Do not go here! They do not prescribe opioids even if you have imaging of your ailment. They only do the risky ineffective procedures. This was my second visit to see Dr. Ramos. I was scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. injection and didn't see him until 3 hours after I arrived. Apparently they over booked?? When the tech took me back he hardly said a word to me. Even before the Dr. came in I was apprehensive. Finally, Dr. Ramos arrived, I never saw his face nor did I talk to him. The entire procedure took less than 10 minutes. When the injection was over he slipped out of the room before I even knew it. The tech rattled off a few aftercare instructions but it was hard to understand him. My first visit was actually the same. The Doctor and the nurse talked between themselves never once addressing me personally. I was given a piece of paper and sent on my way. I felt unseen and un-acknowledged. I must agree with Linda E. DO NOT GO HERE !! I have been dealing with this group for nearly a year. I have gone through a series of epidural blocks and 2 RFAs (radio frequency ablasions). I have had ZERO positive results from the procedures while putting up with poor service and poor attitudes in the hope that I would get some relief from severe lumbar foraminal stenosis. I have often waited an hour or more after my appointment times to be seen and I have driven to appointments that they rescheduled and/or cancelled without even notifying me. Even some of their front office staff have agreed that the service here is terrible. My appointment on 5/24/2025 was a total "bust." The medical assistant was rude and showed absolutely no compassion for me as the patient. When I Iasked a question she bluntly told me she only wants me to answer HER questions. When I asked a question again she slammed her laptop shut, stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind her. When the Dr came in with another assistant I told him what had just happened and his response was that the medical assistant told him I was rude to her and they don't tolerate that. My response was that I was not rude and I don't tolerate being treated so poorly as the patient. He did not even ask about my interaction with the medical assistant but instead defended her without hearing me out. At that point I basically "fired" this outfit and walked out of the office with no intention of ever returning. It is my opinion that this is a poorly run and dispassionate practice that did not put me, as the patient, as their priority. The Dr did not even attempt to salvage the situation. If you are like many who come to this clinic for pain relief, and get it, you are in the minority. My first few RFA's and Steroid Injections went fine until one day two years ago, Dr. Fabian Ramos nicked a nerve in my back while giving me an epidural steroid shot he was not supposed to hit. When I woke up in recovery, I told them my leg is numb and I was told oh don't worry it will go away in a couple days. I now have a permanent injury created by him and not a word of apology or here's what we can do to try and fix that. When I brought this to the attention of my Nurse, she immediately played it down and then began canceling my appointments claiming they were mis-scheduled and to make things worse, padded my medical records with bogus schedule #1 Opioid Regimen use with no medical documentation to back it up. If you are a Veteran, don't believe what their Veteran statement page claims. It is far from that. You cannot trust any staff member at this clinic as they cover for each other and doctor your notes to cover up their mistakes. If you ever complain with them, and then suddenly your appointments keep getting canceled due to mis-scheduling's, you've been blackballed and red flagged. This clinic has mastered the loop hole of weaponizing the appointment process if they want to run you out as a patient. I also tell people to open up your patient portal account and make sure you read all your appointment notes. This is where you will find the inaccurate notes or bogus medications and can challenge them. Nurses and Dr's often do make mistakes but when you bring them to there attention and they then double down to throw you under the bus, they should be shut down as they are not upholding their oath to their profession, the community, its patient's and Veterans. This clinic also violated my HIPAA patient rights 5 times. As things got worse I filed a complaint with the Florida Dept. of Health on the two nurses and Doctors responsible. There is currently as of this posting an open ongoing investigation on Dr. Fabian Ramos and one other Dr. with the Florida Dept of Health's Prosecution Services Division. If you decide to go here, you only have yourself to blame if it goes south. I also have many clinic provided documents in their own notes claiming I was on a Scedule #1 Opioid Regimen which I have never been on. These falsified notes were inserted by Nurse Janine Zacaggino and Nurse Chad Henderson and a customer service rep said this was done on purpose and has been done to other patients in the past. I have passed every one of my drug screenings for years, never received a script for an opioid regimen, there are no notes in any medical records indicating this either yet they inserted this falsified note in my file after I brought to their attention the permanent injury Dr. Fabian Ramos created and then cancelled my appointments to run me out. Three in one month. Good pain clinics are hard enough to come by but when you leave a clinic in more pain and with a permanent injury the Dr there created, it's time to leave so I did then they blackballed my records with a new clinic who refused to treat me based upon the notes the Ramos Clinic inserted so people, I cannot stress this enough, these reviews are here for a reason and when the negative reviews out weigh the positive, take it as a sign this is not the place to go to for your pain relief. I have been coming to the Ramos Pain Management Center for years. I have severe scoliosis and arthritis. The treatments helped me a great deal... but I have been suffering from the most severe pain in my left hip with pain shooting down to my foot... just a nightmare. The pills they prescribed are not helping... I have asked them so many times for help... they sent me for an x-ray to look at my hip weeks ago, and agreed it was severe bone on bone arthritis, but won't help me manage the pain and I don't know why. I am feeling desperate, the pain is so bad... but, they won't help me any more. I don't understand what I did that has caused them to not help me. read more

