The gravy was rich, dark brown, thick, and coated the rice perfectly. The steamed vegetables were the only disappointment, as they seemed like they had been microwaved. However, the grilled pork chop, although thin, was seasoned well and cooked perfectly, staying surprisingly juicy. The chicken fried steak was excellent, with crispy fries alongside it. The red beans were decent but nothing particularly memorable. The gumbo was very good, and the potato salad paired with it perfectly. The kids' chicken tenders were outstanding--juicy, well-seasoned, and fried to perfection while still staying moist inside. Overall, this is definitely a restaurant I'd return to. This location has a little library with books for kids and adults, which was a nice touch. It is also perfectly clean and fresh. On our second visit the owner was not there and we had the same great level of service. They do a great job on training, clearly. An XL pizza has fed two adults for four days. We have cracked the code for easy summer dining! The dough is light and crisp, all ingredients are top notch and the cheese pull is great. Fox's in Leesville checks all the boxes and we will happily drive an hour for a pizza date from now on.
