Picked up order to go and was missing half of my order. Called and didn't seem to care. I will not be ordering from there again.

I ordered the Faja Burrito and my wife had the Chimichangas. I enjoyed my burrito and thought the meat was well seasoned. My wife said her chimichangas were ok but she preferred a different Mexican restaurant in the areas better. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night at 6pm but the service didn't show that. They were quick and very friendly. They also had music playing in the background but it wasn't loud like at some other restaurants. In this town they have 3 Mexican restaurants at the time of writing this review. I believe they are all about the same when it comes to food quality. So give this place a shot. read more

I've been here twice and both times, I've been gravely disappointed in the quality of the food. First time I order chicken enchiladas that had dry chicken and bland flavor. The second time tipped the scale. I ordered a tamale that was decent, and three beef tacos that were absolutely awful (see pictures). There was a heaping amount of lettuce and cheese (and not good kind of cheese). The meat was soaking and not in it own juices, but what looked like water-- as if they boiled the ground beef or left it in some hot water under a light. It was mushy and bland! I couldn't finish the tacos, I was so disgusted. However, killer chips and salsa-- the only saving grace of my night. We also order the queso which was also pretty darn good. If it weren't for those starters and a big smile from the friendly hostess, I would have left one star. read more

This Mexican restaurant in Buffalo although not the best food ever scores off the carts in service. The female server I had today was incredible. On the spot on everything. What really put her over the top was her interaction with an elderly customer at the table near me. He wanted a sugar free margarita and she came out a few minutes later and advised she did not feel the margarita had enough flavor but offered him some to try. She asked if she could put sone OJ to spice it up but he declined. He tried it and was happy with it. For her to not serve what she felt was inferior product is telling. The food was decent. I hate to be this person... but this was probably the most bland Mexican food we have had. Taco meat had no color or flavor, tamale barely had any meat in it (and the meat was questionable). The only thing we had that was good was the salsa. read more

A nice experience during my first visit to Rancho Grande. A pleasant welcome along with attentive service provided by a very polite server (Cesar). My Taco Fajita salad (see photo) arrived quickly, very hot and was a decent size. Flavor was good and the salad contained a good amount of steak. The restaurant is nicely decorated, pretty clean and features a good number of TVs tuned to a variety of sports. This early Saturday afternoon saw a good number of guests who enjoyed everything available in the spacious bar area. Overall, a spot I'd visit again when in Buffalo. I grew up a few hours north of Mexico and a few minutes west of New Mexico in Arizona. I moved up here about 6 years ago. I'm pretty adept at cooking Sonoran Mexican cuisine but have a hard time finding ingredients PLUS many authentic, homemade dishes are time consuming to make properly. I've missed just stopping at a local Mexican food restaurant and getting the real deal. I'm so very glad I stopped at Rancho. Very, very good! You know you're off to a good start when the frijoles are not canned but made properly!! If a joint can't do that then you know it won't get better. Highly recommend this spot. Rancho Grande is a solid Mexican restaurant. The combination of a friendly, attentive staff and great, authentic Mexican food make it a winner. Their margaritas are good, but not amazing. Make sure you at least do the Texas level, not the basic. My favorite item is the Burritos Mexicanos, get one with chicken and one with beef. read more

Mexican in the middle of America. We are a diverse place. And not everyone wishes to live in NYC or LA I guess. All the employes I saw or interacted with here were is Mexican, or anyway of South American origin. As a result the food was really quite good. Thee stars, it was fine, hit the spot, but servings were a little too large and the service was a little on the "hey- can you get me xxx" side and not coming around to help. It was not busy enough for that, but i will say, it wa busy for a Sunday. I'd eat here again if in the area. But I'd also be willing to try a different place. read more

I can't believe some of the other reviews. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but my meal was probably the worst Mexican meal I've ever had. The High Point was the chips and ice tea. How can you screw up a burrito with rice and beans? They know because they did it. Everything was bland and tasted like it came out of a can. The beans were so runny they looked like baby food. Nothing too exciting here. Came here on a Sunday evening and there was only 1 other table seated. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it literally tasted like a cherry slushy from a gas station. I am giving a 2-star review cause my father who I went to this restaurant with, ate all his food and seemed to like it. Though he would eat bark... My meal was bland and unsatisfactory. The lettuce was wet, the chicken had no flavor at all beyond the burnt parts. My waiter was aware of this when he asked if I wanted a box after I stopped eating shortly after getting the food. I told him it was bad and had no flavor. I declined anything else. When the bill came they tried to charge me for the food I did not eat. I spoke to the manager about not being charged for the food I sent back. They spoke only in Spanish as if Because I am white I don't understand Spanish. They were wrong, I understood everything they were saying. When you start speaking English to me and then change to Spanish to communicate behind the customers back but in their face. I find that very disrespectful. I'll never go back. read more

Went their for the first time for a birthday party Sunday, all ordered Fajita's chicken and steak, service excellent, received great chips and salsa for snacks, food showed up sizzling on the plate, with two more plates for toppings per person, portions generous, taste and temp perfect. Very nice place to eat. We were nervous as we approached and the parking lot was full. We are not from around here and randomly chose this place to eat. We got in and seen that the restaurant was packed, thought we were going to have a waiting time. They let us right in!! As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with chips and Salsa. Wasn't long after that before the joyful waitress came to take our order. Being that the restaurant was full, we assumed that the kitchen would be backed up. It is a real treat for me to get to eat there and my bride likes it too! Their service is top notch - they know how to make their guests feel welcome!