I've been a patient at Ramos for years. The Bradenton office has historically had issues retaining people which typically doesn't concern me but when I can't get my perscriptions filled it's an issue. I've been calling the office since7/21 with NO CALL BACK. on 7/25 after the 5th call to the office I spoke to a live person but I was told it'll be a day or so to have perscriptions sent over to the Pharamacy it has been going to for 5 years. On top of that the person I spoke to could have cared less that I was out of medication or that I had to delay a business trip because I couldn't get my medications refilled. Stay away from their PT. Their evaluation process is totally unprofessional. Justin sat with a legal pad full of scribbles and assessed me in 15 mins. Sessions were very basic and blamed me for any lack of improvement. The assigned exercises continued to aggravate my issues. Milked me for my insurance sessions and then released me when my sessions ran out. The sole purpose of the practice is to maximize your insurance plan, then they discharge you. Any questions during sessions are answered with arrogance. I then followed with TOTAL THERAPY, who listened and genially helped me with my issues. read more

We live in Orlando and reached out to their St Pete location on a referral only to be told a week later (after setting my husband up with an appointment) that they'd have to cancel because Dr. Shroyer doesn't accept patients that live 2 hours away! I've never heard of a doctor, or frankly any business, that only accepts local clients. Their crazy requirement needs to be on their site and why not just market to those in a 10 mile radius of the clinics? Can you imagine any reputable medical professional refusing a potential patient because they live outside their community? What if they had to travel because they live somewhere with no specialists nearby? Tough luck, i suppose. I spoke to a doctor recently that proudly told me he sees patients that fly in to see him from Hong Kong! Dear Ramos Center- Patients and customers who have the financial means will and do travel to wherever and see whoever they feel will best take care them. It's 2024 - it should always be the patients choice as to where they want to travel to and whom they wish to see for healthcare. I am extremely disappointed in Ramo's pain center. I went in for sciatic pain and was told I would need to have three procedures, one month apart, after my second procedure the pain was worse than when I first went in, it flares up constantly throughout the day and is more intense than when I first started. I called to ask for some kind of topical relief, like a lidocaine cream, just to help with some relief, but they never called back when they promised to, I called them back only to be told that I needed to come in for another visit for consultation which is very difficult for me because of transportation problems. They seemed to have a deaf ear when I tried to explain I just wanted some topical cream for relief. I will not go back there again and I found a great doctor in Sarasota to help me. I guess that their understanding of a pain center is to cause more pain read more

