I used to be able to communicate with my doctor and other staff members. Now I have to contend with a call center. These people know nothing about the Bradenton Florida facility. It has taken over a year for a simple billing issue to be addressed (still not resolved). A few weeks ago I called again to request a meeting with the office manager, Christopher Simmons. I was told that Mr. Simmons doesn't meet with patients. This was the final straw. I am looking for a new provider. I am disappointed because I have been extremely pleased with my doctor, Camille Kasten. However, I can no longer deal with the incompetence of the other staff members.

The office staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Love that they get you in right on time for your appointment and the wait times are not long. They even have telepath appointments where you don't have to go to the office, merely FaceTime with the doctor. Dr. Sterk is absolutely AMAZING!! He is so patient and easy to talk to. He's dedicated to his patients and their healing. Dr. Sterk takes the time to listen to his patients and wants them to be healthy. He's worked with me in taking me completely off of my blood pressure meds. And ensuring I'm taking the proper vitamins for bone health, etc. I didn't even know that he's also an Osteopath who can manipulate the spine. I was in for my last appointment and woke up with a bad headache that morning. He took me back to a room that had a chiropractic type chair where he had me lay down and worked on my neck. After his manipulation to my neck, my headache was immediately gone! I absolutely appreciate him as my doctor and know that I'm in good hands with his care! I HIGHLY recommend him! I was assigned this doctors office, Dr. Peterson's office at immediate…read morecare, and I had a detached retina and attempted to get an appointment for a referral which is required by my insurance with a very dangerous situation. Their office told me they cannot get me in for nine months!! That's right nine months. The receptionist was absolutely rude And gave zero advice and frankly I believe it's because my insurance company is Humana and they probably don't pay as well as some of the other insurance companies. This group should be ashamed of themselves as my eyesight is extremely important to me, and this group refused to get me in or even do a Teladoc appointment to give me a referral to a retinal specialist, shame on them!!! Selfish, greedy and unresponsive, and I have reported them to Humana!

Dr very nice and sweet but asks leading questions when given a sample of the brand name and a generic prescription for migraines, she asks if the brand name works? I said "yes it does" so she only documents that in the progress note and nothing about the generic that she already gave me 36 pills for prior, so THAT is why the nurse tech assumed correctly that when I called for my migraine medication refilled, she initiated a request for the brand name medication I had only 2 sample pills of prior. This then began a long insurance process unbeknownst to both myself and the Dr, however, when I asked to cancel the prior auth for the brand name and just refill my generic migraine meds, he continues to say he will "put a request in and ask the doctor for a recommendation". I explained that's what I had been advocating for & that it's been 3 weeks of back and forth phone calls while I'm working with these debilitating migraines. The office manager states that he "doesn't know what I want" and he will be discharging me with a 30-day prescription for the generic migraine meds I INITIALLY ASKED HIM FOR at the beginning of this 20-min conversation. Will try to push the prescription name brands of medications just to receive a kickback even at the expense of the patient. Shameful. I profusely THANKED him for doing the wow-so-difficult service of sending my prescription migraine medication so I can stop this pounding in my head and not have to jump through hoops because his nurse tech "didn't know" better. The patient is suffering and their lack of care and regard to save face and ego is shameful.
