Just a heads up, you'll need to book in advance if you want to secure a time slot to see the infinity room. We picked the 3:45 PM slot and waited about 5-10 minutes before entering. There's no food, drinks, or flash photography allowed (which makes sense). To be honest, I was a little surprised by how small the Infinity Room actually is. It's just a tiny platform you stand on surrounded by mirrors so be careful not to get too close to the edges. I think the photos online made it seem much bigger and more "galaxy-like," so I had different expectations going in You're only inside for about five minutes before it's time to exit for the next group. Still, it was a cool experience to check off the list and afterward we walked around The Broad, which made it a fun afternoon overall. Imagine all your fave Latino street food vendors congregating in one parking lot and this is pretty much what the place is. It started informally a few years a go with just a few vendors, but now when you go there in the evenings, its a full blown food fair. A variety tacos, including fresh hand made tortillas. Check. Champurado? Check. Pupusas? Check. Agua fresca? Check. Taquitos? Check. Fresh churros? Check. Heck, they even have a cart lady that makes crepes. I think the only missing were missing was a paletas vendor. You name it in terms of Latino street food and odds are they will have it here. The vendors are sell primarily Mexican and El Salvadorean street cuisine. They even have the El Salvadorean style tamales that I prefer over the Mexican ones. The food vendors start arriving in dusk and by 8 PM or so, they are out in full force. Best time to visit is on a weekend night, but many of the vendors are also there during week nights. Most of the dishes cost between $1.00 to $2.50. Its basically a Latino smorgasbord. And the food quality? It ranges from good to excellent, depending on what vendor and what item you purchase. This is a CASH only place. They will not accept credit/debit cards. however, if you forget to bring cash and have an ATM card, the Fair is conveniently located beside a BofA with 2 ATMs. The only downside is that there are no restrooms nearby. So arrive with an empty bladder before you load up on the agua frescas and other specialty beverages the various vendors offer. They take over a parking lot beside a Bank Of America. Its between the I-5 freeway and Soto Street. When driving on Cesar Chavez, just look for the B of A and the Big Buy Foods. The cross street is Breed. There is still parking available on the lot - you can pay by quarters or credit card. Its $1 per hour. after 9 PM, parking is free. Or you can look for parking in the nearby streets as well.

Theres always a line so get there early to put your name down. You have all the fun Asian stores with anime, fun apparel and trinkets. Asian anime lover heaven. The day we stopped by for lunch it was packed. The village was crowded as well as all the parking structure was full. We were walking along the outside of the village as it was too crowded looking for someplace to eat. There was a crowd following each other which I asked someone what was going on and it happened to be a Pokémon battle. Let me say, the place was packed that we thought there was some kind of convention or a tour has happening. It literally brought out so many people. Also I love the fashion there. Kids and adults showing their amazing fashion skills with anime related clothing. The fashion show happening as you're just sitting there on the stoop. The amazing fashion scene where it's all individuality insisted of judgment. Little Tokyo is a hidden spot in downtown that you should check out. It's not big so you could get through it pretty quickly. The restaurant, shops, boutiques, stores are all cute and worth a wander through. LA does have its nice area. Heads up, if it's your first time here. A couple blocks from here is the sketchy area of skid row. Tents and homelessness so just heads up so you're not shocked and freaking out.

I recently visited Kodansha House and one of the night markets near SomiSomi on a Sunday night. Personally, I recommend the discount shops. Theres a lot of bootleg items in some of them, however, I find neat backpacks and anime-inspired gear once in a while! I've gotten decent deals. If you're a visitor there's several hotels and places to stay nearby. Things close up early, but you'll find a few late night bites here and there. Note: The metro is accessible from Little Tokyo.

Just outside Boomtown Brewery in the Los Angeles Arts District near Downtown and partnered with the Brewery itself Vegan Playground Wednesdays is here to thrive! They have amazing music via an amazing outdoor DJ over the PA system, weekly cash giveaways from VegOut Los Angeles and so much to eat, drink and shop around for! The event is free to attend, but they do have an eventbrite page for every Wednesday that helps with giveaway entries if you choose to participate. The vendors do grow and sometimes rotate but long standing businesses like Compton Vegan (Soulfood), Word of Mouth (All American style comfort food), Oono Sushi (Japanese), Man Eating Plant (AAPI fusion), Mr Squeeze Lemonade, Body Katina (Holistic) and so so many others. I was able to try a lot my first time here including All Vegan Frank's - they have a variety of plant-based franks/hot dogs on a bun or on a stick as well as delicious tots, fries and waffle fries. The Elote Frank on its toasted bun and loaded frank was just the perfect thing. Eyeing the Korean style non-dairy cheese on a stick and various other AVF concoctions. Man Eating Plant has the best garlic noodles/noods you'll ever have and the Lemonade from Mr Squeeze is magic - they offer several flavors and your able to blend at not extra cost. With so much to try bringing a date, a friend or a group even is encouraged for max sharing and sampling. The waits for most vendors are very short and sweet. The tables do fill up fast but you can often find room inside as well with seats deeper in the Brewery as well as amongst the indoor vendors aka deserts and personal goodies. Parking is free and there is a good amount of it as well as on the street. Very close to union Station and just a short stroll under the bridge/freeway. Definitely a must! Add beer til bust.