Gave one star - should be none. Came from a state with excellent healthcare and providers and have been very happy with our family doctor here and have given him an excellent review. Now permanent residents. To summarize - 75 year old husband who has had more than a dozen ortho surgeries - the last being 2 part - total spine and neck surgery. Physical labor his entire life and not a complainer. Family noticed how him going downhill and spending most of his time in bed - so we asked for a referral to a pain center. We knew due to the last surgery he will have to live with pain-his spine surgery was so complicated we were promised only that he was saved from a wheelchair. He cannot take anything with codeine or hard narcotics but what has made him somewhat comfortable is 800 mg IB and an occasional Tramadol for really bad spells - did not want to bother our family physician with this serious and time consuming appointment so asked and got a referral - his second choice as the first doctor not taking new patients. Horrid experience at Ramos. I came fully prepared with records including surgery reports and a current back X-ray showing severe damage. Dealt with 3 people - each one was inconsiderate and uninformed. 1. Receptionist - little to do since in a time frame of 3 hours waiting she would only slide the door open when she needed something or when I went to make an inquiry. We signed in at 12:15 for a 12:30 appointment. Got a dozen pages to complete - did it and turned in - kept being told the doctor would be with us shortly - and sat from 12:30-2:50 before being called back. So hard for husband to endure but he did. She didn't notice discrepancy? 2. Nurse or assistant or whatever - started by collecting a ton of info I already submitted and she could see on the paperwork I turned in. I asked her if it was typical to wait so long and she said "You didn't - your appointment was 2:30. I told her a phone call and confirmation said our appointment was 12:30 - she said she did not know anything about that. Then she took his bp and announced it was in the 140's. I told her that he usually runs low, and the only accurate reading is with the cuff. She said they did not have one. I asked her to take a pulse oximeter reading and she said she did not have one. Totally rude tone. 3. Doctor came in and started from the beginning. Pleasant to begin with. We gave him all the info again and he had clearly not reviewed any of the reports I submitted or filled out in the office. He looked at the scars on husbands neck only and asked to see his legs. He was cordial but clearly did not listen. I explained to him that husband cannot be made better and has no strength or ability to walk - also has tremors and permanent Bells Palsy and I said our only interest was in making him comfortable and we could come in as often as he needs but that we only care about quality of his life. He immediately jumped to ordering several MRI's and expensive tests and said he should begin back and neck injections (despite all of the hardware he has from head to toe) - we said injections in the past did no good and he is not capable of pt. He then changed and said he only write prescriptions for those who agree to injections or therapy. Made us feel as though we were drug seeking - for IB? This office is incompetent and uncaring from scheduling, staff, and equipment. 3 patients seen in a matter of 3 hours - not a busy office - but they have no time to listen or read. Left feeling we had been lectured and insulted and waited enough. Left with the feeling it is a money making operation that orders tests and wants to set up ongoing worthless plans and has no sympathy for an individual. If you are looking for organization, competence, caring and someone to simply manage your pain with a mild prescription do NOT go here. read more

My experience with Dr. D'Auria and the staff (Patricia, Tatika, and Louis) was outstanding. I've been dealing with degenerative disc disease and herniated discs since I was 27. I have undergone 5 back surgeries, and have been in pain every day for the last 8 years. I've had multiple steroid injection, but the two I received from Dr. D'Auria have been the most effective. They were also really helpful with helping me complete the paperwork I needed to have done for work. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for relief because it helped me. :) read more

I had 8 procedures at Ramos Center in Dunedin & St Pete...was making great progress until a complication I was never informed that there is NO MD ON CALL AFTER HOURS OR WEEKENDS...ER dept treated immediate situation and I was advised to seek treatment elsewhere...the central call number at Ramos is a joke and finally after calling for two days when I managed to talk with someone a so called "triage nurse"read a litany of Ramos Center staffing issues & then became abusive with her tone...this is from an established patient, who made great progress getting treated like crap...very very disappointing...still not one call from my treating MD...go elsewhere... read more

i was refered to spine care facility ramos pain center. almost 3 months i had to fight calling ,leaving messages, and waiting sometime for days to get answer from nurses, telling me that i should get this or that medicine, but none help. i have now about 6 kind of aspirin like medications.today i could not make it to bathroom. my pain is horrific; i can not walk. i leave alone,and for 2 days i could not get anything to eat, although my kitchen is across my bedroom.the neurosurgent doctors are book for at least 1 months. i wish people in ramos told me to book vist with professional doctor month ago.most of people working there are rude,ignorant and unprofessional.one person told me over the phone that just because i ask for medicine, it does not mean i will get it.they do yell, and a lot of times just hang up the phone.i do wonder if this is usa 21 century? 6 times i beg for help to book visit with doctor who can help, but i was told to look for it myself, the time that i can not see strait from pain.please do not look for help with spine pain in this place. read more

