Very nice store. Ive been shoping at Ralph's for sure over 40 years and you know its a grocery store. I dont expect much but some customer service. I was there early in the morning and there was only one cashier and I was getting 2 items, the lady in front of me beat me by seconds and she had an overflowing basket. In any other situation id use self check out but I couldnt. It didnt help that the lady in front of me broke down her transaction into 3. So yesh that helped and it didnt help that they didnt open another register so yeah that kinda frustrated me. I believe this was my first time in this store and this will probably be my memory every time I see this store. read more

The absolute WORST deli counter. I moved here 5 1/2 years ago from Massachusetts and I will never understand why there's only one person working behind the deli counter. It's every day all day. Doesn't matter what time of day you go in there there's only one person working. ONE! Even when it is your turn to order, they take forever. They take baby steps to the counter and then baby steps to the slicer and then baby steps back to you. It is excruciating to go in there. read more

Had a rendezvous with my mother at her favorite Ralphs here in the marina as opposed to mine in Culver City. Quite naturally, she was able to locate things at this particular location that mine have, but in different aisles and sections of the store. And of course with me being the good son, I paid for the various items she wanted. What I wasn't prepared for was this awesome duo of David and Santiago, both of whom offered levels of customer service as a collective tandem that I had yet to see in a grocery type of setting. Despite a line behind us, cashier David went out of his way to separately bag numerous dish detergent soaps my mom had gotten, clearly pointing out how the last thing we would want would be any soap remnants leaking onto our groceries which ironically enough has happened to us before. Santiago handled the bagging aspect of the transaction with a smooth flow, smile, and great personality, enabling us to get in and out in no time. You can tell these two gel well, and it's clearly a credit to the Ralph's brand, and at the very least this storm particular. read more

I didn't my Thanksgiving dinner shopping at Ralph's this year--and they did not disappoint! They had EVERYTHING stocked and ready to go--from Organic herbs/products to canned goods, etc. The store was clean, organized and mostly easy to find what I needed. There were maybe two items I could not find on my own. When I asked the staff for help, I was met with kindness and enthusiastic help. They didn't just point and say "over there." I was walked over, asked clarifying questions, and helped with my search. Then voilà--found! I left with a 25lb turkey, all the ingredients I needed for the bird + side dishes, and--a smile! I have never been to Ralphs. I am visiting my daughter in town and needed some cleaning materials. I decided to walk on over to check out their nearest grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in finding the store clean, organized, and appealing. I only needed one grocery aisle, but I ended up wandering around because it was so spacious and clean. I loved Ralphs' flower selection. Good to know that I can stop here at a moment's notice if I needed to get someone a pick-me-up. The card to accompany the flowers was out of my reach, so I wasn't thrilled about that placement. I also didn't realize that the flower bags were $4.99. I just wanted a plastic bag to hold the flowers in to keep the stems wet until I got home. Other than that, the checkout lanes were plentiful and quick, and I could use my Kroger login from Michigan to get the discount. I was so relieved to learn from the self-checkout employee that I could pay using Apple Pay since I forgot my purse back at home. read more

I like a lot of things about this market, but one thing that's upsetting is like today, there's like two lines with seven or eight people in each of them and the general manager, I think her name is Yasmin, is blowing up balloons in the flower station and then when she finally walks over, she doesn't even open up another register I've worked in supermarkets before and it's very frustrating with the manager isn't a team player and doesn't help out the other cashiers. This is my local store. Since COVID, the pick up service is most convenient for me. I truly enjoy shopping with the online app and saving $ with the sales and coupons. I do less compulsive buying and save a lot of time. The store shoppers do great even w my fruits and veggies and if they don't, the app accommodates requests for refunds. I can't go wrong. I definitely compare shop, but this Ralphs is my primary grocery store. read more

