I have been going to Ramos Pain Management for about 2 years. I just recently had a lumbar epidural steroid injection on both sides of the bottom of my back - prior to this procedure, my pain kept me from walking, standing, cooking, sleeping in the bed and i had to hire a lady to clean my house. I literally could do nothing, except sit in a recliner. After Dr. Ramos gave me this injection, by that night i was pain free and remain pain free. Temporarily i have my life back until i will need another injection. But at least no surgery yet! I highly recommend Dr. Ramos - he was so kind to me! ​​ read more

I am a patient there (maybe not for long). I am in terrible pain and have been trying to reach someone at their office for 3 days. Every time I call their office, I end up going into their voicemail, which says someone will call you back in 24 hours. However, they do not! Even my Primary Care Doctor could not reach anyone there. And only get their run-around voicemail system. Terribly unprofessional. Interesting, after I posted this, you are suddenly responding? My last name is Johnson, as in David Johnson, and if you really wanted to contact me, then check your patient portal. I have sent several messages there. They assured me on phone of what they treat. placed me with a Dr who was supposed to do a certain procedure. I get in office and guess what he doesn't. They tried to get me to schedule with another Dr for the procedure I needed without meeting him because I complained me about a wasted visit. Will never trust this company. read more

my review is based off the staff. unfortunately I never got to see the Dr due to poor communication. I was lied to multiple times by them and I had a referral sent in almost a month ago and still have not been scheduled, not even a call. I have had to call them every time only for them to tell me they haven't received my referral which is a straight up lie, multiple times. First, if they had zeros, that's what they would be given! My husband had an appointment in April and he wasn't feeling well. so I tried calling 3 days in advance to cancel his appointment with NO luck or response (very frustrating) especially when you're trying to do the right thing!! So, I finally went to their office on my lunch break and spoke with the lovely receptionist. It's a shame people go through this frustration over your lack of "Customer Service". It's a shame you can't give the time of day to your patients who depend on you and the advice you give them. Because of your lack of communication and lack of customers skills there is NO MORE TRUST!! Secondly, what do you think injection after injection is the answer??? No, you're not sure!!!!!! You said if this doesn't work we will try another one in 2 weeks. besides having an injection prior to this. So, let's do 4 injections in a matter of 4 months. Not a chance!!!! I'm convinced this place is an injection factory with NO customer service and skills and all out for $$$. You should really consider Customer Service and training courses , mostly with your phone operations and Doctors bedside manners smh. With all the $$$ their bringing in off of injections they should be able to afford training. Some Doctors could stand a training course as well in how to give patients the respect they deserve. Worse care I have ever received in my life. They don't care about their patients. They don't listen to you. I just moved here and have been in pain management since 2018 for spine disease requiring multiple surgeries. I have given them multiple chances until they did the wrong procedure on me. STAY AWAY!!!! Save yourself a lot of pain and headaches. They don't manage pain, and don't care if you suffer. Good luck if you call them as it takes days for a returned call regardless of the situation. You go in and tell them your pain is a ten and they tell you they can give you a shot in two weeks. No short term solution. Then when you get frustrated with them, it is micro aggression and asked not to yell at them. I NEVER raised my voice. It is like a nightmare you can't wake up. read more

DON'T GO HERE! Here are at least 6 reasons. I went with my husband for an appointment here and they scheduled his procedure for next Friday. (He has shrapnel all over his spine from an explosion in Vietnam and needs these procedures periodically) The PA said they would send his pharmacy a prescription electronically to help calm him because his last procedure was so painful and he was given nothing to help. First, he office girl would not take our new supplemental insurance information. Said he would have to call billing. Second, the prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. Third, billing would never call him back after he left a message 4 times over the next 3 days.. Fourth, the day before the procedure he drove to the office and told them there was no prescription at the pharmacy. They said don't worry about it... we will put it in your IV before the procedure. Fifth, the day of the procedure I insisted that the girl at the front desk take his new insurance info because billing won't answer the phone. She finally agreed. Sixth, We also reminded them that they said he would receive a medication in his IV... They said "you are not getting an IV and you'll have to reschedule if you want an IV" . No much incompetence at Ramos!!!! We looked at each other and said "WE ARE OUT OF HERE"! My husband and I have never been so much "on the same Page" as we were that day. WE left and won't go back. There are other doctors and we will find one. How can Ramos treat people so in need of there help due to to extreme pain this way???? No compassion or help for others that need them! read more

