Ramshackle has been such a welcome addition to Jonesville! I'm so happy to see they've stayed and found their place downtown. The beer is great and the bar staff are always friendly!

Stopped here on our way home from an antique junket to nearby Allen. Very cool space--a little hole-in-the-wall with vivid murals on the walls and cool people behind the bar. After our very warm welcome, we ordered a tasting flight of 6 beers--everything that was on tap. Most I'd say were just OK. The English Drizzle British IPA was malty as advertised, but underhopped, I thought, even for the style. Most beers didn't have a very distinctive taste. We did like the "That's How We Roll" ale, made with 60 lbs. of sweet rolls from a local bakery. Substantial body with a nice amount of cinnamon....not overpowering, such as you encounter with some of the "holiday ales" out there at this time of year. I liked the imperial stout too, though still would have liked more body, more bite. Still would go back, just because it's a funky little place to hang out. And who knows what might be on tap then?

Took a day off to go on a bit of brewery tour in midsouth Mitten, and have been meaning to come here for a long time. Their hours are not always the easiest to maneuver around on the weekdays, so this had to be specially mapped out to achieve success. Never having been to Jonesville before, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but it was very similar to many other towns in that area. Cute downtown with a main artery with a series of buildings in lieu of strip malls. It was in one of these said buildings that Ramshackle was located in. One of my favorite moments in visiting breweries is trying to guess what the decor of each brewery will be. Safe to say I was very very off with this one. I wasn't expecting the walls to be covered in bright murals and a very hippie vibe. While food is not served here, the main course is really the beer. I was able to try a few before I settled on the English Drizzle. Each one I tried was very good, but I have been moving away from the more bitter ones to the more malty ones as the temperature gets colder [and it was cold out there] and the English Drizzle was perfect for it. One fantastic feature they had was the buy a beer forward wall that was covered in stickers. I'm still hoping a world war II vet does come in and get his free beer, but I fear those numbers are dwindling down to nothing now. Unfortunately there wasn't a sticker for a rotund, odd looking, bald Indian guy to get a free beer so I had to pay, but it was worth it. Service was great and the people in the brewery with me was very nice and talkative. Excellent experience and will visit again.

Our almost empty glass of Grammer Hammer and Jane. Each great and tasty brews.

Very friendly place. We have been visiting here for the past 2.5 years since we moved to Michigan. The beer is flavorful, their seasonal brews are great and fit the climate. Looking forward to trying Jane new this summer season.

Had a tasty flight with a Belgian ale, strawberry ale that were my favorite! Parking is tricky. They have a few spots here and there. The team here asked us to order at the bar before being seated. I don't know if that is their normal process. If it is...it might work well for the restaurants logistics but it creates a less than desirable dinning feel for me. The order takers were very friendly and helpful. They hustled to process the train passengers. The seating area is a large open room. It feels like an old factory turned beer garden. The floors are a nice hardwood. Not much decor or atmosphere in this large room. They did have a singer as entertainment which wasn't the best. For food I started with the potstickers. These weren't your traditional Chinese potsticker. They were over fried and tough. The filling was vegan instead of pork. It didn't work for me and wasn't very tasty. Kinda tough and flavorless. The sweet chili sauce really helped. I also tried the BBQ Mac Burrito. The BBQ was good but not very plentiful. It was a bit hard to find that taste. The Mac & Cheese was nice and creamy. The noodles were soft. Served alone I think they would be fine. Stuffed in a burrito....not a fan of. Please be aware that they don't give free refills on soda. We didn't have table service outside of someone dropping off food. Overall I will give them four stars for opening up special for the train tour. Otherwise I was rather unimpressed with this establishments process and food.

We went on a night where there was live music- the musician did a great job but it was SO loud in the restaurant that we felt like we were yelling to hear each other. So, honestly, we were expecting more from the food. We got the huge pretzel with 3 dips, it was pretty good... definitely enough for four people to share. My friend ordered the chips and salsa and was a bit disappointed to see that they literally just used salsa from a jar. We ordered the pulled pork mac n' cheese, it was "ok"- but seemed super greasy. We also got the pulled pork sandwich, also "ok". Some of the meat was really dry- the french fries seemed previously frozen. The vibe screamed "Everything is fresh and made in house!" But the food didn't taste that way at all. Not somewhere I'd feel the need to go back to.

I samples three and they each had their own flavor. Now for the appetizer, the GIANT pretzel. It had three sauces and it was delicious. The pretzel was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The pretzel was part of the Comedy tour menu. As we looked around, the regular menu items looked tempting. The hostess and waiter were attentive. We'll go back to try the standard menu items. The Brewery is a win for Coldwater.

I scoured the web for the best sounding wrap I could find and finally set my sights on Grand River Brewery. I ordered a Santa Fe wrap to-go, got there before it was even ready and was home to eat it within 5 minutes. To my dismay they had left the spicy ranch off the wrap. It was dry and unpleasant and that was an unfortunate tell of what was to come. It was accompanied by an odd tasting pickle, which particularly hurt my heart because I am a woman who loves a good pickle. This next part was especially jarring because the ambiance of the restaurant really seemed like they would have good fries, I'm sure they would be good fresh, but the ones I found inside my to-go box were not that. Sad, hard, dry fries that tasted and felt like they had been sitting out for hours. Truly disappointing. In summary, twas certainly a mistake to treat myself to this TWENTY ONE dollar meal that didn't even include a drink...21 dollars for a horrible wrap, horrible fries and a weird pickle. For that price I was really expecting the best wrap I've ever had, I could not have been more let down. My Venmo is grace-shoemaker- if you're feeling sympathetic to my experience.
