When we first received our wedding video, it was a bit shorter than what we expected based on our contract. However, the team was very responsive to our feedback and worked with us to create four different edits, incorporating everything we requested. If you're looking for a baker or a candlestick maker you're reading the wrong review. The task was challenging: find a photographer for our 10 year high school reunion in Los Angeles, California. The logistics were a bit less than ideal: we have a very limited budget, need committee approval, and it's a Saturday night in L.A. Oh, and I live in San Antonio, Texas. Luxe {Event} Photography came very highly recommended from a couple of classically trained artists here in the L.A. area whom I know and trust. When I saw the website, I knew I was in the right place. But I didn't know if they'd be available on a Saturday night, want to deal with a bunch of late-20s reunion-types, and whether or not we'd be able to foot the bill for such an awesome product (seriously, check out the website). Laurie worked hands-on with us to tailor one of their packages to suit our exact needs for the night. She knew exactly what we were looking for, and figured out a package deal that was win-win for everyone. She got there early, set up her equipment, and patiently waited as we reminisced before goofing off with the props in front of the camera. And even though I tried my hardest to get her drunk, she contently sipped water all night. If you've ever seen a photographer get drunk at an event, you know the value behind sobriety, and we appreciated her ability to be professional and still bring out the fun-loving goofy side in everyone that jumped in front of her camera. It's hard to please everyone, but I didn't hear any complaints about having a fun photographer at our reunion. I'll definitely be contacting Luxe Event Photography in 5 years for a repeat performance!
