At first I was a little shy because I am so awkward in front of a camera and dislike the attention on me, but he made me feel comfortable and guided me on how to pose (by myself and with my partner). He did my engagement photoshoot and wedding day photos. He really captured the perfect shots and understood my vision especially with my DTLA skyline photoshoot! He scoped out the space ahead of time. He was prepared and knew exactly where to park (we all know DTLA is chaotic with parking) and where to go . He is VERY efficient and mindful of time. Wow what to say about Randall...honestly just a huge component for why our wedding season (between engagement photos to the day of) has been fantastic. Here's why: 1. Randall was extremely communicative from the get-go, between being very transparent about costs and showcasing his portfolio, to throughout the day of the actual event. 2. Randall was extremely easy to work with. We are a camera shy couple, just used to taking selfies, and don't love being the center of attention at all. But during our engagement shoot, he handled us with care and ease, coaching us in a way that didn't feel awkward and let us feel natural and have fun with it all. We got some really funny photos out of it (like the piggy back rides) and probably have some amazing photos for the wedding as well. On the day of, with our parents who are definitely not used to photos, he very gently guided them through poses and made sure they felt comfortable as well. 3. Speaking of really goofy photos, he also dealt with our (very) reactive puppy who we had just adopted a few months prior. He had massive separation anxiety when we would leave him in the car, but he liked Randall because he wouldn't bark at him in the car and there was a point where Randall had to hold him on his own to take photos of us and he just waited patiently. So he also got Randall's good vibes. And the resulting photos were amazing with some being the funniest photos we've seen of our little fur baby. 4. On the day of, as my girls and I were running late, Randall went into action mode and went ahead with whatever photos he could get done without us there. In general, we felt more guided by him than our coordinator team tbh. He just seemed very on top of where we were supposed to be by when and communicated as such. 5. He went above and beyond the day of: we brought our own DSLR as we just wanted video recordings of very specific segments vs. hiring a whole videographer. We told him all he had to do was press record. No, this man would carry the camera into different locations to get different shots and made sure the camera was in the right positioning/lighting. He would also fix my train constantly, checked on us throughout the night, and even did another shot mid-way through the dancing portion when the dance floor became more of a conversation zone vs. a dancing section, which then brought the vibe back. Additionally, he took photos of all of our guests individually and as couples along with group photos with us once we arrived. This is all with ONE MAN. Truly, a spectacular job and just nothing we could have asked for more. 6. He also gave us great tips about our mini moon all inclusive that we left for the day after the wedding, so that was clutch. Truly an honor to work with Randall. If we ever do other photo shoots in the future for other life events or just a photo shoot just because, we will not hesitate to reach out to him. Randall took photos of my family for my grandma's 93rd birthday and it was such a wonderful experience. From the day I booked him he was very professional and communicative, even helping me choose what park we should take the photos at since I didn't know the area very well. My fiancé and I were engaged late June of this year and I was contacted by Randall shortly after. To be honest, we each have never experienced being in a photo shoot before, nor did I really know if I even had the right questions to ask. Randall was so patient with me and walked me through the entire process, discussed packages/prices and shared his own content so that I could visualize his style and get an idea of what my own shoot could be. His website is full of an overflowing amount of precious moments he captured from weddings, to engagements, to pregnancy announcements to even graduation events-- you can really feel the love in every photo. His website was very easy to navigate through as well. You can really see Randall's talent through each photo with his attention to detail and his impeccable editing skills. After putting together a contract for me, I signed away and we were ready to start! After showing him inspiration photos and discussing my own style of bright and white tones, Randall was so willing to work with me and even showed me some photos of a recent shoot he did that was similar to the tones I asked for. I appreciated his work ethic and eagerness to match my style. Randall kept in constant communication with me and was always there to answer any questions I had. He's a quick responder too! He suggested a handful of beautiful locations for me and even dealt with any permit inquiries that the location required. During the day of the shoot, Randall arrived earlier than our scheduled time to scope out the location just in case of any unexpected crowd. Although we could not get the exact landmark we were hoping for, Randall quickly had his eye on another section of the beach that ended up being such a perfect spot. I was absolutely in love with it! We jumped right into our first pose. I was nervous about what poses we were going to do for the duration of our shoot, (again, this was my first time) but Randall was so on top of it and gave us direction the whole way through. He had a million pose ideas that came right out of his pocket! I even appreciated him for telling me I had to fix my hair a few times. Ladies, if you don't bring your very own personal assistant, this minor detail is a must! I went into this day expecting the shoot to be somewhat of a little awkward given that I'm usually awkward when I try to pose, however, the photo shoot flowed so smoothly from beginning to end. With Randall's guidance and direction, we walked out of there feeling like professional runway models :) We had such a blast!
