Great experience- very chill staff, easy going- and gives you tools to use if needed (Screwdriver…read morefor plates for example) Puts lots of trust in customers so it's equally deserved. Doesn't spam you with messages or updates like others. Plus they have personal pets at the shop such as dogs which is a plus if you're an animal lover. Overall great service- makes you feel positive even if you're at your lowest dealing with a loss of a car. They do everything they can for you without a hiccup so to say- wonderful company. Only downside- I never received a call regarding my vehicle, the process, etc. when it was taken by my insurance company. Would like that "peace of mind" if plausible... I get they can't control everything- but even a little phone call would be nice to update me on my vehicles stance? Like who took my precious car and whatnot? And it's not only on them- I also didn't receive any information from insurance themselves. So take what you want- but otherwise a great company given what you have received on the roadway and the aftermath. Would definitely recommend this company....only complaint is the lack of communication. I didn't even know if my car was towed out of the lot unless I called on my own time... very weird. While trying to problem solve and put a clear plan in place he failed in every single category from respect to clear communication. To the point, when I tried to ask him for specifics, his reply was "I have a million dollars, you don't." He then continued to tell me he did not care for the questions I had and I eventually had to coach him through the process of clear communication. His employee on the other hand was very respectfup and helpful. And was clearly embarrassed to be associated with his "leader". All in all my opinion rests that they have the equipment and employees but are seriously lacking respectful intelligent leadership.

Purchasing a new car isnt fun, but working with Thurmond was a smooth, and zero stress environment. My young adult daughter had her sights on one specific car after mnths of searching and she was ready to purchase that one, and ONLY that one and the car had not even got the lot yet. I wasn't giving her money for it. She had to afford it all by herself. I told her Id do the haggling for her and I was not looking forward to that feeling if worked a double in a rock quarry dealing with a car salesman. End result, we drove off the lot with THE car she wanted, papers signed and we felt great! She had just signed away thousands of dollars, years of payments in her name to this dealership and we felt we'd made a great decision to purchase from here. Capital Mazda may not know how big of a gold mine they have in this employee. I hope they invest in Thurmond because dealerships have bad reputations due to salesmen that are a dime a dozen. Thurmond had to put up with hours of my multiple questions for a solid 5 days and by the time we left the dealership we felt OUR time and money was well spent here and ready to buy my own car from them. I never had trouble reaching Thurmond. He was reliable, good energy, he was focused on us, I never felt pressured or rushed and he did a good job leading us to closure. I can see it when I look back now. The deal was fair, and really important--Thurmond actually likes his job so I have to compliment his management team. Great salespeople are a reflection of the culture and leadership they have and it was evident management respects and works in tandem with their people. Johnathon especially. There was a manager who seemed a bit scary/gruff at first, but was actually kind & professional so in the end the dealership was well rounded IMO. Ask for Thurmond. We had 3 separate repairs over a 9-month period on a 2021 Nissan…read moreRogue totaling over $5K to address the same exact symptoms of vehicle overheating and sudden deceleration. Most of the cost of repairs were for diagnostics (new fee each time despite a repeat of the same issues) and labor --- always quoting the highest end of the range of repair time for installation of new parts at $199+ per hour of labor. All this may have been acceptable if service was diligent and customer focused, but this was not the case. First repair involved a replacement part that Leith Nissan (LN) said was out of stock with no ETA for getting it in. They said the car was unsafe to drive, so we would be without it indefinitely with no solutions offered. We took it upon ourselves to seek the part, quickly finding it (for 40% less) at a dealer in Texas who shipped to us for free. We also found out from Nissan that due to no central availability of the part, we could have gotten a free loaner for a period of time. LN neither offered to source the part via other dealers, nor the loaner option through Nissan. On the third repair, despite an early a.m. appointment on day 1, the vehicle was not looked at until day 2. Repairs were authorized and parts expected on day 3. On day 4 we received a message that an incorrect part was ordered or received, and that repairs would be completed on day 5. Day 5 came and went with no contact from LN; upon reaching out to them on day 6 they got back to us and we were told a needed part was further delayed until day 9. Over a week without use of our car because they could not get two hoses replaced in that time and didn't bother to communicate along the way. Keeping the LN service manager abreast all along this series of events resulted in nothing more than the replies they give to the negative reviews on this site --- 'your feedback is important, we strive for excellent service, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry'. Politely ineffective is the kindest thing I can say about our interactions with this group. We now have a new car outside the Leith/Holman Group network and are delighted to be done with this dealer and service department.
