The only reason I chose this site was because it was open from 6-6 and when I got my first appointment to tour I confirmed this with the staff. The director was supposed to give me the tour did not show up to the appointment but another staff member was kind enough to step in. They have since decided that they are not opening until 6:30 and are trying to say they told me at my tour but I made sure to confirm this. I show up at 6:30 every morning and they are never ready for children so I am 10-15 minutes behind. It is frustrating that the website still says 6-6 and they get mad at you for being there at 6:30 as if you were inconveniencing them. I talked to the director and she was rude. read more

My son has gone here for the past year. With both of us working we needed a safe place that could facilitate the online portion of his school during the madness that was this past school year. We could not be more happy with Kindercare. The entire staff (Ms Veronika especially) was incredible with all of the challenges that popped up. From making sure he made all his zoom classes to getting all of his work done we were incredibly appreciative for their help this year. Our daughter went to Kindercare Penasquitos from 1 year old to today, 5 years and 9 months old. She made friends, learned so much, had great activities/play times and will easily transition to her new public school with all the guidance the great staff at KinderCare gave to her. When she was smaller, it was hard, I cried going to work and would call and ask how she was...she was fine! The "teachers" and Alma and Houda cared so much that they would always take her, in their arms, to help as needed because she was fine with them. They were very quick to answer any of my questions. My daughter got so motivated to "potty train" because the KinderCare teachers encouraged and helped her. It is a worse place to put your child, my daughther and I had a worse expericne. the teachers are always tired, angry and dont put effort to communicate with the your children, toys are very old. teacheres are most of the time are busy and 99% of the time your child is going to be alone with her/himself. They keep registering without hiring good teacher, they also have a child with disablity and they put extra effort on him instead of be fair with your child and others. foods are very low quality, and kitchen is alwasy smell carbon monixide( which is toxic and has direct bad effect on the child's brain) please please dont put your child there, they dont care about child feeling. they talk to them very loud. and they dont care if they cry. read more

My two girls have been going here for the past 3 years. We are so comfortable and happy here because the staff loves our girls and treats everyone like family. I am amazed how clean my girls are after an entire day of eating and playing-especially my two year old. When I'm home with the girls, it's food and stains all over. But when I pick up my three year old and two year old, they're always happy, we'll-taken care of, and clean. I always have spare clothes, too, in case of any accidents. One of the teachers is my girls' second mom. That's how great the teachers are. So many great activities are established here and events: soccer, winter gala, carnival. My husband and I are really picky about who takes care of our girls and we would definitely recommend Rancho Peñasquitos KinderCare to parents! read more

Corporate world.............. If you have problems or complains no one to talk to here. It is better to put a complaint with the San Diego child care licensing. I took my kid out of this messy place and I am very happy that I did. Dirty, unorganized, and employess come and go. What kind of care can you expect from that. To top it off I am stll trying to get a refund from this place. I gave my two weeks noticed and had some credit in my account. I called many times asking for it and no refund yet! We sent our daughter to daycare here for a little over a year, so she attended both infant and toddler classrooms. We had to leave unfortunately due to military life, but we can't say enough great things about this center. Everyone who works there from teachers to the directors even the kitchen staff are so nice and great with the kids. My daughter was really comfortable with all of them and had a big smile when she saw her teachers. There are lots of toys for the kids to play with and room to move around and explore. They have monthly "lesson plans" for each age, and do different fun activities with the kids around that month's theme. My daughter was really able to learn and grow here, and we loved knowing she was in great hands while we were at work. read more

My daughter has been going to this school since she was 2yrs old and she is now almost 4. I love this school. The teachers are all very smart and work well with my child. She is learning new things and is always amazing me with how smart she is. The manager and assistant manager are both very open and are easy to talk to about anything. My son has been going to Kindercare for six months. He is always happy to go to school and see his friends and teacher. I like the variety of curriculum they provide incorporating a variety of subjects and even introductory Spanish. They provide breakfast and lunch for the children which is made in house and is wholesome and healthy compared to most pre-prepared cafeteria food. The staff since we have been there has been stable without any noticeable turnover. One concern is the student teacher ratio seems high and to fluctuate with enrollment. I have only good things to say about Kindercare. My daughter has been going here for just over two months now, but what a world of difference it has made. Three years old is such an important age to learn and grow. Ms. Cassie and Ms. Maxine are both amazing. All the employees here are. Within a few days, they all knew my daughter's name. Even the ones that are in rooms she never visits. The management here is great as well. My daughter comes home every day with a daily sheet, so I know what she did, how she slept, and what was for lunch. It provides everything we need to talk about her day. She is now almost 3 1/2 and writing her name and a few other words. She talks so highly of her teachers and all her friends. My favorite parts about Kindercare: The teachers care about these children. Structure. The things they teach about (Egypt, sports, camping, shopping, etc). They aren't just learning colors and numbers. We had the opportunity to move her to a school that costs half the amount. We could not take her out of Kindercare. Moving her would have set us back so much in learning and development. I plan to keep her with Kindercare until she starts school. read more

