She took before and after (photoshopped) photos and told me what to expect and we reviewed the costs. If I waited until October or later there was a prospective discount that might be available. I was willing to wait for that possibility. In September an availability became open with the aforementioned discount. Then I met with the doctor, head nurse, and Jamie again at my next appointment. Both Dr Greg Chernoff and Nurse Julie have been doing these procedures that I was selecting for 30 years. I was comfortable with everything they were telling me. My only concern was for the length of time for me personally to heal at that point. I figured it might be longer than normal due to my age. Everybody was extremely helpful and made me 100% comfortable with their process and procedures. Since I lived an hour away, they asked if I had time and we decided to do the the pre-op appointment at the same time. I learned my surgery was going to take five hours which is the longest I've ever been under general anesthesia. During the following week, I was able to get approvals from my primary care physician as well as the specialist that sees me for my worst chronic disease and get her approval too. The anesthesiologist approved the procedure with a weekend phone call. Nurse Julie had called me on the prior Sunday to review a lot of information as well. These people really go above and beyond what I am used to in the medical profession. Dr. Chernoff absolutely goes way beyond any expectations you would have to a point you have to tell your friends and family how amazingly he stands by his statement of "we're going to take real good care of you" which he stated to me several times before my surgery. He came through for me 1000% on everything. On my day of surgery, Wednesday September 28, I left the waiting area and went back to the pre-op bed on time and soon Dr. Chernoff visited me to go over what lay ahead. I had a couple of questions about recovery expectations. Then Dr. Himebstein, my anesthesiologist, came to review my medications, my blood work, and ask questions about my medical history. I did not have any questions for him because he covered everything so thoroughly. I woke up six hours later and Nurse Ellen took care of me for the rest of the day and all night. I was her only patient to take care of. There was one other overnight patient but he too had his own nurse. Soft drinks, snacks , and pain meds were available for whenever you needed them. Dinner was provided by a delivery service from Jimmy John's. I had Teddy Grahams for dessert. In the morning, I got checked out earlier than expected after visiting with Dr. Chernoff again. He again reaffirmed everything wet smoothly and I told him I was happy with the results. As a matter of fact the pain threshold was much lower than I had expected. We confirmed my next appointments for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings. I ended up checking into the Drury Plaza Hotel, only two stop lights from Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery, on Friday so I didn't have an hour commute every day and needless stress over I-465 daily traffic. I had thought about this plan before the surgery so I was prepared. Corinne, a 15 year employee, saw me every day except weekends and helped me immensely in the office with my post operative recovery on the following Friday, then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week. Dr Chernoff referred me to the Hyperbaric Oxygen Clinic for four oxygen treatments which helped with my healing and recovery immensely. I completed the four daily consecutive treatments on Friday, October 7th, as well as nine daily consecutive appointments with Chernoff Cosmetic Surgery on the same Friday. On Monday, October 10th, the rest of my sutures were removed. My healing and recovery are right on schedule. Now I will be seen once a week for the next month, then once a month for a few months. I'm still completely satisfied with the results, and with Dr. Chernoff and his awesome staff! Once I am completely healed, I will upload a new profile photo and you all can tell me what you think (if anyone is still reading my longest review, lol). I was quite nervous and felt very awkward about the whole thing because I'd never had anything cosmetic done and hadn't planned to in my lifetime. I've never spoken with a plastic surgeon before and was also afraid that I might get unsolicited advice (i.e. "Well, if we change x or y, you'll look SO much better!") that would hurt my feelings for a long time or something honestly. Nothing I was concerned about came true in the least bit; his bedside manner was A+, and Dr. Diepenbrock was also extremely sympathetic about some personal issues I shared with him that had caused my tension headaches to become much worse in recent months. He came up with a generous and cost-effective plan for treating me during our session but then also suggested that I seek out a doctor that accepts insurance for my type of issue - read: he wasn't even trying to make a return customer out of me, he's really just that nice. As for the results? I definitely feel that it worked. I still get headaches from time-to-time from dehydration or if my neck/shoulder/upper back tension gets too out-of-control; however, the "transfer of tension" to my head doesn't happen nearly as often. These days, I can still feel when the rest of my muscles are tight and aching, but at least it doesn't turn into a headache that prevents me from remembering things or thinking clearly. I think I'll look into having the same treatment on some of my neck/shoulder muscles and see if that solves the problem completely. I'm so grateful that Dr. Diepenbrock was so knowledgeable about this type of issue and was so willing to work with me in my situation because now I might be more on the track to completely solving my 20-year issue. I came in with a procedure in my mind, I am losing volume in my face and wanted it corrected. They basically talked me out of the procedure, and just recommended to take better care of my skin. I have no wrinkles but my pores could be smaller and I have spots of sun damage. I could do a better job looking after my skin for sure. They put together some products for me from Obagi line, Dr.Diepenbrock did a tiny bit of Botox to relax muscles under my eyes when I smile so it doesn't cause wrinkles and hollowness under eyes and they sent me home. Next day my eyes look really relaxed when I smile, I love it. The botox shots were not painful and left no marks! I have a follow up scheduled in June.

Paige said there would be a little bit of a spicy feeling but my husband said he felt fine and it never burned. So that was great. We were told to try to leave the cream on as long as possible, so he did. He went to wash it off today and that's when we took everything out of the bag & learned that we did not get everything. Instructions say to apply retinol crème complex packet which he wasn't given. He was given an ice pack, that he didn't need. Also given a blue box of I believe the hydration crème. So at this point I feel like treatment isn't even going to work & what a waste of $300 when it's not done correctly. Beyond disappointed! I tried calling the clinic and no answer because it's a Saturday of course. Smh

PHOTOS INCLUDED I walked in today, was given forms after being asked about insurance, rushed into a room with no time to fill out the paperwork. I was asked if I had insurance multiple times. Doctor came in and didn't acknowledge us (gf was with me) and told me to sign the paperwork even though he knew i hadn't read it yet. He immediately complained to me that this paperwork shouldve been done already. I had only had this paperwork for 10 minutes while simultaneously having to answer many questions from the nurse. I honesty felt like he made a lot of "sideways" remarks. I felt rushed throughout the whole process. Not talking in a way that resembled a medical professional doing. He asked me about my axillary. When i was obviously confused, he repeated axillary again. When i was still obviously confused, he rudely replied armpit. My gf was in the room, after my appointment she admitted to me that after her years of medical classes, literally having to memorize the whole body multiple times, she was still confused by him acting this way. Why would an experienced medical proffesional talk to a patient this way? "I dont know about your insurance, but you obviously have some things going on." He said this after he already knew i didnt have insurance. My girlfriend's main concern comes in with the medical paperwork. When we left we were given only one paper. It was the receipt for the "service" the business owner who was the doctor "provided." We went home and she said that we needed my medical paperwork and pointed out it was VERY weird that i was provided with no paperwork about my condition especially considering that it was a condition neither of us had heard about nor about the medication that was prescribed. We went back for my medical paperwork and they were kind of weird about it. Repeated several times that they werent sure if they could print it and that he hadnt signed it yet. In return, i kept repeating that i just wanted my information and they eventually let me have it. My gf's top concern is that many things in the paperwork that werent talked about and she only feels relieved we basically demanded to have it because we use many things that the paperwork says makes my condition worse. I cant think of anything else to say at the moment, but if you HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE but to go here, be prepared, stay safe, know your rights and do your own research.
