We appeared to be the only short term guests in the place. The rest of the sites had evidence of being occupied for the long term with either: huge freestanding propane tanks, wooden porches, large number of items stored under the RV's, very few sites with tow vehicles capable of pulling the 5th wheel or travel trailer. So if you are looking for the campground experience with fellow vacationeers, this isn't the place. Trailer Park would be a more apt description. Park was tidy and restrooms were clean but the WiFi was non-existent at our site. Our site, D4 was a narrow strip of gravel and the rear of our trailer was 2 feet from the rear of the trailer behind us. Not much value for $170 bucks (included tax) for 2 nights. read more

Between the pandemic and Putin don't book this place looking for serenity. If you can't make it you won't see your money again. You will be offered a credit less $25 which isn't helpful when gas prices are so high. read more

Stayed here 1 month, friendly staff. No bells and whistles (no rec hall, pool, etc) but great for us with no kids. Quiet and nice trees to block the hot sun. Clean laundry, shower spaces and there are always people working to keep things clean and updated! Pet friendly place too! read more

Rancho Verde is a great RV Park, it's even a better home. It is both to many people who've been guests here, whether long term or short. I was lucky enough to rent an RV there for nearly 3 months. The location is 10 minutes from downtown Camp Verde and less than 20 minutes to shopping in Cottonwood. Just off I17, you are a less than an hour drive to Sedona, Flagstaff, or Prescott. Even closer to 'home' is Cliff's Casino and Montezuma's Castle, both just minutes away, Yet at home at night, the sky is black and the stars are out in force. Breathtaking! In nearby Cottonwood, there are some wonderful restaurants and even a 2nd nearby National Monument, Tuzigoot. Indeed, if you visit either Tuzigoot or Montezuma's Castle, you may see the second one the same day by showing your receipt. If you have the "America The Beautiful Pass," use it for free admission to both. If you do not, check out the pass if you are over 62, it's well worth the money. The owners are committed to making your stay both comfortable and enjoyable. The common rest rooms, showers, and laundry areas are bright and cheerful, as well as immaculate. There's even a small, honor system library that houses a decent variety of reading materials. If you need anything the owners, Sigrid and George are usually there daily. If not, they have many fine employees that are also permanent campers at the park, also very willing to answer your needs. It's a small oasis in the midst of the high desert. With gratitude from the Audubon Society, the park doubles as a bird sanctuary of sorts. There are tens of trees, homing both local and rare birds to the area. Hummingbirds abound, fed by the flowering landscape and feeders found throughout the park. A small tributary of the Verde River flows through the back of the park, if you bring your pets, be sure to check out the river while letting them roam in a clean, fenced area close to the river. Personally I found my rather brief stay there the most enjoyable lifestyle choice I've had in years. If an opportunity hadn't arose about 2 and a half hours away, I would have stayed for the foreseeable future read more

Stayed here for a few weeks while visiting the sites in the valley, The spot we were in was great and always shady from the trees. The owners/host were exceptionally nice and helpful to us on our stay. The laundry facility was clean and had all the things you needed to do your laundry. I.e. Soap you can purchase and rolling laundry baskets. Had WIFI the entire time, and plenty of channels if you choose to watch t.v.... We will definitely stay here again! read more

I am enjoying an extended stay from Oct 2018 through April 2019. I like the peaceful atmosphere and the personable management people. They have made my stay very enjoyable and are quick to help me if needed with my RV and info on the area attractions. Bathrooms, showers and laundry are always clean and readily available. This park is dog friendly and there are some cats here also. I plan to return again next fall. read more