All my 3 kids have been to this preschool and I'm very happy with all the staff. Two are now in elementary school and both were ready for Kindergarten. They both took Phoenix and this really prepared them reading and writing. My youngest has been there for a few months and I saw how much she has improved. She writes; reads (sight words) and doing really good socially. The teachers are very friendly to the kids and I see that they love to teach them. When my first daughter left KinderCare in 2013, we were sad because we thought our relationship with them would be over. Three years later, we had another baby and without hesitation, enrolled her in KinderCare, even though we had options closer to our home. My youngest daughter is now 3 and has been going to KinderCare for 2.5 years. She loves going there. I know this because she talks about her teachers outside of school, and because half the time when we come to pick her up, she doesn't want to leave. She has been doing weekly phonics classes with Ms. Sam since age one and has a vocabulary that my wife doesn't see in some of her beginning kindergarten students (she is a teacher). Ms. Alma & Ms. Houda, the center directors are like family to us. Anytime there is any kind of bump or fall, we get a phone call, even though it really isn't necessary. Unlike one of the other reviewers, I'm not appalled if my daughter comes home with a bit of her lunch on her. Part of the development is in teaching kids how to feed themselves & become independent. It gets messy. My daughter tried to eat spaghetti by herself last week at a restaurant and ended up wearing half of her meal. But she did not want us to feed her because she's been taught to feed herself, as well as clean up after herself. After every meal she eats at home now, when she is done, she picks up her plate and cut and hands it to my wife or myself. Those attributes were taught at KinderCare. read more

My daughter attended this Kindercare from the time she was 4 months old until she started kindergarten. We had nothing but good experiences with teachers and staff. My son is now attending and loves it there as well. They have adapted to the covid pandemic and I feel safe having my child continue to attend. My daughter loves this school .she was going here when she was 12 months old till she was 2 . Then we moved to east county and we did not like it .norh did we like the school she was in . So we moved back to pq and our daughter was so happy to come back to Kindercare .They have Way more learning activities also they do alot of art . Everyone is so impressed at how much my son knows at such a young age, thanks to Kinder care. Miss Cassie was my sons teacher and she is fantastic. My kid has been going to this daycare for the past several months. Overall, we are satisfied with the place and the teachers. There are several good things that my kid has learnt after going to day care. For instance, the habit of putting away toys in boxes, saying thank you, and the desire to talk (probably due to peer pressure). They make every effort to accommodate the child and handle issues quite well. For instance, my kid went through a biting phase due to teething. The staff was very professional in the way the incidents were handled. The one downside that I have noticed is that there has been quite a bit of turn over with staff at least in my kid's classroom (3 teachers in 4 months). This doesn't seem to have affected my kid, especially when a new teacher takes over. In fact the management tries to overlap newer staff with older ones to have continuity. I am not sure if this is par for course in day cares, but it did look a bit odd. Is this place perfect? Most likely no. Is this a good place to leave your kid. Yes. read more

My daughter has attended KinderCare's infant room in PQ since November 2014. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend their school. As a new mom, it was obviously very important to me to find a childcare center that I felt comfortable with... and being on maternity leave...boy did I do my research! By far, KinderCare was the most impressive and ultimately the best fit for the needs of my family. The thing that stood out most to me was their caring staff. They are rock stars! Not only are they are responsive and professional (things you would expect), you can tell they genuinely care for the kiddos in their program and love what they do. They light up when they see the kids and the kids reciprocate -for my daughter specifically, at 6 months old, her legs wiggle with excitement when she arrives in class- it's awesome! The warmth we felt as a new family being welcomed into theirs was something I didn't expect but absolutely appreciated. I've spoken with friends of mine who have their babies/kids in other programs and, through hearing them vent about their frustrations to discussing the crafts they make in class, I've have quickly concluded that we made the right choice - KinderCare is unique and top-notch by industry standards. One of the WORST childcare facilities I have ever been to. Management is rude and the facility is only cleaned twice a week. Extremely poorly run and children do not receive adequate care. The location is in a bad part of town where breakins happen all the time and thus children are not at all safe. There is nothing to discuss your actions said enough. When we are told that there are 12 toddlers to one teacher it makes sense why you would not take the time to escort a child to the bathroom. We've been through several kindercare locations over the years and we have found them all accommodating and open to help us with our changing needs. I needed to move my son to the Rancho Penasquitos location when I had my second child and stopped working, even though this happened a month earlier than what we planned they made it happen. When I went back to work they took care of my baby as well. The little one had feeding and weight issues they were persistent in trying to feed him and they taught me few tricks to help him gain weight. My oldest is in Ms Sangita's class and she does an amazing job in teaching them reading as well as a lot of other facts, for example this week he explained to me what a conveyer belt is so accurately. When he was in Ms Sasha's class he was having so much fun whith her crafts ideas and classroom projects. We love Rancho Penasquitos Kindercare! Our son has attended this daycare since he was four months old. He is now five years old and we have always been very happy. The teachers at this daycare are simply phenomenal, and there is an extremely low turnover rate among the teachers. The teachers are knowledgeable, talented, caring, and very obviously love what they do and love the children they are caring for and teaching. The Center Director and Assistant Director are very kind and fair, as well as understanding. An added bonus at this daycare/school are the hot, freshly cooked meals served to the children. My child has learned to eat a wide variety of healthy meals as they provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack--all well rounded and very healthy. Further, we have enormously benefited from the special programs, such as Phonics, and the extended hours that they offer. Based on our very positive experience, we would highly recommend Rancho Penasquitos Kindercare to anyone. read more
