After signing a few papers, her RN Tia came out and took us back to a room. Tia was amazing and super nice!! She got everything going and kept us informed on what was next and approximate wait times. Her quality of care for my wife was 10/10!! Once they took her back for the surgery I received a phone call from Dr. Vande Ven approximately 55 minutes later and she said everything went great. 30 minutes later I received another phone call from Tia who took me back to see my wife. Tia assisted me in placing her in a wheelchair and gave me home care instructions prior to leaving. Today's experience was great and all staff were great. His office is in Southern California but he goes to Bakersfield once a month and that is where we saw him. Very friendly and yet professional at the same time. My grandson was nervous, as you can imagine, but Dr Ghodsian put him at ease immediately. He asks questions and gives answers. He diagnosed my grandson in one visit and set him up on a routine to improve his quality of life. The answers he gave us hit the nail on the head, and we were so relieved that there is no more procedures or surgeries involved. We walked out of the building with smiles on our faces. If the doctor was a general practitioner I would hook up with him immediately. Loved him and HIGHLY recommend you go see him first with your "butt" problems. We could've saved ourselves a lot of time, money and pain if we had just gone to see Dr. Ghodsian first. Oh! And his staff are wonderful, they work with you and make this process easy, answer all your questions without making you feel like you are just another number on a chart.

We were welcomed and registered by Elisha who took care of all my paperwork no problems. I was called back after a short wait to Pre.Opp. I was met by Marilee, she explained what was next, provided me with a gown took my vitals, inserted my I V (no pain) Marilee made me comfortable. I then met Paige my OR nurse all the staff here are professional lots of teamwork. Paige was Joined by Dr. Scurlock my anesthesiologist, we went over my sedation and recovery. Dr.Schlamblin came in asked if I was ready, marked my my shoulder. There was no rush the entire staff was very accommodating answered all my questions I was ready. 2 hours later, I opened my eyes and met Linda my recovery nurse. My nurse was professional and pleasant. She took my vitals, we reviewed all my medication's before Dr Irani came in. A smiling Dr Irani came in, we shook hands. I haven't seen him in a year he puts you at ease with his presence. I explained the reason for my visit and my concerns, after an examination he decided a minor surgery would be required, he said it would be a 5 minute procedure. I felt relieved, I was in good hands. I met with Maria to set up my surgery date she provided me with all the information and instructions. Maria was excellent. My visit lasted about 40 minutes and I was out the door. All of Dr Irani's staff at BSA is friendly and professional.

Lastly a family friend had the sleeve with Dr Irani and has lost over 115lbs. In total I believe we are currently close to 500lbs lost and my revision and my mothers surgery will push us up to over 600lbs.