My wife and I stayed at Rancho Verde RV Park and were very impressed by the professional service we received from Sharon, Jim, and Karen. The park is very quiet and well maintained. It's located close to Jerome and Sedona. The sites offer 30 to 50 amp hookups, water, and sewer. We plan on going there again. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Rancho Verde for 2 months with our travel trailer. We enjoyed our stay and would've stayed longer had we not decided to move back east! Cindy and her husband were extremely helpful and welcoming from the very first day. We are new RVers and they were very understanding and patient with us. Other RVers were very friendly and the laundry room and bathrooms were great. I knocked off a star due to the fact that the spaces are a little tight, but it wasn't an issue. Dog Nazis. From the moment we drove in, we were hassled daily. Then they evicted us and refused to return our month rent that was prepaid. We've traveled 30, 000 miles in 15 months and our voice command, gentle chocolate labs have been welcome everywhere. read more

Stayed one night in October. There was a mix-up with the site I booked which should have been a pull-through. When I checked in they told me about the mix-up and said it would be a back-in. The staff was very friendly. I was disappointed but decided it was ok. Then they escorted us to the site and had me unhook. After unhooking we all saw that it was in fact a pull-through (not long enough to leave hooked up though as the site next door would have someone park the opposite facing direction and the area behind our RV would be their yard). No worries. We decided to check out Montezuma Castle and Well anyway so unhooking ended up being a good thing. The Castle and Well are very cool... I highly suggest visiting both places. read more

Been here now for two months while waiting for our house back home to get leased out so we can move forward with renting/buying a home. Nice, quiet, and clean. Read online the reviews of other RV parks in the area and was less than impressed by the time I did the Google Earth shots (right next to major roads and freeways). This place sits way down at the end of a road in a residential neighborhood. No swimming pool which is why I guess most folks don't give it high marks, but nice laundromat on site with three washers and three dryers. Full hook ups (50 amp service included). I'm paying $350 month plus electrical which ran $75 last month. Nice friendly campers, some long term residents but nicely kept "yards". We are almost tempted to just stay here through the summer, but knowing how hot it gets here we'll probably move on in about two months. Would definitely come back. read more

Hidden gem just a few miles from the I-17/260 interchange, yet super quiet. Every parking spot has one or two shade trees, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We brought UTV's and rode miles of miles of trails on national forest land, and then got an Uber for a ten-minute ride to Cliff Castle casino. read more

We arrived late after the office had closed, I went up to the office door and found no instructions that told how to check in after hours. So like we have done at least 75 times all over the country we found a spot, and parked our RV, planning to go to the office in the morning to pay for our spot and book another night. We then went to dinner with our relatives who lived near by, when we returned we found a note taped to the RV door stating the we needed to go to the office in the morning to pay for our spot, I thought no problem that was our intention. But as I continued to read the last line of the note stated that the Marshals had been called and were aware of our presents in the park. In the morning we were woke up at 7am by someone knocking on our door very loud, when I opened the door I recognized the owner of the park and he told me they didn't allow people to come in after hours and that we needed to go to the office to pay our bill. I told him we had stayed there in the past and were not aware of this rule and asked him what time the office opened. He said the office opened at 9 and I was there about 9:05, when I went in I thought I just needed to not say anything, pay for my spot and get the heck out of there, but the owner decided to escalate the situation by saying if we had stayed there before we should have known the rules and they should have had us towed, and kept calling me a Democrat and saying that being from California I must be a Democrat and prefer open borders, etc. I told them if they didn't want people coming in after hours it should be posted and maybe have a gate with a key pad, like the park down the road. His wife was also in the office yelling at me also and at one point told me I was scaring her and making her very nervous. It was her husband who decided to escalate the situation but it was me that was scaring her. So if you don't like staying with Adolf and Eva there is another park right down the street (Verde River RV Resort and Cottages) it is less expensive, has more things to do, and the people are very friendly. By the way we are very conservative, not that it should make a difference as we are all Americans. read more

Not one of our better experiences. Assigned space at the end corner where four sites crammed together in pie shaped lots. Not enough room to park your tow vehicle crosswise in front of your rig. As such owners/managers demand, not request, you move your vehicle to accommodate tenants moving into an adjacent site at a moments notice or they would call the sheriff and make us move. Threaten customers? Not a way to get repeat business. Did us no favors. Recommend you stay at the RV next door. More sites better rates less drama. read more
