Superior customer service! I didn't even use this service because I didn't realize they were in the wrong city, but I called, explained my situation, and they were very upfront with costs and let me know that they were not in that area but would still help me if I wanted to pay the bit extra to have them come to my area of service. They were professional, used a kind tone and were empathetic. I even got a "Good luck to ya!" Once I found out i called them and they No muss or fuss said they would pick it up and take it to the right destination Great service Friendlt and personable staff. We called for a tow on a Saturday morning and they answered! They weren't sure they could help us because we were stuck in a very busy parking lot, but they came out within half an hour and were able to get our vehicle towed to the mechanic. UNRELIABLE AND RUDE Called at 8:30 in the morning to make an appointment to be towed. After giving our location and payment info, they said they would arrive in 1-2 hours. 4 hours later at 12:30, we called to see what the delay was. They stated they had called to confirm information that we had given previously at 8:30, and no one answered. However, we received no phone calls. They sent their truck elsewhere. Jackson, who answered the phone claimed they do not have time to wait around all day, getting angry with us even though we are quite literally sitting by the phone waiting for them. As a towing business, you might think the people who need to be towed will be ready and waiting for you as we cannot drive anywhere ourselves. 4 hours of our day wasted with no tow truck on the way. read more

I had my car stop working at my apartment complex where it's parked in a garage under my building. I contacted Allstate and they set me up with a different tow company who informed me it would be an additional $400 to get my car out of the garage, in addition to what Allstate covers. I called Allstate back and requested a different company on a different day. Allstate contacted Dewaal & Sons and I'm so glad they did. They were accidentally sent out that day instead of later, but instead of being upset with me, their employee, Garrett, was more than accommodating, even coming into the garage and figuring out where I would need to push the car when it was ready to be towed so that there wouldn't be any issues the day of. The day they actually towed my car, Garrett showed up earlier than expected so I hadn't had time to push the car. I asked if he wouldn't mind waiting 20 minutes until my family arrived to help push and he offered to just help push it himself. He and my brother pushed the car to the entrance of the garage and then towed it up the ramp. I cannot say enough how amazing Dewaal was to work with. read more

Was locked out of car in antelope island in an avis rent a car. They called this towing service to unlock car which had medications that were needed along with various other items in trunk. The driver Cody open the car but set off alarm that would not let us in trunk. He then left us there. He could of called his dispatch or avis (who at this point we had made 20 calls to and call phone batteries dying) not one call just drove off. Again CODY WAS HIS NAME) He was in a tow truck that could have towed the car back to avis. No. He could have driven us to a location so we could have called for a ride back to our hotel. No. He left 2 senior citizens (elder abuse) in the heat with no food or water. I needed my medication. Just drove off and left us there. Stuck for 12 hours till rangers took us to hotel. The service I recieved this evening was excellent. The first driver that was called (from keyme) could not find my house for some reason. DeWaal not only found my house, but arrived ten minutes earlier than their ETA! It only took the technician a minute to get into my car. Worst towing experience ever! After contacting them through my insurance company, the dispatcher gave me an estimated arrival of 1- 1/12 hours! 2 hours go by and not a peep! I call her back and she informs me that the driver is still in another town which is about 30 minutes away. 30 minutes later, she calls to say that their truck broke down and no other tows will be completed for the evening! Now it's dark and my Cadillac is sitting in a not so nice neighborhood and I have to start the process all over again with the insurance company. I got a wonderful company (Chuck's) and they did an excellent job. BTW- my stepdaughter called Dewaal about an hour later to see if she could get a tow. Amazingly, he was able to oblige, after telling me they were done for the night. All in all, it took 4.5 hours to get my car towed because of this company! Avoid them like a plague! read more

A few years ago, I took my Mazda truck to Dewaal for repair. When I picked it up, there was a crack in the windshield, big enough to require replacement before I could get it inspected. Even after a Better Business Bureau complaint, Dewaal would do nothing to make it right. I have a friend and neighbor who made the mistake of paying Dewaal for a replacement part.