Unprofessional and Uncompassionate Experience! I waited a week for their office to schedule my appointment (referred by an orthopedic specialist) and then an additional 2-weeks for the actual visit. On the day of my appointment, I faced heavy traffic due to an accident, which turned a 12-mile drive into an hour-long ordeal. Despite completing the intake form in advance, I arrived at 3:01 PM for my 3:00 PM appointment and was told by the receptionist that they couldn't take me. One minute late and they refused service? Absolutely unacceptable. I will never return and strongly urge other patients to beware of their lack of understanding and inflexibility. read more

Do not go here! They do not prescribe opioids even if you have imaging of your ailment. They only do the risky ineffective procedures. They do not seem interested in actually helping and make everything as difficult as possible. The nurse Yolanda was the worst. Every-time I asked for something she seemed to get off on telling me no. These people have no compassion or empathy for people suffering. You get drug tested on your first appointment like some common criminal. Then they still won't give you the pain relief medication that actually works. It's a gimmick clinic, please avoid at all costs. read more

Venice location has been great so far. Alexa Nappi, PA has been helpful, listens and is kind. Had steroid shots from Dr. Smith before & Dr. Ramos now, and they have helped my back pain A LOT. I also had a great experience talking with one of the on call nurses. Receptionists and check in staff have been nice. Never had to wait too long for an appointment. Although nothing can really take away all of my back pain, overall I've been very pleased. It's made a big difference in my ability to concentrate at work with less pain and I can walk more. read more

This was my second visit to see Dr. Ramos. I was scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. injection and didn't see him until 3 hours after I arrived. Apparently they over booked?? When the tech took me back he hardly said a word to me. Even before the Dr. came in I was apprehensive. Finally, Dr. Ramos arrived, I never saw his face nor did I talk to him. The entire procedure took less than 10 minutes. When the injection was over he slipped out of the room before I even knew it. The tech rattled off a few aftercare instructions but it was hard to understand him. My first visit was actually the same. The Doctor and the nurse talked between themselves never once addressing me personally. I was given a piece of paper and sent on my way. I felt unseen and un-acknowledged. I imagine that this is how cattle feel before the slaughter. read more

I must agree with Linda E. DO NOT GO HERE !! I have been dealing with this group for nearly a year. I have gone through a series of epidural blocks and 2 RFAs (radio frequency ablasions). I have had ZERO positive results from the procedures while putting up with poor service and poor attitudes in the hope that I would get some relief from severe lumbar foraminal stenosis. I have often waited an hour or more after my appointment times to be seen and I have driven to appointments that they rescheduled and/or cancelled without even notifying me. Even some of their front office staff have agreed that the service here is terrible. My appointment on 5/24/2025 was a total "bust." The medical assistant was rude and showed absolutely no compassion for me as the patient. When I Iasked a question she bluntly told me she only wants me to answer HER questions. When I asked a question again she slammed her laptop shut, stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind her. When the Dr came in with another assistant I told him what had just happened and his response was that the medical assistant told him I was rude to her and they don't tolerate that. My response was that I was not rude and I don't tolerate being treated so poorly as the patient. He did not even ask about my interaction with the medical assistant but instead defended her without hearing me out. At that point I basically "fired" this outfit and walked out of the office with no intention of ever returning. It is my opinion that this is a poorly run and dispassionate practice that did not put me, as the patient, as their priority. The Dr did not even attempt to salvage the situation. I say again, DO NOT GO HERE. You will be both frustrated and disappointed. Read the other reviews and you'll understand why this outfit has such a dismal rating. read more

