I was able to do the job I needed in the time I predicted. (I could have never done it with a four wheel bobcat.). The machine was in great condition, practically new, and functioned flawlessly. The air conditioned cab was really nice...cool, clean and most of all, not dusty. The tilt trailer I rented was easy to load and unload. (Next time I'll probably take advantage of their delivery and pickup service.) The pickup and return was easy and laid back. Friendly guys and great to do business with. Employees tried to figure out what happened, but the records and the inventory did not match. It was a little awkward for about 5 minutes, but the employee handed me the part anyway. I have had good experience with Tellus in general, but the longer story would reveal that the ball is dropped occasionally. Overall getting Deere stuff here is a better experience than the alternatives.

buyer beware!!! these folks have zero interest in providing customer service. i have had a…read morecommercial backhoe there for repair for over 8 months, with zero communication, zero status updates, and several lies. when and if (good luck getting them to answer your call), you get ahold of anyone there, they will lie about what status your equopment is in. we have been told it needed parts, or that they needed a computer cord to connect between our equipment and their computer to diagnose the issue?! fast forward a few weeks, still no parts, still no repairs, still no data cable?! stay away from these guys at all costs, one could almost assume shady business practices are being done here?! i sent a driver to pick it up after 8 months of no repairs, and they got there this am and were told its in a million pieces and i have no one to put it together. $445 dry run driver fee, and he couldnt even move it this am... get your sh@#$#%$^it together.

This left us with no way to start on a job we had committed to on that day. We called up Thomas Rentals, they had what we needed and were willing to hold it for us even though we'd never done business with them before. I just found out that they let someone rent some equipment in my name…read more the person did not have to show any ID or anything, he just gave them my name and they gave him the equipment. it just so happened that I did the guy a favor and took the equipment back for him before the due date because he was out of commission. they couldn't find his name on record but looked up the equipment number and my name popped up. had I not been a Good Samaritan and taken the equipment back I would've been racking up fees that I didn't know anything about. if you ever want to steal equipment from there just give a random name, don't show any ID and you can have the equipment of your choice.

Behind the counter, the people are knowledgeable and able to provide helpful insight based on your project/needs. Also, they seem to look for opportunities to treat you fairly and save you unnecessary costs. The rental business is rife with vendors who will try and take advantage of your lack of expertise - 5 Star is the polar opposite. If you take the time to communicate with them, they can be extremely helpful for you. I highly recommend them!
