I barely have a scar left from the invasive procedure and due to the quality of the surgery recovered more quickly than anyone expected. Most importantly, he took the time to listen and was patient in answering questions and guiding me through my cancer journey. He took into consideration my input yet never veered from making the right medical decisions for me. I'm alive today because of Dr. Wallin.

After discussions they all recommended removing my entire colon even though there was no evidence of cancer. After hearing this I had a different idea of how I wanted things to go. My wonderful wife agreed with me and did exhaustive research, luckily finding the INCREDIBLE Dr. Ulrik Wallin at the Polyclinic. Dr. Wallin listened to my concerns, and talked of options the others never mentioned. He suggested a plan for me to review based on my concerns. Even though Dr. Wallin had reviewed all the previous reports and images, he asked to do an exploratory colonoscopy to see for himself if his new plan would be possible. Three days later he did a robotic orthoscopic resection, removing the large polyp (that was found to have a very small malignant growth) with 100% success and no "outdoor plumbing" as I like to call it. No longer do I have to fret over a lifetime of colostomy bags! After surgery, he continued to follow up in the hospital to see how I was doing. He is an amazingly gifted colorectal surgeon, with a sincere interest in bettering (or saving) the lives of patients. Terrific personality, great listener, brilliant surgeon! We owe so much to Dr. Wallin and are forever grateful for finding him.

Then I had something unfortunately come up and I needed to cancel appointment and hoped they could swap my appointment with someone who had an appointment a few weeks after me. Was told that it wasn't fair to people who have been waiting. Why wouldn't it be fair? I had to wait too. Then I would have to book out another 3 months. Also no wait list for cancellations. So who is getting the appointment I had to cancel? Rude.

She was informative, direct, and overall pleasant. I liked her overall mentality and bedside manner. If you have to go through this - at least you need to speak to a doctor like that. I don't want to have to see anyone more about this but if I have to I would come back to her. The office was running late and I wish they had just called and told me so but they were good once I got in. The nurse was also pleasant. They however gave me good directions on the elevator & parking so I guess it works out. The parking is paid -1st hour free then $5. They don't validate or anything you just pay in the garage when you exit at the manned booth.

Roselyn was great at getting my feeling great through acupuncture, deep tissue massaging, and dynamic cupping. She even found big knots in my shoulders/back area that I didn't even tell her about. Those knots were from shoulder injuries that I had 10 years ago and I had just gotten used to the occasional clicking and light pain. She was able to treat my shoulders with acupuncture, deep tissue massaging, and cupping - and my shoulders haven't felt this good in years! Highly recommend Roselyn / Arbor-Vitae Acupuncture if you're looking for treatment. There is a waitlist for new clients, but you can be put on a waitlist and get notified for openings if time opens up sooner. I think I had to wait 3 weeks or so.

Acupuncture has proven to provide relief to constant back aches and pains that massage and Chiropractic alone could not fix. The different techniques used during treatments gave me instantaneous relief, while other remedies may have taken several sessions to repair or show any sign of progress. Acupuncture and cupping not only helped relieve any pains or aches, but it also was a remedy for stress relief and relaxation. I would say that acupuncture is kind of a "one stop shopping" type of treatment. I generally have a slight phobia of needles, but the needles used during acupuncture didn't really phase me. I learn something new every session, as Roselyn does an excellent job of explaining the different trigger points and natural remedies for ailments. I highly recommend paying Roselyn a visit. She'll take great care of you!

He rushed through the first appointment we had, and didn't ask many questions. Half my responses were mischarted, and he cut me off wherever I tried to ask questions, or provide detail. When confronted with the severe pain (like, in tears, after previously tolerating a thrombosed hemorrhoid), he was a condescending jerk, and tried to minimize the pain as just anxiety, initially refusing to do any exam, and never performing a DRE, before or after, actively delaying receiving the right diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner which may have helped to undo the damage he contributed to. He just said to schedule an appointment a few months out, and it would be gone by then if I used Nitroglycerin (which both didn't work, and added to irritation). A nurse initially refused to share a list of PT providers, until I finished two more bandings. He then charged my insurance $1k for a second procedure he never performed. (Edit: this was marked as an office surgery in claim, but the CPT code was correct in EOB. He did bill initial visit at 45 to 60 minutes, despite less than 15 minutes of interaction) On Yelp, others have described similar incidents, and being guided into a procedure branded as "painless" without explanation or concern when severe pain is the outcome. The entity had a negative reputation from both a local colorectal specialist, and PT. I tried to switch providers at GastroHealth, but was told that wouldn't be possible, and to seek referral to hospital system (months out) instead. After leaving a negative review, Dr Bernstein rescheduled video visits (for a rectal injury), where he contributed nothing remotely valuable. This has caused thousands of dollars in medical bills, invasive tests, temporary disability, and near constant pain, severe enough to prevent me from being able to travel over the holidays, even after months of PT. The experience has been incredibly traumatic, to trust a doctor, and go from an already distressing amount of pain (which he did nothing of value to address), to an all new kind of pain. I truly believe he is incompetent and unethical, and someone who should not be practicing medicine, especially anything colorectal adjacent.