I am a big discount shopper so when I find things on sale or marked down I purchase them first. Today I probably saved $50 on groceries. So that was a great find. Also the store is amazingly clean. It's a newer store and they were playing great music. Almost as good as Trader joes. I can tell that there is a new directive to be friendly to customers. Because everyone was smiling and asked if they could help. This would not have happened a year ago. Im a big deli fan. I got a salad for $2 and cold chicken also on sale $3. Y'all, I know what you're thinking. Why am I giving Ralph's 5 stars? Well, a couple reasons: - both the employees working in the aisles and at the checkout are always happy and willing to help. Years ago, When I first moved here, I couldn't figure out where to find the grits. I asked for help and while the employee didn't have the slightest clue what I was even referring to, they still went on the adventure, determined to track it down. We finally found it in the baking aisle (not in the breakfast aisle, I know, quite bizarre but that's a whole other topic unrelated to this post). That said, their helpfulness still stands 7 years later - their seafood selection is pretty good. Yes, while the wild Alaskan king salmon might not always make an appearance, their other seafood options are still just as good. Every time I cook for friends, they're always shocked to hear the seafood was from Ralph's. "But it's so fresh!" yes, it is fresh and delicious. Plus their Alaskan king crab legs are a steal. You can get a couple pounds for the same price you'd pay at boiling crab for 1 or even WF. - the Ralph's shopper card always has amazing deals and just makes you feel like you're winning at the grocery game - the wine and champagne - don't get me started! Buy 6 bottles (mix and match) and get an additional 30% off??? I stock up every time, especially if a birthday is coming up. Nothing says best-friend-for-the-win when you show up to the party with an $80 bottle of Veuve Rose Champagne. Plus, you'll be feeling extra special knowing you only spent $56 (maybe even less if there was an additional Ralph's discount that day)! - the sushi is actually really good! I mean, it's grocery store sushi, so know your benchmark but as someone who has dined at n'naka 8 times, this says something about the quality Ralph's is putting out - the store is also clean and uses some warm / soft lighting near the produce section. They also recently redid the flooring, making it feel a bit more cozy (which we all need! Avoiding Shopping cart collisions is stressful!) - for a while they had a solid variety of eggs, although ever since the egg shortage, it seems they've been a little slower to get their egg variety back on track - but there are still some solid organic free range options - Their flowers last a lot longer than most of the ones I've purchased at TJs and WF - they have a solid cheese selection (although TJs does have slightly better pricing on the same cheeses) - their produce (fruits and veggies) don't go bad overnight; they hold up for a couple days and they usually have a pretty solid selection to choose from, both organic and non-organic - there's a Starbucks inside the store - there are two entrances / exits - the parking lot is well lit and I've never not found a spot - there are other shops nearby (restaurants and banks) - Burton Chase Park is literally down the street. Perfect spot to take your Ralph's groceries for a picnic - treat them since they're treating you. But seriously, the park overlooks the sea lions and boats; you can even catch the sunset if you time it right read more

April 27, 2025, 10 pm. As I enter the store, to pick up a couple of things, there's a woman with a little dog on a leash. The leash is the retractable type. I believe they are not legal. The leash is blocking the aisle entry, so I go to the next aisle to reach the rear of the store. I pick up what I need and head for the self checkout. I see the same dog woman with a short roll of paper towels, as she tears off a sheet of paper towel and proceeds to pick up three pieces of dog shit. This is right by the self checkout. She gets up, and steps away, just as I approach the area, I said... "That's disgusting and unsanitary, in a grocery store." I didn't see any employees go to disinfect the area where the dog shit. I paid for my groceries and left. Do we not have health laws that protect humans from animals entering and shiting where we buy our food? read more

