My favorite street tacos truck in LA. Been going here for over 20 years. Tacos are good. Carne Asada is my favorite. Hot sauce is fire.

I see this truck daily on 3rd and Columbia (Westlake) last night 4-29-2022. Same one from Eagle Rock?

I see this truck nightly on 3rd and Columbia (Westlake area). Photo was taken on 4-29-2022. Is this the same Rambos from Eagle Rock? It's parked in front of a liquor store directly across the street from a 7-11. There seating for diners. Parking is limited and the neighborhood is questionable.

Rambos truck is back with a new name rulas tacos. Same cooks same great taste welcome back guys

Fake $10

I used to respect rambos. Leo's tacos are $1.20 but Rambos are $1.40. I was always curious about them. So i checked the truck out and to my surprise, i received the delicacy of tongue, cabeza, and tripas. I used to go late nights but after coming back after two years, I get an eyelash in my taco? And a fake $10 bill as change? To hell with this truck! When has 6 tacos cost $1.50 each amounting to $9? These people are thieves! They think they're some taco outlaws when in reality, they have a power complex that revolves around their delicious tacos. Disrespectful, fraudulent, and a scam. Never will I ever come back to this forsaken chum bucket.

The coolest thing about this truck are the murals painted on the sides of it. I was hoping for some Stallone style ass kicking to be served up, but alas none was found on the menu. I guess I'll just have to settle for some childhood memories of eighties war montages... Though as cool as the truck itself looks, this is just your average Mexican food truck, serving up tacos, burritos, tortas & quesadillas. I will say that if you like cabeza, I'd recommend getting it here. Their salsas are pretty legit too and are a must on any taco. It's easy to locate and you won't need to stalk Rambo's on twitter. The truck always sets up shop on Eagle Rock Blvd, just south of York.

This was not my favorite taco truck experience. The al pastor was crispy and very chewy. The chewiness made the taco taste fatty. The tortillas were soggy, too. Not my style. Plenty of street parking, no lines, and tacos were $1.25 each.

Best burrito yet so juicy inside OMG but on the small side still worth the $5

I see Rambos truck all the time at night on this street. How could I not try it? I ignored the B rating and gave it a shot after seeing so many people in front of the truck. I fell in love with their carne asada burrito with everything and sauce on the side please. So much flavor and juice from the meat. Mmm I crave Rambos late nights now. Those that know me know that I am the pickiest person there is when it comes to Mexican food so if Rambos won me over it must be that good. I can't vouch for anything else except the burrito. I was told their beans are cooked in pork fat. The absolute best way to cook those refried beans and authentic at that. Their competitor Leo's Taco truck is always lingering near them to be a head on competitor. Watch out! FYI: They take visa and MasterCard.

Did Rambos relocate? It's been a while, having withdrawals....

Nope they did not relocate. I called the restaurant and they said they will be opening back up soon.

Where did this truck go?!?!

I called and they will be coming back soon!

Anybody know where they're at ? It's been months and they're not at their location.

Haven't seen them in past couple weeks in their usual spot in Eagle Rock, I'm trippin too. Leo's Tacos is there but no Rambos

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk up the stairwell you'll be transported into this super cute place with an outdoor-indoor feel, almost like an elegant treehouse. We were seated on the second level which provided a Birds Eye view of the restaurant. We ordered a few items to share: Cameron ceviche, flautas and for our sweet tooth, French toast paired with a mango sorbet surprise with a candle for our birthdays (tip: we drizzled the melted sorbet on our French toast and took small scoops with each bite - game changer!). Everything was so delicious! We also ordered mocktails, a miche-nada for him and a lemony drink for me. This experience wouldn't have been as great without the exceptional service we had. Our waters were always refilled without asking, our tables were cleaned with every dish, honestly top-notch service! My only real bummer was discovering they took the vegan ceviche off the menu--that was actually the whole reason I came back! I'm sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask. Despite the menu change, the incredible atmosphere and unique menu still make it a must-try.

Hollenbeck was good but I definitely enjoyed the Okie burrito more, I ordered the "original" size once and didn't seem to learn my lesson the second time, these burritos can feed two in Original size. They offer a "Mini" version which would be satisfactory for one person. My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.
