Attended a Quinceañera at this Ranch. Overall a nice place but the restrooms were horrible. They had no ventilation and were very small. Definitely not enough for a 150+ people. In addition, it was very hot, no fans or air conditioning in the reception area. I would not rent this venue! read more

Had my wedding here 9/16/23. We were blessed to have found it so last minute. The venue itself is extremely beautiful, everywhere you look there's something interesting to see. So many details and if you're a big picture person like me you'll be so excited at how many place there are to take pictures. We booked this place so last minute and didn't hesitate to book since it was a last minute opening on their end as well. It was after we booked that we searched the place up and saw all the reviews. It got me nervous to see everyone else's experience but never did I experience any of those things. Gabriel Sr is extemely loving and caring. He helped us out since set up to tear down and everything in between. He really went above and beyond with his gratitude. I highly recommend this place it was a dream come true. read more

Worst place to have an event! You will have the owner hovering over the entire event, not abiding by his own contract. I have attended three weddings at this place, including my sister's wedding and every single time it was the same issue. I think the Botox in his face has really gotten to him. It is a beautiful location but lots of rules. So make sure to ask lots of questions and make sure its a good fit for you. Rules on when you leave and how loud music is and the type of music you can have. Rules on singing no microphone ect. So my advice ask questions. Rancho Los Agaves is a gorgeous venue. It was the perfect place for my wedding, photos and memories that will last a lifetime. The owners are helpful and very responsive to all the questions we had. I had my wedding here, I loved the place the location how big it was and just how nice it looked, however you do end up talking to the owner but the day of the event his father is the one in charge and he is not very nice, we payed and we were supposed to be there till 12 am and he was kicking everyone out by 11:00 kept telling my guest to pack up and to get going, and it's just the rudest and also he was so quick to tell everyone whatever you guys leave will be thrown out. I definitely do not recommend this place. Also, my cousin just had her 15 birthday party there and they were supposed to leave some chairs out he literally didn't tell anyone to leave them out and I Had to carry them out from the truck to where they needed to be and he didn't even had the courtesy to apologized for not doing their job. DON'T DO EVENTS HERE!!! You'll have a bad experience. Your celebration should be memorable in the best way possible. read more

One star because the venue is gorgeous other than that not that....I would not recommend. This Rancho needs someone who is friendly and available at all times. We had complications because Gabriel Jr did not have availability from Monday-Friday at all. Granted the weekend we wanted to pay he was out of town for the weekend and made it a bit more complicated to give final payment. He eventually stated if final payment was not received he would delay our event. Mind you we started reaching out to give final payment one month before the event as stated in the contract but he was not available because of his job. The day of the event Gabriel was generous to let my husband and I stay inside his house to cool of from the heat. However I was extremely disappointed as my Dj shared Gabriel had screamed at his young child because the music was too loud and he had to lower the music. Clearly there is no sign of respect he left the Dj's son crying. The contract states we booked the venue until 12:00 pm. Gabriel stopped my DJ from playing music at 11:00 pm. Mind you I payed my DJ to play until 12:00pm. As soon as 11:00 pm hits Gabriel rudely rushes everyone out! The contract should be revised to say your event will be stopped at 11:00 pm regardless of contracts signed. Please save your money. Not worth it... read more

If you are looking for a venue like this because you THINK you will not have to worry about cops stoping your music? Think again. Cops where not the problem, the owner are the problem. My Sister got married on 9/28/2019 we had huge issues with the venue. On our contract it states that music should be at a certain decibles at all times. As we had agreed and were ready to abide by. From the minute our DJ arrived the owner immediately informed them that they could not use their own speakers or equipment! (WTF!) and would have to play with what was there already. Banda arrives and same thing! Mind you we arranged music at a certain time based on their contract so that we would not have any issues. After begging Old man to budge a little he stated "well they can abide by what I say or they can leave!" Ofcourse after spending 6k on Banda we were definitely not going to have them leave. At 8:00PM Conjunto Norteńo shows a bit early so that they are able to set up and test their equipments and boom...You guessed right Old man (Owner) lets them know immediately that they will not be able to use ANY of their equipment and the only equipment they will be using will be what is already placed by their venue. Some really cheap sounding speakers. The Conjunto's Manager informed him and explained that they would abide by the rules but they needed to use their equipment. Owner again said "you can leave if you do not like my rules"... I had to go back and fourth with owner and Conjunto's manager so that we could come to some type of agreement and meet in the middle. After begging and begging owner finally agrees to allow them to ONLY use their control board. Mind you the owner had a security guard, guard the manager the WHOLE time. Conjunto was playing and the security guards where lowering music and making changes. It was Very frustrating knowing we paid $6,100.00 for this venue only not to enjoy the thousands of dollars in music we paid for. I think it's very sad the way he operates his business. After being paid for his venue he felt the right to let someone know "you can leave if you don't like it" He did mention I will show you the contract if you like. Nowhere in your contract does it state that musicians could not use their own equipment! Other thing was yes the venue is gorgeous but it's also very dusty and had spider webs everywhere. I really didn't appreciate the fact that it's was not properly cleaned of all cobwebs stair cases where also very dirty and full of trash. Finally I feel that anyone planing a REAL Mexican wedding with all the bells and whistles ( Music wise) should not book this place. You will be very disappointed. You will be told different day of your event, they probably don't have all the proper permits for this to be an event venue. DONT waist you're money. If you are looking to book for pictures only this is your place. If you are looking to book to enjoy your event and have a great time. Run now!!! This is not the venue for you. read more

