Let me tell you how they almost lost by business. In December I purchased a firearm that fell apart SAME DAY. They did not make the pistol I get that. SPB sent it to the manufacture for warranty as they should (I guess). The failure was the promise to follow up with phone calls and emails on the progress of repairs. Every month I got "I'll call the manufacture and email you with update." Every month NOTHING!!! Theeeen... Ashleigh L. shows up. I tell her my story. 4 months of nothing and she makes one phone call and gets answers. Calls me when she says she will and suddenly I have information. Then a week later, be it coincidence or magic my pistol is in my happy little hands. Thank you Ashleigh L. I'm keeping my membership because you are there. This is a nice place to shoot if you can get someone to acknowledge you. One guy at the register and three others watching 15 people line up without helping. I keep trying to like it but always seem to walk out mad. Hard to pay money to someone who doesn't care about your experience. read more

I have to admit, my first visit to SPB did not leave a good first impression and I considered it a 1 star visit at best. I went in around the beginning of August since I was considering the purchase of a new CZ pistol. I also wanted to check out the facility since I wouldn't mind access to an indoor range when the weather gets iffy. Long story short, I was able to look at a few through the glass but in 30 minutes, not 1 person asked if I needed help nor did anyone actually acknowledge my existence in any way. I left and then purchased a TS2 from another LGS later that week where they were happy to show me the items I was interested in and take my money. Fast forward to my visit today. I purchased a firearm online and almost immediately regretted my decision after again looking at reviews for SPB. I only ordered the pistol because they had some type of a flash sale on it making it a very attractive purchase that even other online dealers couldn't touch. I wanted another CZ type firearm that I didn't have to worry about carrying on my person or in the car since the TS2 is a bit excessive, both in price and size. The order was made last Sunday and today, 2 days later, I received an email saying that my purchase was ready for pickup. I printed out the email as requested and off to SPB I went. I walked around the store for a couple of minutes when Cory asked if I needed any help. I mentioned that I had an online order that was supposed to be ready for pick up and handed Cory the printed email. He stated that my order may not be ready until tomorrow since I had only received the email approximately 30 minutes earlier. Uh oh, here we go. Fortunately, he went to check and it was in fact ready for me to pick up. While Cory was elsewhere looking for my order, I had a female employee (didn't get her name) also ask me if I needed any help. I signed the paperwork to take possession and Cory was very friendly during the entire process and we had a nice chat. This experience was the other end of the spectrum from my first visit and I could not have asked for or expected a better experience than I had today. I haven't yet used the range but that is now on my to-do list after a much better 2nd visit today. Honestly, I wasn't sure that I would ever go back after the first visit. Today was a 5 star visit and I will hope for a similar experience on my next visit but I still had to consider the first visit when deciding on a rating. I've been on the fence about these guys for awhile, but now I've fallen off. Just got an email from their corporate office bragging that "THERE ARE NO STATE MASK RESTRICTIONS OR MASK REQUIREMENTS." So, if you haven't been vaccinated against COVID, or you care about the lives of your loved ones, I would stay far away from the disease rats at this place (not that they followed or enforced the mask requirements in the first place, more than half of their staff NEVER wore masks)! Thats's not not the only reason not to like this place; there are several. Although there are a few guys that work there that are half way competent, I would say that the majority know little about the things they're selling (guns). One recent California transplant employee once tried to tell me there is no such thing as "generations" of Glocks. He them proceeded to espouse his wacky right wing/ discriminatory conspiracy theories to me. Another salesman didn't know the difference between .357 MAG and .357 SIG. Although these are just examples, it should give you an idea of what the knowledge base is like around this place. Even the older guys are like this. A common game the staff like to play here is called "Who can act like more of a badass". Turnover rate is sky high, the staff has almost completely turned over in the last year. If their ignorance of their products isn't bad enough, if you want to buy something, they will actively try and avoid you. I've been a member for a long time, and I've gotten dirty looks and straight up ignored when asking for assistance with a purchase. They'll turn their back on you, or walk in opposite directions until they run out of places to hide to avoid helping you. One dude wouldn't accept my Texas CHL as an ID when I was checking into the range. WTF is that all about? Oh yeah, THEY INSIST ON SCANNING ALL ID'S SO THEY CAN MINE DATA AND SELL IT TO 3rd PARTIES. Don't believe me? Go shoot, or buy ammo, and watch them scan your ID. No exceptions. The ONLY thing this place has going for it is that it's one of the only shows in town. We all know it's slim pickings in RR/ P-Ville. So, yeah, I'm triggered (pun intended), but this place is unsafe. I forgot to mention how the RO's walk away from the lanes all the time and leave rambunctious groups and new shooters unattended. I was almost killed when lady ND'd her weapon in the lane next to me. This place isn't safe. I'll go to a range where I can fire my guns as fast as I want, and where i don't feel like I'm gonna lose my life through one means or another. P.S. All the "we have ammo" emails are lies unless maybe you're looking for some obscure, ridiculous, collectible caliber. read more

