We had thought about purchasing a casket online, but then I read some horror stories about late shipments and had Mom pick a casket from one of their packages. The facility was undergoing upgrades and renovations, but Nancy made sure that everything was perfect for Mom's service. She even found us a "renegade" clergyman to give a blessing (Mom just loved that!). They just installed a wide screen TV if you want to do a video presentation. The two gentlemen who helped with the logistics of the ceremony were very helpful at the graveside service. My only complaint: the printing/reproduction on the thank you cards was a little less than stellar. I don't think Stickel was responsible for that. The corporation that owns Stickel -- Simple Tribute -- was probably responsible. But I work with printers as part of my job, so my standards are pretty high.

No grass would grow there. His stone was always covered in mud every time they watered. It was horrible!!! So we found a way to make it where we could visit with him and not end up with caked mud in our shoes or having to clean it every time. We laid down artificial turf after we could not get grass to grow, lined it with bricks to keep it in place. And they did nothing about it. NOTHING! Now we are being told we can't have any of it. Only two vases on the ground (where the rabbits can destroy them), a professional grave marker, and a single small item. I am spitting mad right now and devastated we have to go back to the cesspool. We took care of it, kept it neat, and this is what we get. I feel like we were taken advantage. Took our money and left us to deal with this.

There's a mixture of older tombstones and some that are more recent. There's kind of an eerie feeling when walking around and it's sad to see the children who have died. The cemetery overlooks a nice valley so great photo ops of nature. I didn't take too many photos inside the cemetery because it didn't feel right, but I do have one of the plaque right in front that explains the history behind the cemetery. Definitely a must see if you are in the area.

My uncle has been buried here for 21 1/2 years and you removed his headstone because it doesn't meet you code. Then fix whatever it is that you need to fix so it can be put back. This is not just a stone, it's a headstone. A headstone that represents an amazing man's life and death. A place for family and friends to visit. It represents the person he once was to help family members and friends come to find peace. That was all taken away without even informing the family of it. If that is value to your company, where people put their trust in you in times of need and pay you to take care of their loved ones, then you have allot to learn about value. The family had to call to find out what was going on, which resulted in being treated less than adequate, not once, but twice. No empathy for the situation whatsoever, or the family, who are trying to find out what happened to the headstone they enjoy seeing so much. If you cannot provide a satisfactory plot for someone's final resting place, then portray that you can. This is extremely saddening, disappointing, and careless.

I have been extremely disappointed with this cemetery. On December 14-2018 we buried someone who…read moremeant so much to our family. I have seen his wife go through so much since then. After the burial the plot was just covered in very large dirt clods. So big we couldn't break them up to smooth the area. Yes it was winter and grass is dormant during those months. What started happening was the plot was receding because of the weather. My friend had to request many times to add more dirt. It was hard to see this happening, it was very upsetting. No attention was given to this wonderful mans plot. Eventually my friend and her son put in their own sod and grass seed, because it was not getting done. Dealing with the office they were not concerned and abrupt at times. Now after speaking to other people who have family members buried there. They say they have gone through the similar issues with this cemetery. One thing I did not mention they have not had sprinklers until approximately two months ago. They are working and grass is getting mowed.
