So, my generator installation was finalized on December 18, 2024 after hurricane season was over. What I thought would be a 2 week project took months even though I did not need a permit, HOA approval, or any other roadblocks as this was a replacement project. I am still calling Rack Electric daily as they never repaired the drywall that they took out inside my garage as part of the generator install. They promised to repair it and have yet to do so. With this cold snap I am worried that rodents can get inside my wall as the insulation is exposed. I would not recommend Rack as they definitely do not have your back. They have internal communication problems that need to be resolved before their company functions smoothly. read more

If you have any problems as I am having with 1 stop generator installation ,this company could have burned my house down. Installed 125amp& 200amp service on( 1) 200a service. They had to rip it all out and start over again. When we decided to put a generator at a second location, after seeing 3 vendors, we decided to go with One Stop as they were the only company that had the equipment for the tank dig, in the back yard, that was small enough to fit through two gates without tearing down a section of the fence. We needed service for our older Briggs and Stratton Generator (propane) which we inherited with our house. After a year of going strong, we had some issues. We had two local electricians out. (One even replaced the battery and charged us $300 and we still had issues.) In steps 1 Stop and technician Ervis Koci! He did an awesome job getting the generator going strong in case we have a storm. He also went over everything he did while servicing as well as the startup procedure (since I have manual switch). They are now our NEW service provider for our generator and I wish we called them first. When this vendor came to our home to maintain a 2 year old generator, they sold us a new battery to be used in the unit. We asked to have the old battery left with us but the technician said there would be a $45 charge to do so. We paid for the battery when we purchased the generator and should have been given the $45 that the vendor will get when they return same to their battery vendor. So far as I am concerned this is improper business practice equivalent to a civil wrong. . Additionally, when I called to complain, the woman speaking with me on the phone wished me a good day and hung up on me while I was in the middle of speaking. read more

I had them come out and give me a quote, which was a little higher then some of the others I got, but based on their reputation I wanted to pay for the best. They were quick to cash my deposit check and set up an appointment date. The day of the appointment they called to tell me the parts didn't come in and we had to reschedule. Ok, it happens. Next appointment date (which I took off work for) they called me in the morning to tell me they ordered the wrong part. For the third appointment I got a call the day before this time, telling me that the now correct part hasn't came in yet. Finally, it's the fourth appointment and their techs come out. They were very nice and professional, I will give them that. I was told they would have to install it differently then they originally thought from the estimate and it may cost more money. I told them that was fine, again I don't mine paying for the job to be done correctly, just tell me what you are doing and how much it will cost me before you do the work. They call the office to discuss the changes and get me a new estimate. I am told that they are going to replace two of my breakers and will honor the original estimate, since I had a lot of trouble scheduling my appointment. I thanked them and they continued with the install. Once the installation was complete they showed me the work they did, gave me a demonstration, and handed me the invoice showing what I owe. At this point I confirmed again that the number on the invoice is all I owe (they confirmed this) and I wrote a check for this exact number. I was left a very satisfied customer. A week later I get an email from 1stop saying I am late on my payment, and an attached is an invoice I have NEVER seen before showing that I owe $642.00 and the due date was the day before. I call 1stop to figure out if this is correct and have to leave a voicemail, but no one calls back. I send an email asking them to call me back to clarify what is going on. The next day I get a call Heather, she confirms the debt and says they are going to put a mechanics lien on my house if I don't pay. I explain my side of the story and she says she will look into it and promises to call me back. Later that day I get the bill emailed to me again, but this time with the taxes taken off. I wait for a call but get nothing. At this point I am so sick of dealing with them, and so worried they are going to put a lien against my house I just pay them. I never would have thought a company with this reputation would give me a quote, miss my appointment 3 different times, confirm what I owe and take my money for the work, then later change their minds with NO explanation, and extort me for more money under the threat of putting lien on my house. I wouldn't have minded paying the extra money if I was told about it in the beginning, but I do not like a company that doesn't stand by their word and and attempts to extort their customers. Stay Away. We had them install our generator. And while everything was good to start, it became clear quickly they were interested in a quick buck and not providing proper service. We even bought a service contract. But they did not come out and service the generator in a timely manner. After Irma and gas fumes came into the house they did not any responsibility. 'Up to code' was their only response. No offer to fix their crappy install. There are better companies to do business with. We spent close to $14,000. We got ripped off! I have never seen worst service and lack of professionalism. I just built a house and have all kind of problems with the builder, but nothing compared to the problems I have had with this company. I paid the first installment back in March 2020 and today, September 27, I still do not have the inspection, by the City, approved. They damaged all the landscape next to the place the generator was located. I've been all the hurricane season not knowing if the generator is operative. They claimed it was and when a technician came to the house I asked him to cut the electricity to verify it was operative. It was NOT. Needless to say that, at this time, I already paid 90% of the generator and still not have the permit and have a very annoying problem with the ovens caused by their lousy installation. read more