Don't be fooled by the 20-lane gun range. They often close half the lanes even if there are shooters waiting to use the range. Staffing can't be the reason as there are several "sales" people standing around. read more

We recently moved to the area from Houston where we were members of that SPB. The employees at that location were awesome! I was disappointed when I saw all of the negative reviews of the Round Rock location on Yelp. We decided to go check them out this past weekend & were pleasantly surprised! Rey was the first person we interacted with at the counter & he was very helpful, knowledgeable & professional. He ended up coming in as a range officer & even answered a few questions we had in there as well. We decided to buy more ammo because it worked well for us from Brandon who was also very personable. I called the store today to inquire about a firearm I saw when I was there & spoke to Isaac who was very helpful & kind. The place is quite clean & well ventilated. We all have bad days but so far we are very happy with this SPB location. We will be going back soon & often. read more

It was a good range with some very nice workers, but the interaction with the "boss man" was not good. He was very rude and did not fully explain that it's three boxes of ammo per day no matter what caliber. When he first told me he said three boxes and I assumed it was per weapon not per day. And I had told him I wanted to rent two separate weapons and he still gave me the three boxes for the first one so I assumed he understood. Well I was wrong and when I went to rent another another worker explained it correctly to me, when I said I was confused cause that's not how I was told the "boss man" from a corner rudely said that's what I told you and started to argue with me about it. I'll start by saying im a Latino man, I have multiple tattoos on my face, neck and etc. I've Meet two maybe three employees who were actually decent people, the rest always try they're best to not make me feel unwanted, I constantly have stare contest's with their managers or employees who obviously assume I'm not eligible to own a firearm due to my appearance. Was excited to try out this new range in my neighborhood and excited when they sent me a coupon for a range bag and a bundle of range passes. Turns out it was just to get people in the door. They refused to honor their own coupon because "it was intended to be a Father's Day promotion." Yet there was no expiration date on the coupon. I was very disappointed with this business. I sent my son to pick up some items that I needed and he was treated very poorly. He said that the older gentleman there completely ignored him when he asked three different times if he could pay with him. My son is a very kind person and it was upsetting to know that somebody would be so unprofessional when he was just trying to run an errand for his mother. We will not return.... read more

The people at the store are great, but Range USA has terrible practices for ripping off their clients with their classes, First getting the class scheduled was terrible experience as there is no clear calendar graphical interface that lets you select a solid date. So the booking system they use is terrible. They email you to book your class after you pay. I finally booked a class and needed to try to reschedule due to an emergency. Don't bother calling the store for this they will not help you. You must contact Range USA through an email form there is no direct number to them, they will email you back with with a claim that they can not refund your money or reschedule you, Take your classes somewhere else where they care about their clients I basically lost $130 on this and the kicker is that I have actually paid to use their range and bought items from their store before, so no honor even for a returning client? I will be going somewhere else for any classes and range time/classes due to this. if you want an ok indoor range to shoot is fine for that make sure you bring your own ammo don't purchase any there prices are crazy, and as for classes their website doesn't even have a spot that shows you your schedule properly pretty bad implementation for scheduling The store should have the ability to do all of this at the store but they do not someone was not paying much attention to detail when they designed this class system as a web developer, you guys need a major overhaul of your courses scheduling and management system. you need system that also lets the store manage and schedule clients instead of telling them to go home and do it on their computer that is extremely unprofessional and is surely costing you business. So get a direct phone line for clients that are taking courses so they can reach someone directly at RangeUSA corporate if you're going to keep doing these transactions at the corporate level, or just let the store manage this stuff for you. makes absolutely no sense the way you have any of this setup. Thanks for ripping me off for a course you would have made 1000x more off of me or anyone just rescheduling a class. Return and happy clients == more revenue in your pocket read more

This gun range is by far the best in the North Travis or Williamson County area. It is super clean and well run by well trained and experienced employees. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I have been a regular there since they opened and have yet to have a bad experience. read more

