that the RAJ guys were supposed to have repaired, did not work. The next day, when I called to enlighten them of the situation, they did not take responsibly for the poor work. Further, the workers (I'm not sure if they were licensed electricians) were so focused on doing as little work as possible, they were not even thorough enough to point the lights toward the trees. Honestly, they wanted extra money for anything and everything possible, including $42 to change each bulb. And, extra money if I chose to have them bury the low voltage wires in the ground. I was paying them by the half-hour. All they were concerned about was charging on top of charging. No, I did not have them change any bulbs. You would think they would at least reconfigure the lights not pointed in the correct direction. I was paying them by the half-hour, I have no idea why they would know they were expected to do a thorough and professional job. Keep in mind, like the painter, I gave them no time restriction. I expect jobs to be done once and be done thoroughly and professionally. Lastly, I was actually giving them a third/fourth chance....During my conversation with Robin (the owner) about getting blown off for the outdoor electrical appointment, I also told her I had been having trouble getting anyone from the generator division to return my calls and texts, I had questions in regard to their generator estimate. Again, I was trying RAJ on a recommendation from Costco. Needless to say, I will share a copy of all of my phone and text attempts with Costco. Finally, I did ask the receptionist to refund my money, until the job was professionally and satisfactorily completed, .... she said it was up to the owner.... Of course, I never heard back. read more

HORRIBLE service of long standing, good customers!!! I called two weeks ago to schedule an appointment. We needed LED can lighting installed in our media room which we have had done by RAJ several times in the past year. I told them I did not need an estimate, just needed them to come out and install. The day before the scheduled appointment, they called to confirm. I again shared that I did not want an estimate. Just wanted to confirm that the work would be done and received confirmation that they would have it completed. This morning the technician arrives at my house and said he "had a full schedule" and was just there to do an estimate. We have spent thousands of dollars with this company and have used them exclusively since moving to the area. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!! read more

The electricity went out in our home this past Saturday while we were out of town. The generator started up immediately and sent a message to my phone that it was running. Although FPL later advised that the problem was fixed, my generator continued to run. Although their answering service was not working Sunday, I was able to track down the owner and phoned him Sunday afternoon to tell him I did not know if there was still a FPL problem or the generator failed to turn off. Without specifically requesting immediate service (because FPL was going to come back out) RAJ Electric had someone come to the house Sunday early evening and check out the problem. The service tech, Jordan phoned me after arriving and advised that there indeed was still a power outage and everything was OK with my generator. Thirty-six hours after the power went out FPL finally restored power to my home and the generator shut off. The attentiveness to MY problem by RAJ Electric is not often found in Florida contractors. Although I purchased the generator from another company about five years ago, I switched to RAJ last summer and have been extremely pleased with their service. Highly recommended. read more