The shelf was marked 3/$6 for olipop, I didn't buy that many things but my total was $50 which seemed weird based on what I bought. Normally once I put in my phone number and then hit pay the discounts based on what the store lists will match up. I was charged full price instead of the 3/$6 that was listed. I've called and called and called and the line keeps getting disconnected because no one is picking up. Definitely not going to shop here if they aren't honoring their own discounts or labeling properly. It's fine if it wasn't on sale, but it was labeled as being on sale which is why I bought it. Parking lot is crowded and hard to get in and out of, but the store is laid out nicely, and it has a nice deli area with lots of fun snacks and treats. Great cheese and charcuterie counter. Staff here is friendly and pleasant. Clean store, if a little crowded. Nice Starbucks inside. Same sales and prices as the rundown and poorly run Ralph's on Lincoln near the 90 freeway. Okay let's start with the controllables. The pharmacy closes from 1-1:30 everyday. While this is not ideal, it's understandable and you can plan for it. Unless they don't reopen at 1:30. Which they don't. The produce section is always under stocked. The lady who usually works it always seems to be in pain and is super rough on the produce. It's bruised and messy and often not stocked. The deli is terrible. Despite the pretty looking cheese section, it's lipstick on a pig. The deli is always out of most stuff and if you have the gall to ask one of the deli staff if they have anymore of something they act like you are an idiot and a jerk for even asking. Today I needed batteries which are locked up but they are out of almost all sizes. Uncontrollables. The parking sucks. read more

Something very strange happened to my bank account here. I was buying an energy drink, and the self checkout asked me if I wanted to withdraw cash. I needed some cash that night, so I took out $20. I somehow got a $133 charge on my bank statement for a "non Wells Fargo transaction fee." This $133 charge came from an ATM on Pico Blvd, which I was decidedly NOT present at. I filed a claim with Wells Fargo, but it was denied because I used my chip and my PIN number. I called their fraud department, but there was nothing they could do. I recommend never withdrawing cash from the self check out or tellers here. $133 down the drain. Never getting cash back again. read more

No matter how many times I've gone in here, I never find the store to have much flow. Item location and aisles have no rhyme or reason. I literally run in to get something, then run around the store looking for it. And then try to figure out how to pay and get out. Shelves have had incorrect tags. I've had to ask a manager to fix tags to honor ad prices. She did but it was an extra 10 minutes of explanation. The best Ralph's I've been in so far. The design of the store was made for shoppers to navigate through out the store with ease. It was large spacious and clean. A huge selection of groceries to choose from. It was like walking into a Whole Foods or Bristol Farm grocery store, but with affordable pricing and quality food. The staffer's I encountered at the Service Deli and check out both had very calm demeanor, and was extremely helpful. I had switch purses and picked up the one without my wallet. Mary the cashier informed me that she will be more than happy to hold my items until I returned. And graciously voided the transaction, despite the long line. When I returned, she was assigned to the self check out. She greeted me with a smile, retrieve my basket and commence to checking me out. While other customers were calling for her assistance at the self check out. She politely responded to them letting them know she will be with them shortly never showing a sign of frustration or stress. Kudos to her, good service is hard to find read more

I ordered Instacart from this store. The order took longer than they said and when the shopper arrived HE REEKED OF MARIJUANA!! Surely Instacart does not allow their drivers to smoke weed in the car? And while driving??? The bags smelled like pot, and everything inside the bags smelled like pot. I had to take everything out into the garage because I am sick and the smells were making me nauseated!!! Disgusting. I have been coming to this location for years and I have never received great customer service until recently. Renee not only went above and beyond for me but made me feel comfortable. My kids were not being too easy on me while checking out and Renee gave them stickers and candy and surprisingly calmed them down all while working and multi tasking and bagging also put the bags in my cart. This place is routinely out of items and the staff is repulsive. Yesterday was the last straw. I will NEVER go into this place again!! While checking out, an item marked at $1.99 was rung up for full price, $2.50. When I pointed it out, the cashier let out a sigh, paused, asked where the item was located. I pointed at the freezer twenty feet away. She then asked the price that it was marked. I told her. She then proceeded to shame me "oh, 50¢!" And another heavy sigh. I told her why don't you reach in you pocket and give me 50¢. She didn't care for that much or make the connection. It is just rude and I refuse to stand for this treatment. I shopped there 4-7 times a week, SINCE IT WAS MARKET BASKET. It is NOT the fifty cents, it is the prevailing crap attitude. I had another incident like this at the deli. I ordered the 8 piece fried chicken with all dark meat. Despite it being prominently displayed as an option on the marquee, this lady coped and attitude and told me that they don't do special orders.