They made a complicated project paint-by-numbers with clear communications every step of the way and an accurate budget that they came under. I was given a full roster of contact names at the start and had different players come in as needed for each stage. We contracted with 1 Stop for a 22Kw whole house generator. Everyone at 1 Stop has been extremely professional from Sales to Installation and post install. When we submitted the 1 Stop document package to our HOA they said they had never see such a complete package and we were approved immediately. The installation went very smoothly and our power was out far less time during the install than was originally estimated, which was greatly appreciated. The install site was left very neat and we passed inspection on the first pass. There was one glitch after a couple of weeks (Generac issue not 1 Stop). 1 Stop took care of the problem immediately and resolved the issue. I am glad we have the 10 year warranty as 1 Stop will be providing the service under the warranty. Great peace of mind! Everyone we've encountered at 1 Stop has a great customer service attitude. I researched several companies to do an install of a Tesla Wall charger and many gave me the run around. 1 Stop Generator shop was extremely honest and gave me an honest quote. I accepted their quote and they put me on their schedule in a reasonable amount of time. The install was extremely professional, Adam and an associate did a great job. They had to cut some drywall to do the install and let me know in advance. When complete, they carefully patched my wall, and even offered to come back after the wall dried so they could sand and make the texture perfect. Now I'm charging my Tesla really fast due to the 100a breaker they installed, as well as optimizing the settings of the Tesla charger (which I have no idea how to do). If I decide to install a gas generator, I will definitely call 1 Stop Generator shop, they've done several generator installs on my street, and the neighbors I spoke with are extremely happy with the job they did. read more

I would NEVER do business with these guys again! Their owner, Jon Andio lied to my face about how he did business and then screamed at me on the phone today. I paid them over $18K for a backup generator in May, 2015 - it wasn't installed and operational until September 22, 2015!! I heard lots of stories from this guy about why, but the real reason is that I paid him up front as he asked. They took forever to return calls and despite getting told UP FRONT by the county that they had placed the generator a few inches in the wrong spot and would have to move it - they ignored the big red lettered stamp on the permit and then didn't tell anyone. The owner claims that his wife/daughter/assistant/person in his office who gets blamed didn't tell him while he was out of town. That doesn't explain how he could take over 90 days to finish this job!! Rather than walk me through the unit and the web setup, as he promised, he simply threw the manual with handwritten prices for the warranty on my backyard grill counter. Then I didn't hear from him for another week. I finally reached him today, and he started screaming at me - this guy is NOT A PROFESSIONAL. He's upset because I PAID HIM $18K and want what I was promised. They finally came to do the walk through yesterday and the installer, Jared, pointed out that a switch was turned off and that there was NO WAY it could be even been tested previously. I'm very concerned that they won't be able or willing to honor their 1 year service warranty. read more

I purchase a 22kw generator about a month ago. We picked it up and had our contractor install it. First problem is we had to go out and buy a battery. Why they don't include a $100 battery in a $4700 generator is a mystery. It worked for about 1 month and now will not start.
