My husband and I both got maple lattes and they were delicious! They had a bit of sea salt in them. The only downside is the only food they have is muffins and cookies. Very hipster place and very small inside with not much seating, but it is cute. There was only one person working and he was nice. You order at the counter and wait for your drink. This is a lovely little local coffee shop. It is a simple coffee and tea type place with no food but the atmosphere of friendly local hangout is wonderful. It was the kind of place where the barista knew everyone and most of the patrons knew everyone too and they were there to hang out, socialize, write the next great American novel, pet each others dogs, etc. The drinks were good and made with care. This cafe was the perfect stop to finish off our trip to West Virginia. I loved how it had so much personality, with the decor on the walls and merch, as well as lots of cozy areas to sit and chill. They offered drinks made from locally sourced West Virginia maple syrup and honey, as well as matcha from Mem Tea and pour overs. Operations were taken care of by one person so it could take a bit of time if there are a lot of people, but the barista was so nice and explained everything really well. The pour over I got was very smooth and well balanced. I also got to try the hojicha and it was also good. Although it doesn't come sweetened, you can ask to add sweetener. Love this cozy little coffee shop! I had been hiking about in New River Gorge National Park for a few days and was in desperate need of caffeine, a warm beverage, and a cozy spot to sit and relax for a bit. Range Finder Coffee was just the spot -- it's a cozy enclave filled with plenty of natural light, great ambient music, and super friendly people (both customers and staff). I had a great conversation with the barista about my hikes and their recommendations on other areas to visit around West Virginia and swapped stories with several other hikers (some of whom also had their dogs!!). The coffee was fantastic -- super rich and aromatic, and everything I needed after trekking out in the woods for the last few days. The barista also recommended their pumpkin chocolate chip muffin, which was absolutely divine. It was packed with pumpkin and spices, so each cinnamon-y, nutmeg-y, ginger-y bite felt like I was taking a bite of fall. It was also loaded with chocolate chips -- the muffin was probably about half muffin and half chocolate, which was delightful. Very lowkey spot near New River Gorge National Park. Stopped in yesterday for an iced tea for my husband and a hot matcha for myself before we went hiking with the dogs. They had several non-dairy options to choose from and a wide tea selection. The shop was decorated with tons of photographs and art and they had several thriving plants in the front window, so it's a super cute spot. Plenty of merch to choose from as well! The baked goods were picked over, but it was afternoon when I stopped in and they probably get bought up quickly. Service was quick and friendly, I can see why this is a favorite spot. Was in town with a friend of mine looking for some cool local coffee shops to check out. We found Rangefinder near one of the restaurants were going to eat at and we had a great experience here! The Coffee itself was delicious, I got the cold brew and the cold cup of coffee really hit the spot. The coffee shop itself was really nice. An espresso match for the mountains, what a find! Us guys loved the mocha and maple lattes we sipped. This places oozes fresh easy going vibes like a hidden Alpine Easter egg. The girls behind the counter were working overtime while being extra friendly. I really wished for bigger size options. Quality java at this level must be allowed to caffeinate me even more before a hike. We noticed the mocha chocolate did settle a bit and become awkward to drink but my maple was balanced and mixed perfect. Parking was a trick with only narrow streets. This is definitely not wheelchair accessible or easy for large humans. It's very small, limited seating. All the more reasons to pray for a miracle and workout that weight! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the dining area was cozy except multiple brought their dogs inside which is kind of gross if you think about it. We were there on a Saturday morning, the line was out the door, and there was only one guy behind the counter. He was working the register, making the coffee, and serving the customers, all while having lengthy conversations with each person. This is a great spot for morning coffee! Our family was visiting Fayetteville in late June 2021 for white-water rafting, hiking, and fishing. The coffee shop is a bit difficult to find initially, but it's located in the back section of the Water Stone Outdoor Goods shop (which is next to the Courthouse). If you're driving in town, there is a small private parking lot just near the Courthouse. Craig, the owner, is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He can share insights about the town, activities, and what the New River Gorge National Park designation means for the local economy. It's bringing more visitors (which is good), but without federal funding to upgrade one-way road signs and other necessary infrastructure investments (which is bad). The coffee is a wonderful way to start the day. I enjoyed a cup of cortado (espresso with a bit of milk) on two separate mornings. It provided a nice caffeine boost for a morning hike on the Long Point Trail (the views of the bridge are awesome). However, be sure to pack your patience. If there's a line of people in front of you when you arrive, it may take a few minutes as Craig is the only person behind the counter. But it's worth the wait! read more

After a few days of searching for a decent coffee in the area, we were moved once we stepped into this store where because this place alone redeemed all the horrible other coffees we had before. My drip coffee was perfect. It was smooth yet dark, had a lot of fine notes to it and was one of tue best coffees I've ever had (and I am a bit of a coffee snob). My wife cried a little when she tried her latte and we had the perfect day afterwards. What a gem! Looking desperately for quality coffee in Fayetteville, we were guided by some locals to go to this place, which is actually located inside an outdoor gear/ apparel shop. As soon as I walked inside, Maura, the owner of the apparel store, shouted out in excitement at the camera I was wearing on my neck. She suggested I show it to Craig, the amazing coffee dude. Craig was busy in the back of the store making amazing coffee, and it just so happens that he is also a film photography enthusiast as myself. This was the inspiration for the name he chose for his coffee bar, "The Rangefinder". How appropriate! I was with 3 friends and we all like coffee. Excited to get my daily juice, I ordered a quad espresso. It seriously could not have been any smoother! I was astonished at how good it was. Craig even had half&half on the ready for me. Craig is chatty and an a really awesome person to talk to, works all day with positive energy and he is passionate about his craft, guaranteeing the best possible coffee brew with each cup.