Dr. Benson is ruff and hurt me. I had a major surgery recently and he physically reemed /twisted me on his quick assessment. Rude because my pain was not triggered by touch. Barely asked me any questions. I would never see him ever again. I was appalled by his manners and may cancel all appointments with this center. Very poor care. If you are like many who come to this clinic for pain relief, and get it, you are in the minority. My first few RFA's and Steroid Injections went fine until one day two years ago, Dr. Fabian Ramos nicked a nerve in my back while giving me an epidural steroid shot he was not supposed to hit. When I woke up in recovery, I told them my leg is numb and I was told oh don't worry it will go away in a couple days. I now have a permanent injury created by him and not a word of apology or here's what we can do to try and fix that. When I brought this to the attention of my Nurse, she immediately played it down and then began canceling my appointments claiming they were mis-scheduled and to make things worse, padded my medical records with bogus schedule #1 Opioid Regimen use with no medical documentation to back it up. If you are a Veteran, don't believe what their Veteran statement page claims. It is far from that. You cannot trust any staff member at this clinic as they cover for each other and doctor your notes to cover up their mistakes. If you ever complain with them, and then suddenly your appointments keep getting canceled due to mis-scheduling's, you've been blackballed and red flagged. This clinic has mastered the loop hole of weaponizing the appointment process if they want to run you out as a patient. I also tell people to open up your patient portal account and make sure you read all your appointment notes. This is where you will find the inaccurate notes or bogus medications and can challenge them. Nurses and Dr's often do make mistakes but when you bring them to there attention and they then double down to throw you under the bus, they should be shut down as they are not upholding their oath to their profession, the community, its patient's and Veterans. This clinic also violated my HIPAA patient rights 5 times. As things got worse I filed a complaint with the Florida Dept. of Health on the two nurses and Doctors responsible. There is currently as of this posting an open ongoing investigation on Dr. Fabian Ramos and one other Dr. with the Florida Dept of Health's Prosecution Services Division. If you decide to go here, you only have yourself to blame if it goes south. I also have many clinic provided documents in their own notes claiming I was on a Scedule #1 Opioid Regimen which I have never been on. These falsified notes were inserted by Nurse Janine Zacaggino and Nurse Chad Henderson and a customer service rep said this was done on purpose and has been done to other patients in the past. I have passed every one of my drug screenings for years, never received a script for an opioid regimen, there are no notes in any medical records indicating this either yet they inserted this falsified note in my file after I brought to their attention the permanent injury Dr. Fabian Ramos created and then cancelled my appointments to run me out. Three in one month. Good pain clinics are hard enough to come by but when you leave a clinic in more pain and with a permanent injury the Dr there created, it's time to leave so I did then they blackballed my records with a new clinic who refused to treat me based upon the notes the Ramos Clinic inserted so people, I cannot stress this enough, these reviews are here for a reason and when the negative reviews out weigh the positive, take it as a sign this is not the place to go to for your pain relief. I have been coming to the Ramos Pain Management Center for years. I have severe scoliosis and arthritis. The treatments helped me a great deal... but I have been suffering from the most severe pain in my left hip with pain shooting down to my foot... just a nightmare. The pills they prescribed are not helping... I have asked them so many times for help... they sent me for an x-ray to look at my hip weeks ago, and agreed it was severe bone on bone arthritis, but won't help me manage the pain and I don't know why. I am feeling desperate, the pain is so bad... but, they won't help me any more. I don't understand what I did that has caused them to not help me. read more

I've been a patient at Ramos for years. The Bradenton office has historically had issues retaining people which typically doesn't concern me but when I can't get my perscriptions filled it's an issue. I've been calling the office since7/21 with NO CALL BACK. on 7/25 after the 5th call to the office I spoke to a live person but I was told it'll be a day or so to have perscriptions sent over to the Pharamacy it has been going to for 5 years. On top of that the person I spoke to could have cared less that I was out of medication or that I had to delay a business trip because I couldn't get my medications refilled. Completely unacceptable What has to happen for Ramos center to do the right thing? read more

Their Dr.'s are great, their prcedures are affective, but on 3 occasions my appt.'s have been 30 or more minutes late when having a major procedure done. The latest procedure I was prepped and they took 2 other patients before me which made me lose my medical ride home. read more