Today I decided to try a new gun store and range in the Round Rock area. I had seen the Shoot Point Blank store from the highway several times and always thought I should give it a try. I was not disappointed that I finally stopped. The place is clean and the staff friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about the guns they have, and boy do they have guns. I'm in my 90's and they took the time to listen to my questions and to answer them thoroughly. A special thanks to Ashleigh she made me feel welcome and really took the extra effort to make sure I got all the information I was after, I will return in the near future for all my shooting needs. read more

I would like to tell my colleagues about the appalling experience I had at Shoot Point Blank in Round Rock, Texas. Given my formal firearms training, I agreed to take a friend (first time shooter) and two others out to practice. It is important to note that all three of my companions were black men. We arrived in the evening and found the check-in desk. The irritable and overwhelmed staff lent an air of anxiousness to the store. As a veteran, I found this atmosphere to be counter-productive to a safe shooting environment. We were gruffly called up to the counter by a man with a gun on his hip (Chris I believe). Chris was demanded the required identification and other information, was devoid of manners (please, thank you, you are welcome), gave the bare minimum of information, told us the wait time would be an hour and a half, and then curtly dismissed us when he realized one of us had forgotten their ID. We returned in 15-20 minutes with all required documents in hand. We were helped by a different associate this time who quoted us a wait of only 20 minutes for two adjacent lanes. (Where did the other hour of waiting quoted by Chris go?) We gout our lanes very quickly and fired without incident under the Range Safety Officer. On their LinkedIn Shoot Point Blank, states they have "dedicated" Range Safety Officers. I take this to mean that the RSO's who work on the line do not do sales and vice versa. Five minutes before our time was up, the Sales Associate turned RSO (Chris) took over as RSO and immediately began harassing us. I was finishing up firing my last shots and my friends were packed up and behind the line waiting. Chris immediately begins demanding they leave because they aren't shooting. We were not informed of the two shooters to a lane rule and had no issue with the previous RSO. Either way, Chris could have easily and respectfully explained the situation to us and given some solutions to the issue (go chill in your lane, stand against the wall for a minute while your friend finishes, etc.) The older gentlemen in our group explained to Chris that we were on our way out. Chris proceeded to tell me to remove myself from the lane. I had finished shooting, still had a minute left, and was simply loading up the spare rounds I had into a magazine. Chris would not allow me to do this and demanded we all leave. He was aggressive and disprespectful, talking to us like dogs. It was at this point that I told Chris he had been ugly and ill-tempered since my friends and I arrived. I saw him treating nobody else the way he treated myself and my black companions. I attempted to place a complaint with Ashley (the manager I guess?) but was dismissed. She questioned my integrity and refused to meet with me about the issue. This company also claims to promote a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for people to enjoy the hobby. What an awful experience at a place that has such potential and what a horrible experience for a first-time shooter. read more

Was looking at a lower for a while and i had a membership through them and asked them about the process which i was told it usually takes 1-2 days from date of received to check in and be ready for pick up. Ordered a lower through bear creek arsenal and it got there fine and dandy no problems until a week later i call and ask to check its status which i had gave them 3 times what they had said it would take to be ready and they are very rude when you ask about it saying " we will do it when we do it" and then proceed to say they don't know why people always call about it expecting it to be done same day and hang up. Then another week goes by i go to the store in person (at this point still had a membership) go to the range and on my way out casually ask an employee who is on their phone not looking to be busy, he proceeds to let out a huge sigh and then asks my name and goes and comes back no more than 15 minutes later saying it's not ready so i explain the situation then he asks some what seems like information to actually check it in and says they will call me in 2-3 days and that he is giving the lady who checks them in my information.... It's been 2 weeks sense that encounter call again to get the information on how to return it to a place where it is not going to collect dust and charge me $75 to never even check it in they get their manager and barge back on saying just call bear creek arsenal they will talk to the range people and i did not need to and not to call back. Legit worst customer service I've ever seen/heard of and I've done nothing but customer service i know that nothing they said to me or in the manner they did was appropriate by anyones standards. My husband gets few days off every week. We finally found some time to try out this new range together and were excited because it was close to our house. During the check in process (there were 2 people behind us waiting) my husband asked if he could buy a sight before going into shoot. The guy checking us in was nice but Rick H. "Team Leader" was so DISRESPECTFUL! He looked my husband in the eyes and said "well there are people waiting to shoot soo??" with a major tone and hands up in the air like we were inconveniencing him? I'm sorry, you don't want us to buy a $600 sight??? Maybe politely say hey we are a little busy but give me a few minutes and I can definitely help you out. Instead we got the most disrespectful response right to our faces. We never will be back that's for sure. That's not how you treat customers. We got a refund and we're headed to The Range in Austin.
