Katie was easy to work and we arranged everything via email and phone. FOOD is AMAZING! Flavorful crab soup, seafood paella, short ribs and large crab cakes were part of our catered menu. Taste Events set up the buffet for us at our beach rental and everything was fresh and hot. My family could not stop raving about the food. Would highly recommend this company for any event large or small. We were a small party (only 10 of us) and the serve and food was excellent. She left me high and dry this past season after promises of doing the cleaning herself and not…read morehiring (subbing) out the work to other people. She promised to clean herself because of complaints I rec'd. One of the "subs" and her ?boyfriend? were caught on camera discussing how to bring "something" out of the back door and when the cameras weren't plugged in. (uploaded to youtube). Her subs were seen on camera smoking out front, side and rear of the house while hanging out? The cleaning was sub par and the cost was equivalent to those who provide their own cleaning supplies. She sent texts complaining about how the house was dirty after stays which is what she was hired to clean. She complained that she spent time on her hands and knees cleaning the carpet so I purchased a rug washer (and also having the rugs cleaned quarterly); she never once used it. She promised to do laundry which often wasn't done. She would randomly show up to my house when there were no renters (on camera and door code notifications). I would send supplies to her house where she stated that " she may have used them at other houses" was abhorrent. My cost of resupplying paper products and cleaning products was significantly less this year than with CC.

She was a disaster, really only interested in doing what she wanted to do instead of doing what I wanted to have done. I showed her pictures of simple helium balloon trees I wanted 10 of made exactly that way. She gave me a hot mess of a variety of sizes and heights of balloon clusters. She didn't have proper weights, so some were held down with pull top soda cans covered loosely with fabric. One cluster was tied to a chair. Guess what my 2 and a half year old grand daughter did when she saw the soda cans? Yep, started opening them! I could go on with the things that went wrong, but it is toooo painful. 2K not well spent.

They also offer a full cocktail menu made with their own craft brandy, plus house‑brewed beer for anyone who prefers hops over grapes. And there is also food. Farm‑to‑table dishes that pair perfectly with whatever is in your glass. It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

We reached out to Jodie and the team prior to the pandemic and selected the venue March 2020. It was an outdoors venue that she had never personally worked but meet our wishes (outdoors, # of guests, sunset, etc). She knows all the caterers and wedding services in the area and quickly helped us down-select. She was able to quickly put together our dream team. We meet with Barefoot Beach Bride several times between March 2020 and the wedding date (May 2021). Each time, it was clear that the team took into consideration the prior discussions and matured the plan. Barefoot Beach Bride meet with our dream team (food, tent, venue, etc) the week before at the venue to ensure that everyone was coordinated. On the wedding day, there wasn't much for us (the bride and groom) to worry about as the team handled all the behind the scene details. The team even packed everything up at the end of the reception was it was we didn't have to worry. For reference: beach wedding (barefoot!), sunset, ~100 guests, ~$30k budget (entire wedding, includes clothing and gifts) Imagine a wedding with no drama and nothing forgotten. That's what you can get when you hire Jodie and the rest of the Barefoot Beach Bride team.