New St Pete office. Spouse visited and from the first visit on it was a mess. Seems only interested in billable conversation and not answering questions. We followed all of the "required" necessary and ended up without any answers unless another visit was made without the basic information and questions from the first visit answered. They care and it shows in many ways: quick in and out, ensuring my comfort through what could prove to be a painful treatment, but other than a momentary prick or two of needles, it wasn't. Tresting pain is a difficult science. I have been suffering with degenerative diisc in my back and have been treated by a wonderful doctor up north. There are very few options for this problem so I ger trigger point injections when things flare up. Being a snowbird I wanted to find a doctor in the Sarasota area that I could be treated by. I did some research and could not find anyone who got great reviews. I decided to try the Ramos center . I was directed to Dr. Fura . i got an office visit after 3 tries with the call center i was impressed with him, he gave me a full interview and discussed options my back flared up and I did go in for a procedure similar to what I got up north. I get the impression that most medicine in Florida is driven by big business. And most physicians who accept Medicare have to find a way to get larger payment. however the procedure he gave me helped me tremendously. i highly recommend Dr. Fura for his knowledge and experience, but Like they say. Let the Buyer Beware when it comes to financial issues and insurance. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, stay FAR away from this horrible place if you're young and not above 50yrs of age. Dr Raymos, is doing injections all day, and you might see him for 3 mins if he gives you that time. Now I am going to tell/inform you on my case and how much these people don't care or want to treat pain, and just want to keep giving you injections and taking your money by adding up co-pays and billing insurance for thousands. Background about me, I am a full time teacher at the age of 25. I got into a major car accident last year which led me to 56 breaks all over my body. Now I healed from months of physical therapy to the best my body could, and I also do other things like deep tissue massages so I am trying many sources to get back to low pain. The issue is i have hardware (pins holding a rod) around the nerve in my knee which is extremely painful but worse at times. The way this center wants to solve this is Kenalog injections every few months and pills that are useless, and above all else tropical cream. I know how bad these injections are for your body, and will make my joint weaker and more painful in the future as my body gets use to them... multiple doctors of mine say stay away from this.... The Raymose center does not care about this at all. The nurses there are sweethearts, and see how much pain I'm in, and gave me hope that he will treat this pain. Now for the members of his "team".. Dr Benson, he is extremely nice, but will not listen for more than 2 mins to you. It's like they want to rush you out as fast as they can, but they also rush the $300 insurance bill as well per checkups that some I don't even want. I told him the NSAIDS and cream- yes no joke they want to use a tropical cream to treat almost all injuries, are not working. I know I will be in pain forever, and I'm fine with that, but I wanted hydrocodone 5mg about 28 pills for a year, for the bad days I'm in extreme pain and can't walk without limping. That's like 2 pills a month, how would anyone abuse that... I'm not sure seeming I'm not asking for refills and made it clear that It can be monitored very close... I been on hydrocodone before in the hospital and know it works with no side effects for me. I was hoping NSAIDS would work, and tried 4 of them with no luck. So seeming Dr Benson would do these "video calls" from Covid-19 an hour late and see me for no joke- I timed it 47 secs... I tried to express the intervention wasn't working, but he didn't listen or care and kept giving me NSAIDS and cream that made me sick and didn't work. Also another side note about him, after an injection pain came back a month later, and I as I talked to the nurse as they listen in on you in the background, I said maybe it wasn't done correct as he screams out impossible. Well sorry I am in pain, and not sure why it came back fast and was just asking... Finally I got fed up and said let me see someone else as I tried to express my feelings to Raymose during my last injection, he said he would work with me on the bad days.... I see the nurse practitioner who is part of his team of doctors.... Maybe she gave me 5 mins, than she rushed me out. She wanted to give me a tens box on my knee.... I'm a teacher.... I don't want to be hooked up on me knee walking in school all day getting shocked. So she said she would ask Raymose if she could use hydrocodone... A week goes by with no word, I call them back and they inform me Dr Raymos who said he would work with me for the bad days, said no to pain pills..... At this point I realized how much money they stole, how much they don't care about patients who are young "no joke one of the nurses gave the excuse that we grow cells faster" and that's the full reason we don't get treated as elders, even if we are in pain. They want to rush to see you, rush you out, rush to bill you and repeat. I hope this place gets shut down after looking at the other stories which are sad on how they dope elderly up and don't tapper them off. I know what it's like and the risk/power of these pills after the crash. It's so sad because maybe they cared at one point and lost there way. It just sucks because I'm still in pain, and have to find a doctor who cares. If you are reading this Dr Raymos, thank you for seeing me and being kind. This is the sad truth I tried to express to you in the few mins you let me talk to you, and I hope no one has to deal with this place. I'm just lucky I had other Drs who told me I'm destroying my body with these injections you give. I don't want to be in more pain as I get older, and need to find someone who will help me during those 3-5 days I'm in serious pain a month. read more

