The water wasn't very hot/ more luke warm. They ran out of food the second week i was there for almost a week. The guy went to the hotel next door to borrow food for breakfast. Now the good. The room was clean and spacious The bed was comfortable Never saw any bugs Hotel is in a good location/ close to stores ect The folks who work there are very nice and helpful especially Ryan/front desk and Patricia/kitchen There is always someone at the front desk. My room door does not close/latch automatically so you have to be sure to push it hard to get it locked. Stuff is just old and worn. TVs are very old. Bathroom vent fan was top notch. So it wasn't all bad. Price was cheap. Get what you pay for I guess.

We didn't try the restaurant so we don't have a review on that. The rooms are fairly soundproof. You can hear a few footsteps upstairs if people are banging but other than that it's quiet. The rooms itself are clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the pillows were big and fluffy. The only reason for taking 2 stars off was for the argument between the staff. I felt like that shouldn't have been done at the front desk. Anything like that should be in an enclosed office. The manager was telling a cleaning lady she was fired and not to come back. Keep that away from the guests

Beautiful sheer fabric in curtains…read more The Sleeping Room NOT GOOD: Noticed upon entering: Spot painting: different paint sheen in the new vs existing paint, in ceiling and wall(s). Smelled damp & old, probably from the noisy window A/C that repeatedly kicked on with enough noise to wake up persons there to sleep. Two thermostats had no instructions which was the one that actually operated said window A/C. No bag in the ice bucket. Vertical line in center of screen, top to bottom. No clue where the light switch over the coffee pot cubby--not good for sleepers who don't want a lit room to sleep. Only one chair for multiple guests. At nighttime, curtains' tops, bottoms, sides edges showed the very bright light, same as if it were (very good) daylight, so hard to tell during sleep it when it was day vs night. No clock. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom NOT GOOD: Dim lighting so need to bring your own lamp with tested lighting good enough to apply makeup. Black shower wall--contributed to the poor light level & impossible to see if clean. Toilet was not comfort height - not good for handicapped & seniors, mgt needs to consider whether this budget saving and catering to kindergarteners is justified. Breakfast Bar Good: Clean. A waffle machine. A bottle of Tabasco hot sauce. Both booths and tables seating. Booths looked new. Scrambled eggs had something added. Caffein tea. Bold & decaf (or at least that's want the pots were labeled) coffee. Nice permanently installed wall sign with the different breakfast hours for M-F vs (closes an hour later on) weekends. Hand Sanitizer installed on the wall. Breakfast Bar NOT GOOD: Two types of pre-made soggy breakfast sandwiches: 1) a croissant with sausage & cheese; 2) fried egg & swiss cheese on a English muffin. Only 1 waffle machine. Not 1 piece of fresh fruit. Coffee machine labeled "bold" was weak. Parking Lot Good: Well lighted at night for security. Service & Management NOT GOOD: Upon arrival and when checking out, no agent at the desk. No obvious manager seen. Unacceptable considering the above. Service & Management Good: Is a SMOKE-FREE hotel, and a sign was posted saying $300 charge for smoking in the building (was the reason we chose this over the nearby Hampton Inn which had both smoking and nonsmoking rooms, presumably using the same HVAC ducting). We never detected any smoke scent either.

On a previous visit the hair dryer wasn't working. On all occasions the very nice owner came and fixed the problem, but it's just not how you want to begin a stay when you've been traveling. The room itself was comfortable and clean, though there were stains on the soda and a large hole in the bedspread. Nothing to affect our stay really, but perhaps more troubling to others. Rates are reasonable.

All my check ins were fast and professional. Their rooms are comfortable and warm even when the weather is cold and bad outside. I had no problems staying here but my friend thought they differently. She gave our towels to housekeeping and they didn't like giving her extra towels. She did this a couple days in a row. It was extra hard to get the TV to come on as you had to go up to TV to press a button before the remote control would work. Anyway, it wasn't the best hotel I ever stayed at but I would stay here again. I guess I will just try not to use too many towels next time.

They refuse to give us our money back claiming that they did not find bedbugs but I got bit by one and have photo proof of them. There was dried urine on the toilet seat when we first got there. We had to leave ay 8 at night to find a different hotel. The employee at the front desk acted like he really didn't even care at all. He claimed that we had to speak to the manager and it took four days to talk to her just for her to claim that she couldn't find any bedbugs. DISGUSTING DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. YOU WILL GO HOME WITH BED BUGS AND BITES.

I saw no one else staying here over the course of two weeks staying here. I did have a problem with the water. It was hard to get the water the right temperature to take a shower. If you turn the knob just a little bit to the left- it was to cold and if you turn it just a little to the right it was way too hot. Also, I had to run the water for a long time before I got hot water. I guess the hot water heater was too far away . Like other reviewers, it's nothing fancy. In fact, I bet it's closer to a 100 year old hotel than you think.

Our room is always clean, though furnishings a bit worn and TV the old clunky type and old industrial style toilet. Nice new comfy beds though. This is NOT a Hilton, folks; it is a Rodeway Inn for sleepy Interstate drivers and fishermen. Continental breakfast is also minimal, but there is a McDonald's next door for those of us who want hot food and lattes. Rates are inexpensive. We continue to stay here because we have reasonable expectations that are consistently met.
