Unfortunately I never really find anything appetizing here outside of the liquor and drinks. They are stocked up okay. I just never have an appetite for anything that they have on sale in the bakery or hot food section. So it always results in chips and dip. Parking is great. Never have a problem. This Ralphs is located on Lake Forest drive. Good inventory of grocery products and household products. Every week there's something on sale so that's good. New sales start every Wednesday and ends the following Tuesday. This location also has self checkouts so that's convenient. I like coming here to buy sweets and bakery goods for coworkers. You can get a large box of pastries (cookies, croissants, donuts, and bagels) for a good price. They also have prepared Boars Head sandwiches and salads for purchase and easy to take to work. Friday's that have a $6 deal on their sushi so that's a good option as well. Overall good grocery store to shop at when there are sales. If you are buying items not for sale, I feel like their regular price is on the higher and expensive end. So wait for a sale and get a good deal! read more

We had a shopping cart full of food. There were no registers open. We don't drink but were buying a 6 pack of beer for our son who was on leave from the Air Force. The manager was leaning on his counter and other employees were walking around while we did a shopping cart full of food at self checkout. When we scanned the beer the manager ran over and said you can't buy that here. You have to go through a register. I then said he would need a register open to do that. We packed up our groceries and went to the register that had just opened. The lady in front of is then pulled out about 10 Gift cards she wanted to buy. I was just here buying some fruit and vegetables I decided to not use self checkout this time. As I was about to place my items on the counter the cashier Vldar abruptly shouted out no self checkout and pointed to the self checkout lane, I didn't really react as he caught me off guard, and I was preoccupied as I trying to comprehend what was happening then the manager that was bagging stuff for the customer that was in-front of me said no she can stay here. So I stayed in line, as he was checking me out he was questioning me about the beets and just making a big deal of why they weren't or were in a bundle and that usually they come in a bundle. He wasn't making any effort to be helpful, it seemed he was upset he needed to do his job, the employee that was bagging my groceries Anthony made several comments to the cashier Vlad told him to stop making a big deal and to just check me out as smoothly as possible, he also said "it's like you're the grocery cop!" I just bit my tongue and smiled Anthony and decided to take the high road and not make a bigger deal out of this situation. Thank you Anthony for saying something and standing up for me! I'm usually not one to stay quiet when I feel I'm being disrespected or discriminated, but IM dealing with so much emotionally so I'm drained. The cashier was extremely rude and came off a bit racist, he was extremely helpful to the gentleman and nice to the gentleman the checked out before me that was of a lighter complexion. I only interacted with him for no more than a few minutes but I can only imagine what it's like working with him. I usually go to albertsons for my pickup orders, but decided to try ralphs. Placing my order and picking my substitutions and paying was all really easy. And then it was all downhill from there. The time slot came when I was supposed to pick up my order. I didn't get a text or an email letting me know it was ready. I logged into my ralphs account and it looked like my order was ready despite no notifications. The cream cheese I had ordered (which was on sale - which was the whole reason I ordered from Ralphs) reflected $0 on my order, yet did NOT say out of stock, and you were still able to order more. That made no sense. Also the zucchini I ordered and had also picked a subsitition for said out of out stock. So.... was the substitution not given? This was unclear. I drove over and there was no signage directing to where the pickup parking was and the signs are so low for the pickup spaces you could easily drive right past them. Most of these spots were already taken by people just parked and not waiting for a pickup. Once I did get a pickup spot I went inside and asked for a manager. Best I got was some assistant team lead type employee who couldn't have cared less about his job or the customers. I explained that I had called and called and called and nobody answers the phone. He stared blankly and didn't care. I asked why nobody answers. We're busy, was the reply. I tried to get clarity about why I didn't get alerted about my order being ready. He blammed app developers. I asked my questions about the cream cheese and zucchini and he called up the order pickup person. Turns out my cream cheese was out of stock although the app did not show that, and the zucchini was in stock even though it claimed to be out of stock. I asked why this was not accurate when viewing my order. Again, couldn't get any answers and nobody cared. Worst of all, my ice cream was basically soup at that point as it was not kept frozen once the order was shopped. It was leaking and made a mess. I will never shop here again, in store or for pickup. The employees really show how much they don't care at all with their blank stares and lazy attitudes. Do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else. read more

Every time I buy ice cream from this store, I come home to find it has either freezer burn or melted so badly the popsicle sticks are floating somewhere in the box like survivors of a shipwreck. I swear they must turn the freezers off at night to save on electricity. And if there's one thing they hate more than frozen food, it's eggs. I almost never go here out of disgust for the products they shamefully sell at full price, but every once in a while, I give my neighborhood grocery store a chance. You'll find most carts strewn about the parking lot, if you do end up finding one at all. The 3 in operation have broken wheels and draw everyone's attention in the store. There always seems to be some sketchy drug deal going on in front, and I rarely feel safe walking in. Overall a terrible shopping experience each time I come here. This is our neighborhood Ralphs, and I love it for its convenience, friendly sushi guy, good stock of products, and short lines. The reason I'm writing this review in particular, though, is the pick-up service provided by Chloe. I know she works Tuesday mornings (which is usually when I get my pick-up), and she always gets all the products right, goes above and beyond to find the specific items I've requested (rather than some grocery pickers who just mark it out of stock when they can't find it right away), and picks good produce. She's also friendly and polite. It's gotten to the point that I make sure I schedule my pick-ups for times I think Chloe will be doing them. :) read more

Beyond frustrated and disappointed with the quality of food and customer service of this store. I utilize the store pick up feature and they never check the quality of the vegetables, fruit or salads. The "system" is always blamed, yet you can't blame the system when the humans employed to check the system fail to do so and leave customers in their car in the parking lot in 80 degree weather with the car running for AC with ridiculous gas prices. The market itself is decent. I have to say tho that the meat dept is kinda weak. I wanted to purchase a rib roast and have it cut into steaks. It was on sale for $7.99 a pound. The guy came out and said if he does that for me, he'd have to do it for everybody. He was kinda rude. He told me to go the steaks section and pay $11.99 a pound for the same meat. I said no thank you. So I drove about a mile away to the Stater Bros and theirs was $6.99 a pound and they happily cut it into steaks for me. Really nice people at the meat dept there. The cashier rolled her eyes and started ringing up the person behind me. Update:You never know what kind of gems you'll find at Ralph's! Got 2 of these backyard babies for $10 (regularly $25)! I've found great deals in their seasonal items many times. I bought a Keurig machine for 50% off once and a large electric griddle for $10. Love my neighborhood Ralph's and the people that work there are super friendly too! If you go to this store you've got to go through Miss Georgia Peach's line. She is wonderful, friendly and so much fun! The changes they have made at this store are fantastic! Been going here for over 20 years and I'm so happy the customer service has been stepped up. It's cleaner, more organized and everyone is friendly! Love my shopping experience there better than years past. They have an extensive (and some what expensive) gluten free options and most items are labeled on the shelf for easy find by the eye. They also have rotisserie and fried chicken (neither gluten free) for a quick no fuss meal. Salad bar, soup and did you know they do catering? The meat department folks are very helpful and they have lots of recipes for your meat or seafood selections if you're not sure what to fix for dinner.