We just had our wedding 3/10/2018 it is a beautiful venue for a wedding! There's a lot of places for pictures! Unfortunately it rained all day on Saturday! Gabriel senior and Gabriel jr. Made the best they could by setting up tarps so water wouldn't get threw! They really went above and beyond so our guest wouldn't get wet! Juan Carlos was even shuttling in the guest in a golf cart! The securities where awesome! One of them even gave us his umbrella so my wife's hair wouldn't get wet due to the rain! My guest where shocked at how beautiful the venue is! We recently held our daughter's Quinceañera at Rancho Los Agaves. It was truly an amazing place and experience. All of our guests had nothing but great comments about how beautiful and unique the ranch was. It was very satisfying to know that our guest enjoyed themselves. There are many locations within the ranch to take pictures. Juan Carlos was very helpful. Every time we had a question or request he was happy to assist. We had about 200 guest and never felt crowded. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a place that is different than the traditional reception hall. read more

If I had the chance to do my wedding all over again, I would definitely still choose this place in a heart beat! This was the first venue we seen, and My heart was set on it. I didn't want, nor did I need to see any other venues. This place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We had our wedding reception here this past Saturday 9/02/17, and everyone from the owner, the son Gabriel, Juan Carlos, and the security guards were all super good to us and our guest! They made sure everything we needed was taken care of, and kept us in the loop of everything that was going around us as well. Juan Carlos helped with the set up and clean up which was a huge help to us; not to mention him driving our parents in the golf cart up and down the hill for pics and after pics. The securities were super professional, and friendly; they made sure everyone was drinking responsibly and keeping us aware of everything. I recently got married at this ranch this was my experience the day of the wedding first off Juan Carlos was always very helpful Gabriel senior and Gabriel Junior where very professional and welcoming, polite. The whole family where very courteous with everyone. I had a good experience with them the ranch is beautiful. Unfortunately the day of my wedding when we where doing our first dance and doing presentations the speakers were not really working which happened 3 or 4 times. But as soon as we informed them of the speaker's not functioning correctly they were on it right away trying to fix them. The reason why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for this reason. When doing the contract I asked if we could decorate the foundation at the top where we had our reception. We where told we could decorate it with flowers as soon as when entering the fountain water boots need to be used which was not a problem. The day of the wedding they did not allow us to decorate the fountain which we had paid our florist for already which we lost $400 in flowers to be used in the fountain. read more

My cousin's wedding took place at Rancho Los Agaves last weekend. It was a stunning venue! I was informed that even a few celebs have rented out for events here. I don't question why - it was a beautiful ranch like setting! There is a huge parking area and upon arrival guests are guided to their individual parking space which makes it even easier and less time consuming for us. The man in charge of guiding parking was outstandingly kind to my mom who is currently in a wheelchair. To facilitate it for my mom, he set us up to the closest parking spot to the festivity. I owe it to him and the goodhearted security guard who offered to assist my mom walking up the walkway. I am so thankful to these 2 men who willingly out of/ their good heart helped my mom but also made her feel special causing a smile that she hadn't shown for a few days. My mom was treated with sympathetic respect and a 5 star rate doesn't justify enough for the phenomenal service we received. The entire staff were so kind and accommodating. The location was clean and there couldn't have been a more perfect place to suit my cousin's taste and make it a memorable night for all of us. read more

THIS VENUE deserves a ZERO!!!!@!!! Tere were so many things that went wrong after all payments were made in full. First we only received all the tables and half the chairs so we couldn't finish decorating and had to come back another day. I was told that we paid over 6Kand that this would cover the staff, setting up tables and chairs, placing chairs in front of the alter and then moving back up to the venue. That was not the case at all. I was told that no one had been scheduled specifically for that and that I should have the wait staff move it. The actual day the owner was walking around checking on things and was making people uncomfortable. We placed the catering service by the entrance of the big hall and he came over and asked them to move because they were going to get the concrete dirty. We talked to him and he said "oh ok, we can leave it there". The security guards were going back and forth and finally told us that no beer bottles were accepted there and that our invitees could not get any. Our contract and what we were told just kept changing without any consideration or say so on our part. We were having to get up every 30 mins to solve an issue with the staff and the owner. So finally the reception was over and we stared taking things to the car. The owner kept turning off the lights as to letting us know that we needed to leave our time wasn't even over. We left containers full of beer, sodas, plates, etc and their staff told us that we cold come back and get it the next day. We came back the next day and all the beer, sodas, plates, arrangements, and cake topper were gone. No one was able to tell us where any of those items had gone. This was such a bad experience that it ruined our celebration. Paying $6100 for a place like this and having such service is a poling to say the least. The only staff person that was helpful was the owner's brother in law. I understand that people want the privacy of a ranch as to not have police come over and turn your music down but not at the cost of having your friends and family being harassed by the owner or the staff because they want to control everything. read more

My sister in-law got married this weekend at this so called ranch and it was the worse experience. They don't abide to the contracts that they themselves write and make changes without authorization or notification. If you're thinking about having a wedding at this ranch because you won't have to worry about neighbors calling the cops on you for a noise complaint, well think again. The cops didn't come shut the music down, the owner came to tell the dj and the band playing to turn it down at 6pm. That's ridiculous!!! There's nothing out here but ranches and the music as loud as it was could be barely even be heard outside the structure. Not to mention the restrooms in this place.
