We had Lester to help us. It was our first time to the range. There were 3 of us. Me and my wife and a friend and it was her first time to shoot. Lester was very patient getting us set up. Just opened on 3/7/20. Friendly staff and a good selection of guns and accessories. Slightly higher range fees than other local ranges, but they do have daily specials and monthly memberships that make it more competitive. If you plan on going more than twice a month, the $39.99/month premium membership is a good deal since you get unlimited shooting on weekdays and weekends, plus some other perks. Overall, I think of it as a smaller version of The Range in south Austin. Wish they had lanes longer than 20 yards, but it's otherwise good for handgun shooting. read more

I ordered an AR online from Range USA and it had to be shipped for pickup at the Round Rock store. Susy McMillen helped me with the delivery and paper work for the firearm less than a week ago. You knew exactly what she was doing and man what a deal with the 10% off the already sale price for members only. Two days later, I went in to Susy and purchased a compact 9MM pistol and again Susy was excellent in getting everything taken care of and going through all the paperwork. And again, the value of the purchase was crazy. No other gun shop could get within $50.00 close to what I purchased that pistol for. Just started coming here this year, usually went to reds in the past when wanting to shoot indoor. I have no complaints from the 5 times I've been here besides how much ammo I end up shooting, which is obviously not their fault. The range also feels safe you have some barriers in between each lane longer than the ones at reds. I like that because your essentially shooting next to strangers sometimes. They have a good selection of firearms and accessories at a decent price. Really clean looking place and the staff has always been friendly. read more

What a pretentious lot these smug employees are. I went in for ammo and asked about 9mm when I couldn't find it. This older guy smiles and says "Ya we got it". Then I have to drag it out of him that they won't sell it to you unless you join their range program. We have always had good experiences when using Range USA. We purchased a gun in late December, the service we received was great. Expecting the same service we went back toward the end of January to purchase another hand gun for my wife. Susy helped us again and things went as expected. After all the paperwork was done we headed out with our new revolver. The instructions tell you to get use to the pull of the hammer and holding the gun. My wife was practicing and getting comfortable with handling it before we took it to the range to practice. The hammer and trigger locked, and would not move. It was about 3 hours from the time of purchase we returned to Range USA with the revolver. We told the counter person (Lester) what happened, he proceeded to take the grip apart to see if he could fix it. Realizing he did not know what it was I encouraged him to stop and put it back together. He then offered us a phone number to a gun smith to have the gun repaired. I explained to him again it was brand new. Susy came by and seen there was an issue and got Howard the manager. He told us all sales are final and they could not do anything since the gun left the shop. It was my responsibility to contact the manufacture and send it in. We left unhappy but respected the policy. I called Ruger to get the revolver sent in. The Ruger rep explained to me that typically new guns get sent in by the dealer. The part of the experience that bothers me is that we were put out having to call the manufacture to get the RMA, take the gun to a staffed FedEX, buy an additional box to ship when all of this could have been handled by Range USA as a customer service. read more

Interesting experience. I called them at about 5:45 PM to see if I could get to shoot if I come in before 7:30 as they close at 8. I was told yes, last mag at 7:45. 30 minutes drive. I get in at 7:22. When I get there - I am told no you can't shoot as we have a class tonight and we are closing in 10 minutes. I mentioned my phone conversation from less than 2 hours ago. All I got was a shrug. All in the same day. The review is even done before 7:30. read more

I have been shooting here every other week for a couple of months. I love how clean the place is and everyone is very nice. Range bosses even help me pick up my cases when I let them know in advance that I reload. I only wish they also had a 100 yard range so that I didn't have to mess around with other places in town. If you shoot often get them membership. It is much cheaper and it is a blast getting free rentals to try out other guns when they have ammo you can purchase. read more

Good standard range, although a bit on the pricey side. $6 for a waiver fee which seems to expire in under a year is something that leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth, to be honest. Compared to Red's, this facility is much more up to date, clean, and spacious. Never have any issues with the staff and the RSO's are reasonable, if you know what you're doing you'll be fine and if you need help they'll get to you. read more

The sales process was fine, there were 2 associates that were really helpful but in the end they pushed me to a rifle that I was never thinking about buying. I made the choice but the gun ended up being one of the worst rifles I have ever owned. When I called to see what they knew about the issues the associate told me he was not familiar with the AR platform and said I needed to contact the gun manufacturer. Lesson learned, go to Reds or even a specialty shop like Saddle Rock or Capital Armory. I have had much better experiences there. read more