Recently, I posted a negative review of the Ramos Center because one of the practitioners refused to refill a prescription for pain medication. Although the reason for her decision was based on her sincere concern for me as a patient, I was upset that she wanted me to cold turkey off my pain medication even though I was in dire pain. There was no way for her to know that my pain was caused by the inability to urinate and possible bladder stones or bladder cancer. I didn't even know that until I saw a urologist. I have to admit that the practitioner had a legitimate concern... she was concerned about an interaction between my pain medication and my sleep medication. Furthermore, I just received a letter from a member of the Ramos Center apologizing for the misunderstanding and attempting to help me with my pain. I am scheduled for a cystoscopy tomorrow, and at this point in time, I no longer need the services of the Ramos Center. After seeing several physicians who either had never treated or were not familiar with this condition, I made an appointment at The Ramos center. The staff were very professional and Dr Fura was both knowledgable and highly effective in helping me. I have a Ph.D. degree in psychophysiology, many courses toward an MD degree and I have taught at three medical schools. I know highly competent when I encounter it. I moved to Florida recently. Unfortunately it was during covid so it's been hard to find Dr's. After monthsand months I finally got a referral for my back. (I've lived with chronic pain since 15 yrs old and I'm 62.) I was referred to Ramos clinic. My first visit wasn't great. I waited 2 hrs. To talk to a Dr for 10 minutes, during which time she was interrupted once and left the room once. She determined through my records what I had told them is I had great luck with spinal ablasion. So she sent me for an MRI and scheduled me for an appt the following Monday to do a spinal epidural to mak sure the ablasion would work. Did the MRI. They called and cancelled appt for epidural but rescheduled for later. I was happy but still wondering what MRI showed. I figured I would hear when Dr did my back on Friday. I got there at 620 am my appt time. Went in got an IV was taken back to procedure room where a different Dr I had never met came in. She said they were ready to put me to sleep and they did. When I woke up a nurse asked me if I wanted something to drink ND gave me water and a piece of paper and told me to call a number after 3 hrs. She put me in my car without another word. So later I called the number. No answer. Called again. Left msg. Called again. No answer. Left msg. No one ever called. Not Friday, not Saturday another Sunday not Monday. I called again on Monday, again no answer,, again I left a msg. Finally someone called me! Only for her to say that Dr Ramos said HE did want to continue with me because my pain wasn't ZERO! First my Dr was a woman both the one I saw and the one I never met or even knew the name of that did the procedure! When I pointed this out to the person who called me they hung up on me! Really?! 4 days! 4days post procedure I still hadn't gotten any information about my procedure or my MRI. So I called again on Tuesday 5 days post procedure. I got another call from the same woman I spoke to on Monday and still received no information. I'm one week post procedure and still have no answers. OMG! Dr. Ramos, thank you so much! To be without pain is truly incredible. Beats a 6 hour surgery and 2 months recuperation!

I made the mistake of making an appointment at Ramos Center for Interventional pain. The doctor I saw was John D'Auria. He was absolutely horrible. During my initial intake I was at the office 3.5 hrs. 3 hrs of that was waiting for the doctor. When I finally did see the doctor was was rude, abrupt, didn't listen to a word I said, He has no people skills and no bedside manor. I was scheduled for a series of spine injections (by the scheuling dept) with doctor D'Auria. My procedure was at 11 am. I arrived at 10:45. After waiting 2 hrs, 15 min. I was taken back to the procedure room. I was told the procedure would be 60 minutes. I was out of the procedure room in less than 15 minutes and left in a hallway to be picked up. Clearly the doctor was triple booked and running behind. I certainly question the accuracy of the injections being the procedure usually takes 60 minutes and I was put under injected and left in a wheel chair in 15. read more
