It was adorable to see a 6 year old barrel racing! The kids riding the sheep was also entertaining. Lots of vendors from food to merchandise. Plenty to shop for including cowboy hats & clothing. They have a kids zone with inflatables. They also have another separate kids zone with shaded bleachers- separate from general admission. We love the kids zone tickets for the shade, meals included (this year it was Raising Canes), drinks (alcohol also) & face painting. I love that they support the Ronald McDonald house and love that they have someone sing the National Anthem every year. We will be back next year!

I am not a huge rodeo fan but my friend had some extra tickets. The place was way too busy. Because of the years off everyone wanted to go on this Saturday night. Their was not enough seats for everyone and it is open bench seating. The area for the rodeo isn't a big lot and it was very crowded. Overall, too much alcohol, dirt and sponsors for my taste. I get the alcohol and dirt, that's what rodeo's are about. But the sponsors riding out between each event, plus more times, and the lack of seating was no fun. We had seats up high but were so packed in that it wasn't comfortable. I know they were sold out but maybe re-evaluate the numbers on what it takes to be "sold out"

Lots of Asian eats and a few varieties of La Street Tacos, Italian and Columbian eats. Very warm location. Family orientated. You can feel it when walking around inside. Kids and their parents having a good time. Restrooms is clean and service is friendly. This place also has a bar you can chill and relax. Such mixture and variety of people. I recommend this place. Plenty of eats and sittings for a get together. Plenty of parking but can be crowded at peak times. Good luck on parking. Places similar to Rodeo 39 from experience is LBX in Long Beach, NORTHGATE in Costa Mesa. I recommend to visit and eat! :)

this was the first rodeo i ever attended so my comments are kind of limited, that said, this is the…read morebest rodeo in the world. easy drive from san diego but buy tickets in advance, this sells out! we had a nice chat with a couple while eating our homemade chili, the woman was a barrel racer and the guy was a bronc-rider, both were really nice and explained to us about the rodeo circuit and what they do - there is a cattle call "queen" and "princess" both of whom we thought would be pageant-y and walk out on gowns and wave to the folks - little did we know that they would come tearing out of a gate and demonstrate their insane riding abilities. one of the best parts of cattle call besides the proximity to san diego and the unique opportunity to experience a pretty unique culture is that it is a total family affair - there's good food, a chili cook-off and contest related to the cattle call and the entire community is into it. we can't wait until 2008

We watched other patrons enter, but when it was our turn, our group was singled out and treated differently. The interaction left us feeling that we were being judged and treated unfairly because of our ethnicity. It felt racially motivated, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. No customer should leave a business feeling targeted or unwelcome. I hope management reviews the conduct of its security staff and ensures that all guests are treated with the same respect and fairness. Based on this experience, I will not be returning

We arrived early, yet many tables were being saved for people who hadn't even arrived, leaving paying customers who arrived early with nowhere to sit. I asked for a manager's assistance and was told there was no policy against saving seats. Although I was told someone would come help at least find 1 seat so I can sit and enjoy dinner and the game at game time, no one ever did. As the evening went on, people brought in lawn chairs, oversized bags from the grocery store with alcohol, and created their own seating areas with little to no oversight. For a heavily promoted event with a large crowd and alcohol being served, I expected visible management and better crowd control. Instead, I was told the manager had taken the day off to watch the game at home. Leadership sets the tone. When there is a lack of structure, people create their own rules. Structure and set rules can create a more orderly environment that may provide a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for everyone. The evening ended with the TV glitching out in the final few minutes of the game crowd started chanting and complaining then a large fight. During the fight a gun was drawn, people panicked, running and pushing to get out. It was a frightening and chaotic situation. I hope Rodeo X uses this as an opportunity to strengthen its leadership, crowd management, and planning for future large events. I genuinely felt bad for the relatively young employees. They were polite and appeared to be doing their best while managing a packed venue and a bar with a 45-minute wait just to order a drink. They shouldn't have been put in that position without experienced leadership and adequate support during such a large, heavily promoted event. Lastly, I want to give a heartfelt shout-out to the Ontario police officers who responded so quickly. They were able to detain the gunman and others involved in the fight. Their swift response brought a sense of calm to a frightening situation and allowed me to leave feeling much safer.

I got sick to my stomach seeing the way they abused those poor animals this abusive practice has to be made illegal, while the tortured animal is suffering pain on the ground People are clapping and laughing. After seeing calf roping from the neck and polled the calf twisted the neck flipped up on the air falling and dragged on its back I left immediately, I will send a letter to Congress and animal protection activist this abuse must stop. This is a great event for the whole family. All types of people. All races, real cowboys, city cowboys, and people just there to have a good time. It's even fun to dress up. People are very nice. And no one wants any trouble. Lots of sheriffs. That's ok they keep to them selfs. Mostly you see explorer scouts and they are very nice. There is lots of food to buy. But, bring cash. Even for parking - cash only. To end it was a blast.
