He showed me around the store, explained what the various types of rigs were. He did it without overwhelming me. He couldn't have been more friendly. The prices seemed great. Jim ties most of the rigs in the store and that certainly helps keeps prices down and ensures quality. I appreciated what he didn't do as much as what he did do. He didn't try to sell me more than I needed. He is looking for repeat customers not just a one and done. What I can tell you is this. Jim's will be my go to shop. The website noted that the fishing conditions weren't prime yet, due to currents of some sort. But as we were a group of total newbies, we were just as excited about going out onto the ocean far from shore as we were to discover fishing. The charter departed right on time. We went to several spots to fish and everyone caught at least one fish - we think we had a ringer with us, judging by the 6 fish she caught. We hooked a flounder but it was undersize and had to be returned to the ocean. You can take your fish home and clean them yourself or walk over to the shop and have them clean the fish for you for a very small fee. This was a lot of fun and we enjoyed eating our fresh fish quite a bit.
