Owners will not do an addendum - they said I have to wait until my lease is up to have it lowered. Also, the girl who told me the story about the top floor being at a higher rate no longer works there and the current people who work there said they don't know why I was told that as the reason for rent being higher. The apartment interior is very outdated, minimal was done to make it move-in ready. Subflooring and carpet should have been replaced - several areas of subflooring are uneven and dip when walking across the rooms and the carpet is very worn and stretched out/wavy. Fixes were done on the cheap, for example the hole where the deadbolt should have been on the outside storage closet was "fixed" by installing a silver doorknob above the gold one that is the actual doorknob. The main areas such as the breezeways, stairs, outside lighting are dirty and not maintained. When I moved into the apartment, I was told they were going to be pressure washing these areas, but this hasn't happened.

I called them 3 times and everytime they couldn't even locate the papers from the walk through and kept telling me to call back. I finally called and got the owner and he too couldn't find the paperwork and told me not to worry about it, that he would take care of it. Years go by and I hear nothing. I recieve no letter. Then in 2019 I get a report on my credit for $245. I called them and they can't even find the paperwork for that. They told me its the amount they settled for from the $600. So I call the collection agency CBS and im told they will investigate it and if I dont hear anything back or recueve a letter I am good. They never did anything either. There is no reason for me to pay an amount over animals I couldn't even have for damage that never happened. Had they did one walk through while I lived there, they would've known it was just me. Im so disappointed in this company. They are greedy and lie. And I wouldn't recommend anyone to rent from them. Not unless you have a ton of money to blow once you move out. Thanks to them, I have to hold off on purchasing a house. I refuse to pay an amount for something that didn't happen. I've rented under this company for a grand total of something like 15 years now on different…read moreoccasions. The first 10 years or so, they were great. When I needed a place later in life and came back to them, things started great but went downhill fast. They have now enacted policies that they refuse to enforce including parking rules. I've complained since November 2020 with literally nothing done to this day (4/15/22) and most of the time get absolutely no response back at all. They show up without warning asking to see your place (which is illegal under KY law) and I work from home so its a problem and it makes me feel like the guilty one for saying no. So they want you to jump on their time but can't be bothered to answer tenant calls for help. I've never missed a payment in the 6 years or whatever its been in my current spot but get ignore when I just try to follow THEIR own rules. In the last year I've had to call 911 many times after making it my whole life never having to before due to the shady neighbor and drug activity. A neighbor tried to burn down their own neighbor (apartment directly attached to their own cause thats smart) so just to give you an idea of the neighborhoods you'll be dealing with.

Two broken stove burners, a broken washing machine, a dishwasher that doesn't clean anything, lighting fixtures that don't work even after replacing bulbs, a leaking water heater that has grown mold, and not to mention the cracked weather stripping in the doors that make our apartment easily accessible to cockroaches. We pay way too much money to be living somewhere that we can barely use anything properly. If properly taken care of, these rentals would be so work the money that everyone pays to rent.
