History
Established in 1952.
Ralph Smith bought his first truck in 1952, transporting mainly sand, gravel and structural steel until his death in 1979. The Smith family took the reigns of the three-truck fleet and grew it into an operation of about 120 trucks and 100 employees.
Still family-owned and operated, Ralph Smith Co. has become the preferred supplier for some of the West's largest construction companies, moving millions of tons of earth through harsh urban conditions for the past 60 years.
In addition to daily operations, the company maintains several customized vintage trucks that steer away from dirty work and get a regular shining for antique truck shows, winning multiple awards over the years.
